I know I'm not the only one...

Who's stopped watching the news. I've gotten tired of feeling depressed and worried about how my household has been affected and how to survive during these difficult times. I used to be considered middle class, now I am as poor as everyone else. I work two jobs and have for several years while my husband works for a decent wage. I use financial software to track everything incoming and going out and it sickens me to look at a report of what we spent on food and bills and gas last year and compare it to this year. I know I'm not the only one going to the store to buy the basics... milk, bread, cereal and eggs. I used to take pride in making dinner and sitting down with my family to eat everyday... now it's depressing scrapping through the cupboards for just anything to eat. Can't afford grocery's and digging to find $3 a day for lunch money per kid. I only hope they are getting a decent healthy meal at school because I know they're not getting it at home. The sad thing is that the money we make today is about the same as we made last year but yet we are barely surviving. We the people need healthcare to pay for all the anti-depressents we need. And for those who none of this is affecting... it WILL affect you too, just wait. At this point, I sometimes think that it doesn't even matter who you vote for... this country and our elected have gotten us here and they all talk a good talk. Do I really think some person is going to step in and "save" us? NO, I don't. The rich get richer and the rest of us fall into poverty. It seems to me that the only president who's really cared about this country was Reagan... but we didn't appreciate him at the time. So those who feel alone, just know you are not and the rest of us are feeling it right along with you.

WHY I AM  VOTING DEMOCRAT

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good  people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who CAN'T tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some  fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that open borders and government give-aways to foreigners is a great way to grow a nation.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my localA 0 police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want.  I've decided to marry my horse.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil  companies' profits of 7% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I'm voting Democrat because my head is so filled with dreams and illusions it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

Phil has handled a number of significant cases throughout his legal career.

Phil Berg was highly involved in challenging the 2000 presidential election, spending three intense weeks in Florida investigating voting irregularities. He had formally demanded the voluntary disbarment of three Supreme Court Justices (December 12, 2001 letter) due to their conflict of interests in that decision. He was in the process of filing formal legal complaints when September 11th happened and ended that efffort.

Phil Berg has been very active in the community
Political: A candidate for U.S. Senate in 2000, for Governor of Pennsylvania in 1990 and 1998 and
Lt. Governor in 1994; State Committeeperson, eight years; and Committeeperson for thirty one years

1967 and 1970.

Phil fought successfully (pro bono) on appeal for the rights of a woman who was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct and fined $171 by arguing that she had a Constitutionally protected right of Freedom of Speech, a case that received world-wide and national attention.

Phil Berg takes special pride in having represented his son, Ian, now 27, who, at age 16, filed as a candidate for District Justice in Pennsylvania. A Court challenge was filed claiming he was violating child labor laws and he was precluded from being on the ballot until Phil took the case to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania that granted his son the right to be on the ballot.

Phil represented PAWS (Performing Animal Welfare Society) located in Galt, California, 1994 to 1997 (pro bono) in a fight to protect the rights of elephants. Phil filed suit on 8/1/95 against the Federal Government (USDA) to protect circus elephants because of the constant abuse that occurs to elephants. Case was highlighted on 20/20 and Inside America's Courts.

In March 1997 Phil was successful in his "pro bono" effort for 19-year-old Adrienne Buckwalter, the youngest member of the Spring-Ford School Board, whose nominating petitions for election as School Director were challenged.

For those of you who don't know... Mr. Berg is the man who's filed a lawsuit stating that Obama is NOT a US Citizen! Uneducated? HARDLY NOT!

Times-Herald: Born in the U.S.A.? Monday, 25 August 2008 16:45 administrator By: KEITH PHUCAS, Times Herald Staff - 08/25/2008

PHILADELPHIA - A Lafayette Hill attorney filed a lawsuit in federal court Thursday challenging Sen. Barack Obama's claim to United States citizenship. The action seeks to remove the Democratic candidate from the November ballot.
To be eligible to serve as U.S. president, a person must be born in this country. According to Obama's birth certificate, which his campaign posted on its Internet site in June to quell rumors that he is foreign born, the Illinois senator was born in Hawaii on Aug. 6, 1961.
On Thursday, Philip Berg filed a temporary restraining order in federal court to bar Obama from running for president, claiming the Democratic candidate was actually born in Africa.
"We really don't believe he was born in Hawaii," Berg said. "We think he was born in Kenya."
The presidential candidate's father, Barack Obama Sr., was born and raised in a small village in Kenya, according to Obama's campaign Web site.
Berg's suit claims the senator's grandmother, brother and sister, who live in Kenya, believe they were present during Obama's birth in the African country.
Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, grew up in Kansas, and his parents met at the University of Hawaii when Dunham was a student there, according to the Obama campaign.
Eventually, Obama's father returned to Kenya, and his son grew up in Hawaii with his mother and for a few years in Indonesia after Dunham married an Indonesian man, Lolo Soetoro. Also, Obama lived with his maternal grandparents in Hawaii.
"If he was born in Hawaii, and he was adopted in Indonesia by Lolo Soetoro, (Obama) would lose his citizenship," Berg said.

