everyone says that we need more law enforcement presence in orlando because of crime. this said ,however. on my way to work this morning I passed the substation on primrose, and 4 squad cars were in the lot. traveling to 50 I turned right, and passing steak&shake there were 3 more cars parked in the lot there. no flashing lights no crowds. that's 7 vehicles not patrolling int he colonialtown area at a time when the clubs are letting out. why do we need more cops? when the ones we have seem to have plenty of spare time on their hands!

for years we've been taxed and told to tighten our belts. now the feds and state have given us some relief, the local polticos are saying , we can't do this on our budget, we don't have enough money coming in! tough, we've had to scrimp and scrounge to make ends meet,on our limited budgets! you can do the same, instead of wasting money on YOUR pet projects, get out there and make what you have work for you! BUT NO! you whine and moan about everything, saying we have to raise fees for this and that, like you already don't do that! you charge us if we have an accident in your city, if we aren't a resident. you want extra fees for ambulance service, even if we don't want it! you build sidewalks no-one will use, in out-of-the- way places! you scam us on E-Pass & Sun-Pass, and call it a glitch in the system! GIVE IT UP! do the job you're being overpaid to do, OR GET OUT! we have enough problems with rising prices, without your annoying whining!

well, we've just had another example of our fine young people at wet&wild yesterday. busloads of students came from south florida to spring bling at wet&wild. it gives me a thrill to know these youths are our future. after getting here they started fights, and when ejected from the park, continued in the parking lot, accompanied by gunfire. this is an example of bringing south florida culture to orlando. please visit us, but leave your violence at home! we have enough of our own, THANK YOU!

Budget crunch my butt! I say let the public put up for vote, a wage freeze on salaried govt. employees. local, county and state. with elections coming up, you know the first thing on their agenda will be a pay hike for themselves! we can't vote a pay hike for ourselves, why should they. when they applied for the job, they knew what it paid. and should be satisfied with that, plus what they earn from their other businesses.I keep hearing them whining about how we will have budget shortfalls because of amendment one. but they still refuse to limit their fat porkbarrel projects. instead trying to squeeze more money out of us. we can't fill OUR vehicles at the govt. gas pumps, we pay higher prices for gas, food, airfare, etc. but can't vote an increase in our pay to keep up with rising prices! why should the politicians? yet they do it every time they get into office! NO MORE!!! let us vote on pay hikes for politicos! NOT them!

The tax amendment is coming up for a vote jan 29. the fat cats in office in various counties are trying to sway you to vote no by saying services will be affected if it passes. truth to be told services will be affected, but only because these same politicians are wasting your money on pork barrel projects, per example pamphlets to warn you of possible service cuts if the amendment passes,$30,000 tax dollars were used for this scare tactic. $50,000 tax dollars for weed control on a semi-private lake,(one where the general public can't access for their boats) the list goes on. the city and county governments refuse to tighten their belts, and frivolusly waste our hard earned money, yet they can always find room for spending on their favorite projects instead of providing the services that we deserve. remember this at election time, do NOT re-elect those who continue to pick your pockets, while lining theirs! they are the ones against the property tax amendment. because it would give them less money to spend on themselves!

Yes, the grinning baboon strikes again! now the (senator)? has tried to go through a police barrier, and complained when he was stopped that he would have the officers job! AS IF!! we wouldn't be that lucky,(he wouldn't last ten minutes)! when found guilty and fined , sentenced to traffic school he just grinned, showed his a** like a baboon and shoved a reporter on the escalator. he seems to think that the rules we mortals have to obey don't apply to him. he's supposed to have an ethics hearing in the capital. (ethics! siplin? YEAH RIGHT! put him in the same cell with that scumbag pearlmann. they're both birds of a feather!

for those prepping for the oncoming storms. remember the list they give you does NOT contain a standard telephone or rabbit ears! even if your phone lines aren't down, with NO power, your cordless phone is a useless piece of junk! and if your cable takes a hit, guess what! NO TV! unless you have the old rabbit ears antenna. don't wait until the storms hit to purchase these items necessary to stay in touch with the outside.

