It's not our fault if your DVD stops short.

Ok, it's out I do in fact work for Blockbuster Video.

So please understand that dvd players use light to read the dvds. Some dvd players, and there's no way of telling which ones. Will read dvds with more forgivness to scratches and dirt on the dvd, than others. Some will skip right over a big gash and keep on playing, then run across a speck of dust and stop completely. There's really no way of knowing which is which, so the next time you put a dvd in your player and it stops 3/4 the way through the movie just remember no matter how many times we put it in our store dvd player it might work fine or it may not. They all read diferently, it's just the luck of the draw.

We will though be more than happy to exchange it out for the same movie at no extra charge. So please try and remember we do understand the frustration you're feeling. It's probably happened to us more times than you could imagine.

I THINK I KNOW WHERE YOU WERE GOING WITH THE IT'S NOT OUR FAULT. AS TIME GOES BY IT SEEMS THAT TH WAY THE PUBLIC TREATS SOMEONE IS ONLY TRYING TO DO THEIR JOB BE IT VIDEO STORES, MARKETS,FAST FOOD,ETC. IF THINGS ARE NOT PERFECT AND EVEN IF THEY ARE THE PERSON WORKING GETS THE ATTITUDE TURNED TOWARDS THEM. IT IS PRETTY SCARY THAT ESPECIALLY OUR YOUNGER GENERATION IS SUCH A RUDE AND EVEN VULGAR GROUP. MY MOM WORKED WITH THE PUBLIC I FOLLOWED FOR ALMOST 17 YEARS AND I GUESS I ALWAYS TRY TO REMEMBER I WAS RSISED AND TAUGHT [53]THANK YOU,PLEASE HOLD OPEN DOORS FOR ELDERLY OR EVEN JUST DO IT SINCE I A WOMAN AM ABLE TO. SMILE SAY THANK YOU.

Aren't you sweet!!! That's so very nice of you to acknowlege my plead. It renews my faith in tody's society. You are so right, when you say it's all retail that this happens to. And like you, when I go out I go that little extra to put a smile on the cashier's face when I go through their line. I usually tell them that I too work in retail, and know what their going through. I've worked retail most of my adult life and love it for the most part. Call me crazy but I really love working at Blockbuster Video. There's alot more going on behind the counter than people know, as far as corp. policy goes. And I don't always agree with their politics, but that's everywhere.

if you go with the bootlegs ITS AGAINST THE LAW .(that means it is a crime)

block buster has always been great about letting me exchange movies not working , i have 0 complaints about them actually

I wouldn't waste your breath on this one memoryjoe. The username pretty much says it all. Besides it's usually people that are so filled with hate, that will also go to the movies and complain about how high the prices are. There's a reason it's so expensive to go to the movies, or have to pay anywhere from 21.99 to 29.99 for a CD. It's called bootlegging, so keep going with the bootlegs and drive the prices up for everyone. You obviously don't care, anyone who can hate someone they've probably never even met. Well let's just say you have some majoy anger issues.

I recently lost my older brother Steve to lung cancer. My father told him when he was a child to take care of his little sister. And he never stopped, we couldn't have been closer had we been twins. He would have been 49 this month. My outlook on life now more than ever is, life is way to short don't sweat the small stuff. Laugh your way through life. If you don't feel you have anything to laugh about, pray to your God to provide you with something to laugh about. But more importantly have faith that he will provide you with all your needs. R.I.P.
