I have decided that July is not my favorite month, by a long shot.  I have to run around  to get my son registared for school, and by school supplies, which is another story all to its self. Going to the store is crazy! I can never find the certain notebook they want him to have. People just butting in front of you tryin to grab the last box of crayons. And the glue sticks..what ever happened to the bottle of Elmers glue, its like thats not good enough, we need a glue stick. My sons Kindergarten list was twice as long as his 1st grade list is this year. You would think they would need more as they learn. I am loving the no tax thing though..thats great!

My next issue in July is...registering my car...lol...Cant we push that up to 5 yrs..instead of the 2. This is the last year I have to get Emissions, WOO HOO..Im so excited and for the ones that have to have it done still, atleast you can get it and the inspection at the same place..thats great! I never have any problems with emissions, but inspection is diff. Seems like its always something. This year, I was missing a lugnut on my wheel. What I wanna know is...who in the heck took it!?! That was $5..for a lugnut, and HAD to be put on b4 they would pass it....OMG..can you give a girl a break!! Suprisinly, the DOR wasnt busy and when I walked out the door with my stickers...I jumped up and said...YAY, Im done!! Untill 2009.

Shannon, hubby is more than ecstatic of the emissions thing going back to like it used to be. Especially since he is into old cars.

School shopping OMG! Hayley is in 4th and Miss Rayna starts K...... I thought it was hard years before. I now have to get for Rayna and the clothes shopping thing is nOT workin this child is the most pickiest kid ever.....

I hope I survive this school shoppin and you too.......... LOL!!!!

Yes, lil..I agree with clothes shopping. My son is 6 and is just now getting picky about what he wears.

I couldn't agree more about the back to school shopping...
My daughter is starting 3rd grade and the list of school supplies is a mile long. Also, it is so specific--exact brand of pencil, crayon, glue, anti-bacterial wipes....SHEESH!

BTW, what ever happened to Trapper-Keepers? Do you remember those? They were soooo cool! Do they still make those?

Yes Superjaybird. What I hate the most is the fact that My girls have to have one of each.
Kleenex,wipes,and that hand sanitizer.... Not too mention that this is the list for school. Once open house hits the teachers will request certain things at that time as well means last min shopping for me every single year.
Hayley's list even says LMAO.... 3 bags of individually wrapped candy???? Yeah I know....

Superjay....yes, they still have trapper keepers..you just have to get there b4 all the madness...lol. They specified...NO Trapper Keepers on my sons list. Not sure why.

Lil...You are so right..they add on thing as the year goes by as well as when you go to Open House. The snack list is funny. Its a snack..why do I need a list?

Shan I feel for ya girl. My month is August. School supplies, shoes, car has to be inspected and all that fun stuff. The one thing I don't have to deal with is buying her certain clothes! We went to the uniform shop a few weeks ago and that is done and over with. I love having her wear a uniform to school. Funny that you said something about the list being shorter cause Nik and I just noticed that the other day. Only 15 more days and mine is back in school!

That darned lugnut!!

For me last month it was a gas cap....apparently mine was made with inferior quality, and I had to leave emissions, go the the auto parts store, then drive it back. What a pain!! They have to be in cahoots with the auto parts store....I bet the emissions people stole your lugnut and got a kickback from the auto parts!! Ya think??? HA!

It is worse then Christmas.That is why uniforms are good for us but kids hate them.Thank god we don't have emissions down here.I don't have to deal with that any more but my kids do.And they are all teenagers they are buying for.Poor pocketbook.

Shannon...yeah, how 'bout tennis tomorrow? We can give Mr._Wild a run for his money (especially since he'll be not quite up-to-par from dental surgery today!)....since he's the tennis pro, you and I can be on one side against him. He'll be running all over that court!!

I remember many many years of school supplies for my three. You could wrap the receipt around you three times we were required to buy so much stuff, but never fear, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the older they get the less they need for school. Only about 10 Five Star notebooks for mine now

Shan, my kids start Aug 15th but we register them up till Aug 2, which I will wait till the last day. Hey, that's 2morrow. Omg, I better start filling out the papers. Dang, it flies so fast. I know what you mean though.. WIsh me luck.

I never took my son with me to buy clothes or school supplies. He got what I bought and he wore it or went naked. Back in his day it was all about designer clothes. Well I never felt that I should pay to have somes name on my butt, unless it was mine. So he never got it. As he got older and started buying his own things he got the point. Now what in gods name is the teacher going to do with 90 bags of candy? Half of the kids are ADHD they don't need that crap. ok i'm done griping. btw Hiiiiiii Shannon long time no blog!

WOO HOO July is over just 5 more days and I will be filling up with ice cream cake MMMMMMM.
We will be eaing at Catfish Kettle because that is wear I said I like to eat..But now I think i just want to eat at home,because last week i fell at Ryans and I kinda not want to eat out no more....

I have lived in St. Charles/ St. Peters ALL my life...WOOHOO. The love of my life is my 5yr old son..he's the BEST!!! I am a faithfull FOX2 watcher and LOVE the snow. I just want enough snow to be snowed in for a couple days, that would be sweet! So you weather boys, let your girl know when Im gonna get it...I'll be waiting. Im also a Bloggette and an STLMOM...you'll soon see what that is!!!!!