Danielle Bologna, wife and mother of 3 victims who were murdered in cold blood at the hands of an illegal alien in San Francisco. The Minuteman Project has denounced sanctuary cities citing that they protect  law breakers while exposing citizens to violence.

Our citizens are paying the price because San Francisco gave aid and comfort to the enemy. The suspect is an illegal alien gang banger who should have been deported years ago. He was protected by San Francisco's sanctuary city policy and the false belief that "he came here just to work!"

San Francisco's Mayor Gavin Newsom has his hands stained with the blood of our beloved citizens. Did the Mayor call and offer any condolences? NO, but protection offered to illegal aliens still stands.

Minuteman Project's Response to the Murders In San Francisco

Minuteman Project's Response to the Murders In San Francisco.

The Minuteman Project offers our deepest condolences to Danielle Bologna. The loss of her husband and two sons ages 20 and 16 at the hands of an illegal alien is reprehensible.

The Minuteman Project is sending a clear message to Mayor Newsom:

"You reap what you sow." However in this case, Danielle Bologna has reaped what you, Mayor Newsom, and the city supervisors have sown.

The failed sanctuary policy in San Francisco has endangered not only the lives of good citizens but has diverted San Francisco onto a dangerous path. A path that places families into harms way.

The death of three innocent victims is a sign of deeper trouble. Since 1989, when San Francisco embraced a sanctuary city policy, it has been constantly signaling the world, screaming forth the message that this is the place to reside if one is an international law breaker. Some 19 years later those that came here illegally have grown bold knowing they are above the law and can act with careless disregard toward citizens of our great nation.

Mayor Newsom and those that choose to endorse his policy of blatant disregard for immigration law have a new challenge. How is Mayor Newsom going to put the genie back into the bottle? How can 19 years of sanctuary city policies be reversed?

With over 19 years of illegal alien build up, the city will be hard pressed to regain control over a growing criminal element that lies in the shadows. According to a recent study by Congressman Steve King of Iowa, 25 citizens lose their lives to illegal aliens everyday who are driving while drunk to those who commit homicide. When there is a high concentration of illegal aliens the probability is that the area will exceed the national average, as demonstrated in San Francisco.

Is San Francisco going to wake up and demand justice and protection? Newsom and his left-wing city supervisor's cadre have endangered good citizens living in his jurisdiction, furthermore by his action; he has set the deadly pace for other cities to follow.

It is painfully obvious that Newsom is two faced. On one hand he welcomes federal funds for his streets and on the other hand refuses to protect the citizens that travel those streets.

How can any city knowingly throw out the welcome mat to individuals that enter into America illegally and stay here illegally?

Newsom has decided that he will supersede federal law and waive the necessary standard to enter into our beloved country. According to sanctuary city policies medical examinations of those individuals wishing to enter into America to detect deadly diseases are waived, criminal background checks are waived, sponsors for employment are waived and a Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America is also waived. Those qualifications are for good immigrants that come here legally and deserve to immigrate here legally. Newsom's menagerie is above the law; according to him there are no qualifications necessary to become a citizen of the United States.

Mayor Newsom with his open door sanctuary city policy has created a form of pseudo-citizenship "all the benefits without the responsibility". Mayor Newsom hides behind the charade of: "it is a federal issue" all the while receiving federal funding, the convenient excuse of "they only come here to work" wears thin in the face of a triple murder.

Victims like the family of Danielle Bologna are becoming an American recurring tragedy. Her life has been destroyed and her beloved family has been murdered. She will never see her sons grow up and she can not grow old with her husband because of an "open door sanctuary policy" that set the stage for the murder of her loved ones.

An open door policy is nothing less than a welcome sign saying; "Give me your illegal aliens, your murderers, pedophiles, your diseased and we will welcome them as family." Mayor Newsom, what were you thinking? All the back peddling and reversal will never wash the blood stains from your hands.

The Minuteman Project demands the immediate resignation of Mayor Newsom.

Will Mayor Newsom do the honorable thing or will he say; "it was just an isolated action of a single criminal" However the Minuteman Project is sure he and his supervisors will be saying; Oh by the way is our federal check ready yet?

