Why not use the tens of thousands of illegals that are locked up in federal and state prisons to build us a real good wall along the border?????? Is there some kinda moral or ethical issue here i am missing???? Why the heck not? It costs about $45,000 dollars a year (average) per prisoner, I say let them work it off on the WALL. I would rather not hear about some chickensh_t fence, a real wall 16 or 18 ft. high by 12 or 14 ft wide with towers at effective distances that can be driven to on top of the wall.

Hadriens wall  across Britain seemed to work fer the Romans, the great wall of China worked fer awhile ( I think the Mongols outflanked it).

Why not split up responsibilities---------Corp of Engineers design and supervise, the National Guard  of Ca, NM and TX pulling police duty on the illegals building it. Start simutaniously in all three states, and push them fellas hard, 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, slakers git the hole.

Be one hell of alot cheaper than say, having HALLIBURTON build it for us!

Shoot i dont think its a half bad idea. What do you folks think???

do you really think a wall is gonna stop anyone??? i mean there are things called ladders, or they can use a rope to go up and over. i mean your talking about abunch of guys that have traveled 100's of miles through jungles, rivers, streams, violent areas where they could get mugged and raped, and you think a simple wall is gonna stop them. it's not like they are gonna travel all that way and be like "they never told me there was gonna be a wall. lets head back home". c'mon or government gotta think of something a lil bit smarter then that. besides they have underground tunnels to go underneath these walls too. but if you want this wall put up, maybe you should go out and start making it.

Why???? when we can have one fer cheap from prison labor, Whats yer bright idea, do you even have or are trying to come up with one????? If you had read carefully, there is a road ontop and border patrol can drive up and take out or have mounted on there humvee a machine gun ????? I dont see no more problem??? The FRICKIN BERLIN WALL WORKED PRETTY FRICKIN GOOD FOR QUITE SOME TIME. There are also whats called remote listning posts, that pick up human and large animal movement by vibration, And what of cameras???
C-mon folks, use yer frickin noodles, or are they so soaked in wine and pot, the brain cells are tripping over each other???? Samo714, perhaps try joining the 21 century here and exercise that zit on top of yer head???????????
I dont give a crap how frickin far they traveled, somebody gives me a warning burst from a machine gun, piss on it, we'er headed south, east or west, but the frak away from certain death.
No mas Illegal Immagrants............Douyuh tink yogi?

stan,

When looters riot in a city, Governors with any integrity, give the order to shoot to kill to stop the looting. Is that's what's necessary here?? That WALL you talk about WILL work and they kknow it!!

Berlin wall worked just fine, will work just fine in this situation.
As long as needle Dick Cheney and his partners get in on the action, could cost us a trillion dollars and ten years.

first thing, you can't have machine guns on this so call wall. why? because i doubt that our government is really going to allow any one from the military to shoot a unarmed man with that type of weapon. you have to think realistically. once america starts shooting down one too many mexicans, they might start a whole new war with a country right next door to us. i doubt that the us want's to start a fight with anyone else.

second thing is that the berlin was was made on top of stone streets. so the stone streets is pretty hard to dig in. not everyone is able to dig through that. this wall your gonna build is on pure dirt and sand which is easy to dig.

another thing is that the berlin wall didnt work, that's why it doesn't exist anymore.
i'm not saying that it's ok for illegals to come into our country, all i'm saying is that building a wall isn't a full proof solution. there has to be more to it then just build a wall. plus cheap labor helps bring the cost down, but still the government is still gonna have to hire a bunch trained professionals to build this wall, and then all the materials to build it. that's more money out of my wallet. plus your really willing to let a bunch of crazed lunitics out of jail to build this wall. do you know how hard it's gonna be to keep track of all of those men? i'm using my brain, why don't you start doing the same stan.

They do make rubber bullets ya know????? the Berlin wall worked for quite a few years, the one proposed for the Mexican border would work long enough, say 15 to 20 years. A team of say 2 architects, about three or four eniguineer's(back grounds in retaining walls or dam's). Twenty or thirty Journeyman brick layers is all thats needed. All the able bodied prisoners from state and federal prisons as labor, the national guard from the states of California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas for guarding the prisoners (house them in tents and feed them commodities from the government stores).
You start simultaniously from all the states with borders on Mexico, going in both directions simultaniously at each location designated as a start point in each state. The journeyman brick layers oversee the quality control for the prisoners. We then as the wall is completed, dump all of them on the Mexican side as an incentive to git the work done!
Tghis is a very simple and doable project. A run of brick wall 16ft. tallon both sides of a 12ft space which is back filled with earth and topped with DG (desinagrated granite), two feet from top. Then a 3 inch topping of pavement for road.
THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE, the wall does not even have to be all the way across the border, build in the highest areas of traffic traveling out to areas where is to dangerous and difficult for illegals go to cross border (like large expanses of desert with no roads closer than 50 or 60 miles from border on Mexican side.
SOOOOOOOOOO samo, whats yer solution, some chickesh-it fence? That they hop, cut or kn

We are able to completely draw up working plans, assemble the proffesionals needed and the amount of people needed from brick layers to prisoners needed to git job done. Logistics, where to get the backfill, concrete. Paving contractors, how much earth moving equipment and for how long. Can even use alot less prisoners, use the ones that are not in for violent crimes (easier to handle) and offer them the same, you git yer walking papers heading south at completion of wall.
Like I said, this aint rocket science.

Also on the security side, there exists right now the tecnology for listning to every vibration above and below ground. Rapid response and containment is the key. You see, with a wall, the option to use existing and or less personel exists with a wall. The physical universe dont lie, Hurracane fencing aint workin fer sh_t! With a wall, you will have WAY LESS ILLEGALS TRAMPLING OVER THE BORDER! It aint fool proof, but it will drop the numbers of illegals crossing into the U.S. way the h_ell down. To say maybe a few thousand, as opposed to 100,000 or more a year.
What is My fellow citizens solutions???? Folks are complaining about it, But i see little in the way of solutions bein put foward?????????????????????????????

Are you crazy? you know Bush wants a unified Americas. I say the first step is to make sure he doesn't have the power to over rule "We the People's" voice. Then we start building the wall. If we need more workers, round up more illegals from ICE. They seem to know where they are. They just don't keep them. Seems like fishing. CATCH AND RELEASE? Have you been keeping up the turmoil? Keeping people talking? Good Blog brother. Gotta go check in in a couple more days. Up to 16 hr days now. Probably for the next two months.
