I am new to this song but I like it.  I'm assuming it's okay to post because the record company posted it on youtube with an embed link.  Enjoy.

Alrighty, seems we can not post videos any more so here's a link.

Your link activates, Chris says a couple of words (youtube), and then Google pops up asking if this is spelled right? Seems your link isn't working.

I love that song. You can almost see whats going on in the way it was written.

WOW!! Nice song; powerful images.

Thanks for sharing.

BTW, the original link worked for me. I believe Kris Kristofferson's comment is part of the whole thing.

Best thing big and rich ever did, but having one of the greatest songwriters of our generation do the dialog at the begining was their best move. But still could not give them a number one hit.

As a child from the 60's, daughter and sister of vets, and the mother of a son now serving in Iraq, this touched me deeply. I had seen it before but it is still impactful. The song and the video. I liked the others linked with it as well. Thanks Northton

Wow, Northton! That's fantastic! Did you know the opening quote, from Kris Kristoferson is a quote from the Bible?
"Greater love hath no man than this: that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:14

Deb, That has also been repeated at every military funeral I've ever been to. It pretty much says it all...just to many forget what has been sacrificed for their freedom.
For anyone that does forget...I recommend going on a tour of Arlington, Or go while a military funeral is going on. I still cannot hear Taps without getting a lump in my throat, and feeling guilty, that so many have died and didnt even think twice about placing their life on the line for those he (or she) has never met.

Yep. Taps is a sad sad tune.
