Hillary Clinton will be offered a dignified exit from the presidential race and the prospect of a place in Barack Obama's cabinet under plans for a "negotiated surrender" of her White House ambitions being drawn up by Senator Obama's aides.

Senior figures in the Obama camp have told Democrat colleagues that the offer to Mrs Clinton of a cabinet post as health secretary or to steer new legislation through the Senate will be a central element of their peace overtures to the New York senator.

Informal talks have already begun between Obama and Clinton fundraisers to discuss a merger, enabling Mr Obama to pay off Mrs Clinton’s campaign debts of $11 million (£5.6 million).

Hillary in charge of healthcare reform? As I recall, that didn’t work out to well in 1992.

they are just doing whatever it takes to shut her up.......pay her off & stick her somewhere in the back where she won't be a problem.

it's the perfect fate for her........put her right where she failed to begin with & watch her sink.

it's a set up pure and simple to get her out of the way, out of the next presidential election & out of Obama's hair. they ALL know what the "clinton machine" is capable of & they are trying to stop it.

the ironic thing is that whether or not she accepts this (she probably will to pay off the debts) the "machine" will quietly continue to chew Obama every chance it gets.

remember, women like her don't get mad, they get even. lol

Let's face it - is anyone TRULY qualified to run a whole country?! That's why we have the Congress, Senate, etc.
truthguy - well, apparantly, McCain can't run a marriage either, as he cheated on his first wife with his second wife. So.. NOW who will you vote for?
