Spread the word..... This is something you should be aware of so you don't get blind-sided. This is really going to catch a lot of families off guard. It should make you worry. Proposed changes in taxes after 2008 General election:

CAPITAL GAINS TAX   MCCAIN 0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples) McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.   OBAMA 28% on profit from ALL home sales How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.

DIVIDEND TAX   MCCAIN 15% (no change)   OBAMA 39.6% How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama become president. The experts predict that 'higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.

INCOME TAX   MCCAIN (no changes) Single making 30K - tax $4,500 Single making 50K - tax $12,500 Single making 75K - tax $18,750 Married making 60K- tax $9,000 Married making 75K - tax $18,750 Married making 125K - tax $31,250   OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts) Single making 30K - tax $8,400 Single making 50K - tax $14,000 Single making 75K - tax $23,250 Married making 60K - tax $16,800 Married making 75K - tax $21,000 Married making 125K - tax $38,750 Under Obama your taxes will more than double! How does this affect you? No explanation needed. This is pretty straight forward.

INHERITANCE TAX   MCCAIN 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)   OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax How does this affect you? Many families have lost businesses, farms and ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will not only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES BEING PROPOSED BY OBAMA * New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet * New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) * New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) * New taxes on retirement accounts and last but not least.... * New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!! Be afraid. Be very afraid. The choice is ours to make.

Voodoodumb- If you can't just present them to me it means that you have something to hide. I'm actually working right now, and I don't have the time to do this and look all of that up. So why don't you just give me the sources and we'll call it a day?

People forget that Capital Gains taxes that Obama wants to increase.... a lot.... are taxes off Stock market gains thus reducing the incentive to invest there.

More like Herbert Hoover 2. And we all know how that turned out. Just look up "Progressive" along with U.S. politics and see what it means historically.

Obama refused to visit INJURED American troops, ( then LIED about it. TWICE. ) what makes anyone think he'll give a crap about regular Americans?

Obama can speak to citizens of OTHER countries, but not spend time with American troops. Nice.

Obama: You’re pathetic.

Another reason to dislike Obama. There are already so many, yet he keeps alienating the American people. What a dope, does he know that only American citizens can vote, not the foreigners he’s courting?

“Obama scraps visit to wounded US troops in Germany
1 day ago
BERLIN (AP) — Sen. Barack Obama scrapped plans to visit wounded members of the armed forces in Germany as part of his overseas trip”

“Barack Obama is wrong. It is never inappropriate to visit our men and women in the military," said Brian Rogers…

I agree.

Nicole, take a few minutes and read something besides your liberal hand book. Pelosi has been spouting these changes in taxes for weeks now. She believes the wealth should be shared with those who have not been so fortunate, like Illegal aliens and other poor folk. Sounds a little Marxist doesn't it?

The Democrats have been in control of congress for a couple of years and look at how bad the economy already is. Does anyone think it will get better with more of the Democrats in control? Pelosi needs those illegals to work in her wine vineyards. What idiots voted for that woman????

So you write some statistics and some extremely vague statements and then won't list your sources. Sounds very reliable indeed. Also the housing bubble began bursting in 05 when the Reps were still in control of congress. I should know my family bought a house right as the bubble was beginning to burst.

No Don it sounds a little socialist but it also sounds a little fair and me and Nicole think its a good idea that is why we are on the left side of the political spectrum if you did not notice. I could say everything you supported sounded a little fascist to but I don't do that because that is a logical fallacy called association. By doing minor wealth distribution you are moderate by doing extreme to the point of no wealth differences remaining you are being Marxist. Now are the Dems doing wealth distribution to anything more then raising taxes on a number of things? I thought not. While then their not Marxist no matter how much you want to associate them with it. Is this too hard to understand or should I go slower?

Where do the candidates stand on the PAYROLL tax - that's the one that impacts most Americans.

And yes, what are your sources?

For instance - your take on the ESTATE TAX (it's not called an "inheritance tax") impacts families leaving an estate over $2 Million. And the only reason the "ESTATE" tax (not really called the DEATH TAX) was even repealed was because of heavy lobbying efforts from the Gallo and Mars families - who stood to lose millions if the tax were still in place.

Your argument is weak man. Read this:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A48025-20
05Apr12.html

In 1992, when heirs to the Mars Inc. fortune joined a few other wealthy families to hire the law firm Patton Boggs LLP to lobby for estate tax repeal, the joke on K Street was that few Washington sightseers had paid so much for a fruitless tour of the Capitol.

Today, the House is expected to vote to permanently repeal the estate tax, moving the Mars candy, Gallo wine and Campbell soup fortunes one step closer to a goal that once seemed quixotic at best: ending all taxation on inheritances.

Ok VoodooDog- So this is a chain e-mail smear that's been debunked - do a better job of checking your sources next time. A chain mail from your best friend in the Toby Keith fanclub isn't a good source:

According to FactCheck.org, a nonpartisan, nonprofit voter advocate group,

“This widely distributed message is so full of misinformation that we find it impossible to believe that it is the result of simple ignorance or carelessness on the part of the writer. Almost nothing it says about Obama's tax proposals is true. We conclude that this deception is deliberate.” (emphasis added)

Obama Camp Response:

Barack Obama wants the tax code to favor honest, hard-working people, and he has proposed a $1,000 tax cut for middle class families.

But that hasn’t stopped anonymous smear-mongers from starting misleading rumors like this one.

You can see the entire email—and the point-by-point debunking—on the non-partisan, independent website FactCheck.org:

Of course it isn't Jay. tsk tsk voodoodog, how dare you post anything that even remotely negatively questions The Mighty Obamas plans or intentions? You should be jailed for such insolence! Why the very idea is preposterous!

What is this country coming to when Obama’s not adored and worshiped by every single citizen like he is by the media? It's sacrilege, that's what it is.

Next time voodoodog, you had better make sure that Jay Kumar, an unbiased, fair, and balanced Obama supporter who happens to works for FOX (as a news story researcher with credible sources for information, unlike anyone who doesn‘t absolutely adore The Mighty Obama ) approves of your post before you post it.

Such audacity shall no longer be tolerated.

wrong again Demboy the housing market was at its highest peak in 2005 things looked like their was no end to prosperity then along came countrywide in bed with the democrat congress in 2006 who like those liberal idiots came up with the idea of giving anyone regardless of their income or past a loan..the market became flooded there were more sellers then buyers and the market busted causing the fall out we still have today...and to this day their are lobbyist trying to say we need to give lower income people a loan as its the only way out of this mess..it has nothing to do with George Bush or his republican congress ..your parents got caught up in the frenzy like so many and got taken ..i have no sympathy of people who were looking to get rich quick ..they destroyed the economy ..your parents should have waited like I and many others did they could have not only saved hundreds of thousands but could have gotten the interest rates to go along with it..its all typical liberal thinking ..happy days are here again you cant build an economy on people who haven't the means to support it ..just a bunch of dreamers like Obama who has ties to countrywide...surprise surprise..Reagan said it best the best social program is a job
