Good morning!

Earlier today (8/29) you did a segment (it was around 7:45 I think) on getting prepared for a hurricane.  You had a man on that was showing some type of clip you can buy to help secure plywood to your windows/house.  Does anyone know where I might purchase these?  What are they called?  I’ve looked around on the Morning News page and can’t seem to find it.

We’re going to Lowe’s today to pick up plywood, if you can buy these clips at a hardware store I’d love to pick some up.

Hi Weather Dudes,

Just wondering what’s up with today’s weather?  Where are all the T-storms coming from?  I thought maybe we’d have an isolated storm or two, but this seems to be over the entire area. 

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, my yard needs rain badly!  I’m just wondering what I can expect for the ride home.  Is there a noon forecast I can watch?  All I could find was Mike’s Morning Forecast.

Hi Weather Guys,

Can any of you tell me what the weather forecast is for the Memorial Day weekend?  The Fox web site says 20% chance, is that accurate?  Do y’all know if it is likely to be overcast (as was last Saturday, squelching our beach plans).  Any info you have would be greatly appreciated!

Don’t feel bad Patty…  I ALWAYS thought that song was sung by the B52’s!!!  Now I find out it’s been REM all along.  How could I have been so misled?  LOL

The other morning I heard there are Superbowl commercials somewhere on the Sports page.  Can anyone direct me to where I might find these?

 Also, I keep hearing the morning guys talk about how we can watch them live, but I can’t find that either!

Anybody know where that might be? 

I noticed a new face this morning.  I think her name is Christy, but not sure, as I was getting dressed while watching.  My boyfriend heard them say she was from Florida.  Do we have a new meteorologist?  If so, welcome!

Hey, did everyone see Mike and the others rocking out on the news this morning?  Who all else was with him? 

They were great!  I only got to see a bit of it, since I had to leave for work.  Does anyone have a link where I could watch all of it?

Me, my boyfriend, and several friends are trying to plan a “fun” night downtown one weekend next month.  We want to stay close to the clubs and the train.  Can anyone recommend a great hotel downtown?  One that is nice, but not too expensive (we’re looking in the $130 to $180 range, but cheaper would be great as well).  I don’t go downtown a lot, so I’m not sure what is closest to the fun spots.  I’ve been checking out Hotel Icon on line, it looks pretty nice, but pricy.  That would be fine if it’s worth it.

Hey Guys,

 Do you have any idea if it’s going to be overcast tomorrow (Saturday)?  I want to make plans to take my boat out, but I will make alternate plans if it’s going to be funky and overcast. 

I would like to write a reply to tx46's blog about children and seatbelts, but am unable to, as there is no "comments" section.  Is this something it the way tx46 has the settings? 

How would she go about changing the settings so folks can reply?

I was just reading TexasDebs blog about the party.  It looks like everyone had a great time!!!  Great pictures, wish I coulda been there!

I was in Florida that weekend, waiting to see the shuttle launch.  Well, it was awesome!!!  I'd like to upload the video, but haven't got a clue how.  It's no biggie, but if anyone sees this post and knows how to help me, that'd be great!

I just remembered this morning that it’s been a year since you guys got the “new” news room!  Boy, how time flies!

Hey Everyone,

My Boyfriend and I are flying into Florida on Oct. 20th and plan to watch the Shuttle launch on the 23rd.  We both work for the same NASA contractor, so we’ll be able to go on site at Kennedy Space Center and watch. 

Now NASA is saying there might be a problem with some thermal tiles.  Keep your fingers crossed that launch goes as currently scheduled!!  I’ve never seen a launch, this is a once in a life time chance for me, and I’m soooo excited!! 

Tee-hee, I’ve been missing out on Blogging, since they made me work last week!  Boo-hoo! 

I wanted to say thanks to Andrea and folks who helped me figure out my Blog Technical Dilema!  I also wanted to say, Andrea, I love your pics!  Your pups are just too adorable!  Wow, I didn’t know you were so good at decorating cakes.  Very Awesome!