Minuteman Steve

Mexican Army Members Raid Phoenix Home & Shoot Man Dead

According to a police report, 25-year-old Manual Garcia-Trejo, Daniel Garcia-Saenz, 24, and Rodolfo Madrigal Lopez, 19 each face a charge of 1st degree murder in Williams' death. (ABC 15)
Image
Police reports show that the 3 men are (were?)Mexican army members.
Here is one of the police documents via KFYI on the murder in Phoenix Monday:
Image
The police memo reads:

"Information from one of the suspects on McDowell indicated all the suspects are Mexican military coming into the United States with full tactical gear and police raid shirts to conduct home invasions. According to the same suspect, they were planning on ambushing the officers following them but didn't only because they didn't have any ammunition left. Homicide responded and took dispo. BE CAREFUL!"
There were rumors about this incident earlier in the week.
Now, it is being reported that Mexican army members broke into a home in Phoenix, Arizona and shot a man dead.
KFYI and Drudge reported:

The suspects may have been hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and assassinations in the U.S.

Police reports show that three men arrested in a Phoenix home invasion and homicide Monday may have been active members of the Mexican Army.

While on the J.D. Hayworth show, Phoenix Law Enforcement Association President Mark Spencer said that the men involved were hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and assassinations.

The Monday morning incident at 8329 W. Cypress St. resulted in the death of the homeowner. Between 50 and 100 rounds were fired at the house.

Spencer said a police officer told him that one of the men captured said they were completely prepared to ambush Phoenix police, but ran out of ammunition.

He added that all were all dressed in military tactical gear and were armed with AR-15 assault rifles. Three other men involved in the invasion escaped.
Police say there was evidence that marijuana was being sold from the home.

Do you suppose the Left will raise holy hell over these army trained mercenaries?
...Me neither.

UPDATE: There was another incident in Phoenx on Thursday. Men wearing police uniforms broke into another home and pistol whipped two "coyotes."

*An Atheist in the Woods *

An atheist was taking a walk through the woods. "What majestic trees! What powerful rivers! What beautiful animals!" he said to himself.

As he continued walking alongside the river he heard a rustling in the bushes. Turning to look, he saw a 7 foot grizzly charging towards him.

He ran as fast as he could up the path. Looking over his shoulder he saw that the bear was closing in on him. His heart was pumping frantically and he tried to run even faster. He tripped and fell on the ground. He rolled over to pick himself up but saw the bear raising his paw to take a swipe at him.

At that instant the Atheist cried out: "Oh my God!..."

Time stopped. The bear froze. The forest was silent. It was then that a bright light shone upon the man and a voice came out of the sky saying,

"You deny my existence for all of these years, teach others that I don't exist and even credit creation to a cosmic accident. Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer?"

The atheist looked directly into the light, "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now, but perhaps, could you make the BEAR a Christian?"

"Very well," said the voice. The light went out. And the sounds of the forest resumed.

The bear lowered his paw, bowed his head and spoke,

"Lord, bless this food which I am about to receive and for which I am truly thankful."

Illegal Aliens and Social Security Numbers
Source: NCIR Newsletter

Illegal aliens and Social Security

I totally agree with Anthony Ramirez, illegal aliens cause problems for others when they steal others social security number.

As I worked for the Food Stamp program two years ago, I was amazed at the number of illegal aliens who came to apply for Food Stamps and had Social Security numbers.

One woman stood out, because she wound up having three social security numbers. We would not have questioned her at all, but the first number she gave was a real social security that belonged to a 16 year old disabled kid on SSI. She was 42, with 6 kids. When I questioned her about it, she admitted she had bought it to try and find work.

Eventually the kid and his family would be in trouble because the Feds would start deducting the money from his SSI check and he might loss his benefits altogether or have to pay it back. When brought to her attention, she did not care.

The second one was a made up one on a card that I turned every which way and looked just as good as the first one. The 3rd was an ITIN number that illegal aliens use to do their taxes or get tax money back. I learned they were using the ITIN numbers to open bank accounts and buy houses.

It worried me back then, because I wondered where were the people who were supposed to be the checks and balances in the mortgage industry. How could they sell homes to 5 to 6 families with no real ID, no pay stubs, no receipts, an ITIN number and their signature? Plus they had 9 to 10 renters.

The budgets were next to impossible to figure out, so a lot of the eligibility techs would put down that the Illegals were renters. In that way all they needed was a signed piece of paper saying they paid rent and how much they paid. As we now know, lack of ethics and morals has destroyed the Sub prime mortgage industry.

At the moment more then 50 percent of all welfare and food stamp benefits in Orange County are going directly to children of illegal aliens. The California Legislators have enacted laws to enslave Californians into taking care of illegal aliens and their needs while we make Americans and Legal Immigrants go to work under the CAL-WORKS program.

Illegal aliens don’t have to go to work, because it is against Federal Law for illegal aliens to work. So just like my mother-in-law received welfare for close to 25 years, Illegal Alien mothers who sometimes have children 10 to 15 years apart, can and do stay on welfare, food stamps and other social programs 25 to 30 years living off Californians. In my opinion this is a huge social cost.

