i have a lil client here in hermann who resently went to china for a procedure to correct his vision.. braden is legaly blind.. he will be there for a month... i think john auble did a story on it, hope he will talk to braden when he returns on the 25th... our local news paper has a story on him tonite and braden is doing well...but i gotta tell ya about this lil guy.. when he was younger, about 2 ish i guess this lil guy knew all the country singers by their voice, and would tell ya who was singing a song. i was shocked that he was so smart.. but i guess his ears, hearing, were sharper because he lacked sight... and he would know when the kids at his daycares birthdays were.. he could tell me the kids names and their b days including the years they were born...the last haircut braden got was the saturday before he left for china, and we talked about things from 6 and 7 years ago, and he could remember certin conversations from back then... he also takes a joke really well, and he can really dish them out.. he is such a well rounded lil guy..i cant wait to see what he will accomplish with sight...God love um...cant wait to see him in a few weeks...

Photobucket here is a picture of braden in china at the hospital with his dad, brad. his father has had soul custody of him since he was born.. and the two are inseperateable. braden has a sister too, i think she is a round 21 ish, and her and brads mother were in china with them for a couple weeks..

A marine was arrested at Camp Lejeune Sunday afternoon, shortly after the charred remains of his estranged wife, Army nurse Holley Wimunc, were discovered in a brush fire on the outskirts of the North Carolina base.
Cpl. John Wimunc is arrested after police find the body of his missing wife.

Cpl. John Patrick Wimunc, 23, and codefendant Kyle Ryan Alden, 22, both marines stationed at Camp Lejeune, were arrested around 4:30 p.m. Sunday and charged with arson for a fire that burned through Lt. Holley Wimunc's Fayetteville apartment on Thursday, the day she went missing.

Police have yet to confirm publicly that the body found near Camp Lejeune, some 130 miles from Fayetteville, belonged to the nurse, but investigators have "strong suspicions" it is her. The two men have not been connected to the brush fire where the body was discovered.

Holley Wimunc's father released a statement this morning saying police told him that his daughter's remains had been found.

"It is with profound sadness that our family just received the news from authorities that our beloved daughter Holley is dead," Jesse James, of Dubuque, Iowa, said in the statement.

just heard the news and andy banker had a segment that union, mo was the first around to have a emergency alert system ... omg hermanns had that for some month now... and its annoying to get a call in the middle of the night with a recording telling you that there are severe storms in the county, especially when it dosent even rain... its scary cause we think that there is a death in our family and thats why we get calls at 2 am, 3 am, etc.. .. it might save lives, some day, but in the last few month it has woke the town of hermann, and the whole county of gasconade, numberous times in the wee hours of the morning for basicly nothing. i also heard that union could sign up for the service... i dont think we have a choice, we get it whether we want it or not.

Thomas Beatie, the transgendered man who rose to national attention when he became pregnant, gave birth June 29 to a girl, People magazine and ABC News reported. He and his daughter are doing well, he told People.

Beatie grew up in Hawaii as a girl but later legally changed to a male identity, took hormone shots and had his breasts surgically removed, but kept his female reproductive organs.

i am still confused to why this is so amazing, its a woman for petes sake...

Shawn Lindsey joined FOX 2 as an anchor/reporter in April 2006. She reports live for the FOX 2 morning news during the week, files reports for FOX 2 News at 5, and anchors FOX 2 News Saturday and Sunday morning. Shawn is an award-winning journalist with more than 10 years experience in the broadcast industry. Prior to joining FOX 2, Shawn spent more than 5 years as the primary co-anchor at KJTV FOX 34 in Lubbock, Texas. Shawn began her tenure in West Texas as a sports anchor and reporter. She became primary news anchor and health reporter in August 2001. Shawn won Texas Associated Press awards in the category of "Best Anchor" in 2004 and 2005, and was honored with a Texas Media Award for her health reporting in 2005. Shawn launched her on-air career at an early age, reporting and anchoring for Channel One News in Los Angeles in 1996. Channel One News is a 12-minute news program broadcast to more than 12 million high school and middle school students nationwide. During her time at Channel One, Shawn traveled the country reporting on events such as the ValuJet plane crash in the Everglades. Lindsey also freelanced as a stage manager/sideline assistant for ABC Sports network for several years, which allowed her to work a number of exciting sporting events including the Indy 500, PGA, and even the St. Louis Rams Super Bowl win in 2000! Shawn grew up water skiing and “tubing” the rivers in the Central Texas town of New Braunfels, and graduated with honors from Texas A&M University (Gig 'Em!). She is excited to make her home in St. Louis, a city she has frequented over the years, visiting friends and family. In her spare time, Shawn (an admitted football fanatic) cheers on all of the St. Louis professional sports teams, and enjoys traveling to new places. She also has a beloved Boston Terrier named Fenway (yes, after Fenway Park, the dog is a BOSTON afterall). Shawn says she’ll consider naming her next dog “Busch”, “Edward Jones”, or “Savvis”, she won’t, however, get used to Provel on her pizza anytime soon.