Now that the FDA (federal dolts association) has approved the "remove the curse pill", (you women know what I'm talking about). does this mean no more PMS? or can we still rely on those monthly emotional outbursts?

as per expec ted, the florida legislature couldn't get their act together long enough to enact a cure for the property tax situation! NOW, they want 10 more days at $40,000 a day to maybe actually DO something! I call for a NO CONFIDENCE VOTE for the entire fla legislature! either get it in gear OR GET OUT!!! WE the people will remember your names come election time and every one of you should NOT be RE- elected because of the major shirking of your responsibilities to the Florida taxpayer! Let us get together and vote in some new people who may profit from the example of no re-election for goof off senators, and representitives! stand up now and help remove these worthless leeches from public office!

raised crosswalks are appearing in parts of orlando. what micro-cephalic misanthrope came up with this idea. it looks like a cheapo way to combine speedbumps with a regular crossing area. sure it may slow down traffic at intersections, but the raised hump is narrow enough to make it extremely hard for the wheelchair bound to balance on top for the length of the crossing. is this the intelligent thinking we can expect in the future from our D.O.T. (department of turkeys)?

when I first moved to florida, in the late sixties. I saw signs on the interstates saying speed limit 65mph, trucks and trailers55mph use right lane. then came 55mph speed limits (arrive alive drive 55 ). later after the gas wars, the speed limit slowly rose. now we are back to 65mph or 70mph on the interstates, where are the old signs that makes trucks go slower? I was cruising in I-4 at 80mph and was being passed by semis! and they wonder WHY there are more accidents involving trucks. the only semi going slower than me was one from the postal service, that figures!

another speeding motorcycle has a fatal result. this morning a (biker) crashed into a car at pinehills& clarcona and died. yes he was wearing a helmet (it doesn't help when you go headfirst into a car) WHY has no one checked DMV on these crashes and fatalities, to see what their driving records were? A lot of the new sportbike crowd is made up of people who have switched to bikes because of the no insurance clause. they received too many tickets for speeding in the pocket rocket cars, and can no longer afford the insurance rates. Soo they just switched to bikes which require no insurance and speed to their hearts content. sometimes in the process decorating the landscape with their bodies. I wish the state WOULD make bike insurance mandatory! yes I ride, and yes I AM insured! MOST responsible riders ARE insured! this would cut down on both the speeding AND fatalities!

tell me when a lighted sign that states no turn on red, and a red light, mean it's OK for you to turn anyway? the sign doesn't say only certain people have to obey it, it means everyone!! including you! also what is the big hurry at 3:30am I was waiting at the light on bumby at robinson, heading north, a car pulls up next to me, looks both ways and then goes right ahead and crosses robinson, WHILE THE LIGHT IS STILL RED! what is soo important that you can't wait the minute for the light to change. is your time that much more valuable than everyone else? or is it because you are a pigheaded, inconsiderate, idiot who doesn't care if you cause an accident? I hope you get broadsided by a semi the next time you pull that boneheaded stunt, it would serve you right!!!

so what if we had 8 hurricanes in 3 years! boo hoo for the insurance companies. I've lived in florida since the late sixties, the only bad hurricane until 04 was andrew in south florida! lets see 9 hurricanes in 35 years! GEE, what happened to all the money paid to insurance companies in all those years when we didn't get any hurricanes? it seems to me that they should have had plenty of money stocked away to pay for a few isolated losses over 35 years. BUT WAIT! after all the presidents of those companies needed all those mega bonuses they paid themselves, instead of investing the money to increase the amount on hand in case of need. do the math they wasted their resources and want us to foot the bill! NO FREAKIN WAY!!!!

Goodbye Saddam! and good riddence! I applaud the Iraqi courts for swift execution of their sentence, it has just been announced that sometime in the next 48 hours, this planet will be rid of one large piece of garbage! I just wish our courts could grant such justice. but the bleeding heart liberals and their ilk, seem to believe that scum have the rights that their victims were denied. they even wanted to delay the saddam execution! thankfully the Iraqis DON'T have to listen OR obey their assinine demands! again, kudos to you Iraqi court justices!
