The big difference between Republicans and liberal Democrats is the way each party views people. Republicans see us as individuals and respect our God-given human dignity. To liberal Democrats, we're not individuals; we're members of a herd with all the dignity of a cow or pig dependent on its owner for daily rations of hay or slop. Democrats see us as being white or as blacks or as straights or as gays, or as lesbians or as heterosexuals, or as rich or poor, or as Christians or as Jews or as Muslims, or as young or as old, as working or as retired, or as housewives or as career women. They submerge us into pools that define us as members of groups instead of as what we are as God sees us-as any father sees his children-each being different from one another, and each child being a separate and distinct individual with his or her own specific talents and abilities, and all deserving of his love... This is what you seen in Cuba or any communist or dictatorial country. It's about power over the masses and as in Cuba, etc., people have no guns to protect themselves, poor education and live on the 'graces' of the government entitlements. I hope that's not where we're headed here but I don't see much that says we're not.

IMO the vast majority of the public are not hard line one side or the other. there are obviously extremist and those ppl are mentally ill

I think you're right Char...its all about 'power'. As long as the politicians can convince a large enough group of people that the best solutions are governmental ones they can have the power over them.

OMG you must be joking!!! Republicans seek to control everyone and everything, put everyone in their "boxes" of what they think of as reality, and hold contempt for anyone who doesn't believe what they do.

Liberal Democrats on the other hand value individualism, value differing points of view, respect all races, genders, sexual orientations, religions etc. They value a persons individual rights, and they seek to eliminate the kind of government that caters to itself rather than to the people it is supposed to serve.

Good luck in November Repubs- your going to need it!

I moved to Arizona from New Mexico in October of 2000.I have 2 grown sons. The oldest lives in Mesa and the youngest lives in Apache Junction.All of us have a myspace account as do my brother, sister, nieces, nephews from New Mexico. Computers are a great way to stay in touch. I believe in God, family and country.