U.S. gives final OK to 'virtual fence' on Arizona border
By EILEEN SULLIVAN
Associated Press

WASHINGTON — A 28-mile "virtual fence" that will use radars and surveillance cameras to try to catch people entering the country illegally has gotten final government approval.
Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced approval of the fence today. The fence, built by the Boeing Co., uses technology the government plans to extend to other areas of the Arizona border, as well as to sections of Texas. The projects could get under way as early as this summer, said department spokeswoman Laura Keehner.

The virtual fence is part of a national plan to secure the Southwest border with physical barriers and high-tech detection capabilities intended to stop illegal immigrants on foot and drug smugglers in vehicles. As of Thursday, 302 miles of fencing had been constructed.

Chertoff said the virtual fence already is working.
On Feb. 13, an officer in a Tucson command center — 70 miles from the border — noticed a group of about 100 people gathered at the border. The officer notified agents on the ground and in the air. Border Patrol caught 38 of the 100 people who tried to cross illegally, and the others went back into Mexico, said a Homeland Security official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he isn't authorized to speak publicly.

The virtual fence system includes 98-foot unmanned surveillance towers that are equipped with an array of sophisticated technology including radar, sensors and cameras capable of distinguishing people from cattle at a distance of about 10 miles. The cameras are powerful enough to tell group sizes and whether people are carrying backpacks that may contain weapons or drugs.

"I have personally witnessed the value of this system, and I have spoken directly to the Border Patrol agents who are involved in operating that system over the last few months and who have seen it produce actual results in terms of identifying and allowing the apprehension of people who are illegally smuggling across the border," Chertoff said.

Last year the government withheld some of Boeing's payments for the system because technology the company used in the test project did not work properly. Boeing also was late in delivering the final product, known as Project 28. Because of this, the department received a $2 million credit from the company to go toward maintenance and logistical support of the system, the Homeland Security officials said.

The government paid Boeing $15 million of its initial $20 million contract before determining that there were glitches in the test project. The department gave a conditional acceptance in December.
Lawmakers have been skeptical of the product Boeing delivered.

"This is not the end of the Project 28 story," Rep. Christopher Carney, D-Pa., said in a statement Thursday. "We need to understand what went wrong with Project 28 to ensure that the mistakes of the past are not repeated and taxpayer dollars are not squandered." Carney is chairman of the House Homeland Security management subcommittee.

NOW WE'RE GETTING SOMEWHERE!

Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if they aren't prepared for the answer.

In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, 'Mrs. Jones, do you know me?' She responded, 'Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you'll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you.'

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, 'Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?'

She again replied, 'Why yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of t hem was your wife. Yes, I know him.'

 The defense attorney nearly died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice, said,
'If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you both to the electric chair.'

Last year, the Oklahoma Legislature passed a law that:

o Restricts illegal immigrants' access to driver's licenses and ID cards.

o Cuts off several forms of public assistance for illegal
immigrants. Emergency medical care, disaster aid and certain
immunizations are exempted.

o Makes it harder for illegal immigrants to pay in-state
college tuition.

o Encourages state and local law enforcement to enforce federal
immigration law.

o Makes it a felony to harbor, transport, conceal or shelter
illegal immigrants.

o Requires state and local governments to use a federal
database that allows them to check potential employees' work
eligibility.

o Starting this summer, private employers and government
contractors will have to verify employment eligibility of all
new hires. Employers who don't could be sued.

This year, Oklahoma lawmakers are considering bills that would:

o Designate English as the state's official language.

o Let law enforcement seize the property of those who
transport, hire or rent to illegal immigrants.

o Make public schools report how many illegal-immigrant
children are enrolled.

Passengers aboard one of Mexico City's new women-only buses. Enlarge image  By Gregory Bull, AP Passengers aboard one of Mexico City's new women-only buses. MEXICO CITY (AP) — Groping and verbal harassment is an exasperating reality for women using public transportation in this sprawling capital, where 22 million passengers cram onto subways and buses each day. Some men treat women so badly that the subway system has long had ladies-only cars during rush hour, with police segregating the sexes on the platforms.

But that hasn't helped women forced to rely on packed buses, by far the city's most-used form of public transportation — until this week.

Acting on complaints from women's groups, the city rolled out "ladies only" buses, complete with pink signs in the windshields to wave off the men.

As word spreads about the buses, the women seem delighted, while some men forced to wait a few minutes longer have shown their anger. Still others have stumbled on board despite the signs, much to their embarrassment.

On Thursday, passengers on one of the female-only buses spent most of their trip down the capital's tree-lined Reforma Avenue chatting or putting on makeup, instead of fighting off unwanted male attention.
