Jesus Take The Wheel....

I love that song, and the young lady that sings it has, dare I say it,

the voice of an angel!

If you haven't heard the song, it's about a lady who, when faced with wrecking her car with her baby in the back seat, decides to just throw up her hands and hope for the best rather than driving.  (and she lives!)

So, in honor of this song, I present you with:

The Great Faith Challenge!

Those of you who profess your undying faith to the supernatural are invited to test your faith on our nation's highways!  All you have to do is drive at 70 or 80 miles per hour, head toward a bridge or other hazard,  and then let go of the wheel until your deity(ies) brings you safely to a stop.

Extra points are awarded for ice and rain, with a special bonzo-bonus if you have a baby on board!

Take the Great Faith Challenge Today!

For entertainment purposes only.  Please do not attempt to let Jesus, or any of your other imaginary friends, take the wheel, the stick, or any other manual control devices.

Ok Northton, you left me laughing at this one. I love your disclaimer at the bottom in little "itty bitty" letters...LOL.

AYUP!!  That fine print will get them every time.  And, you are so clever.  I laughed, too.

Norty, you missed the POINT!!  The Lady was already out of control . . . she was not testing God's faithfulness . . . but, as she was reflecting on her past lifestyle, and expressing her regrets over straying so far from the way she was raised, she was given a sign . . . a miraculous sign that she was forgiven, and her life was saved fromj a tragic ending.

Yeah, man!  I like that song, too!

Thank you both for laughing along!

She was only really out of control when she let go of the wheel.

I would adamantly maintain, Noble Northton, that you are incorrect.

I have to agree with northton! Hasn't it always been stated that we should not put our Faith in God to the test? Who are we to test God? God has given us the gift to live our lives by the "choices" we make. And I believe being responsible for our own actions is one of those choices. If someone did this on the highway today with a baby in the back seat, even though she would contribute her safety to God, society would still think she's crazy, and society would deem this woman to be an unfit mother, then CPS would more than likely come take her child away. Maybe a happy ending in the song, but not real life when Faith is put to the test.

You are absolutely correct, Robin. The point I am trying to make, though - in the song, SHE WAS ALREADY SPINNING OUT ON THE ICE when she took her hands off the wheel. She did not take her hands off the wheel to test God.

And yes, the Government is always happy to step in and take away the rights of anyone, under the cloak of "protecting." So often, though, they are doing more harm than good.

Stupid people are the only people who would fall for it. I'm glad I ain't stupid, and was smart enough to read the small print, or I might have done it. Well, if I were stupid?

Are you still looking for the powder room?

Oh c'mon Arky, she panicked and, rather than focusing on the problem at hand, freaked out and froze. Bad move in real life as you know.

Robin, you are so cool.
And yes, they'd think she was crazy and I would agree.

Blind faith is a very dangerous and destructive force.

I'm going to check out Gabbie's video.

The girl in the video, that is. She quit being a boozer. She let Jesus take the keys. LOL

Next time I'm in an accident, I'm going to let go of the wheel. OK, I'm going to try to remember to let go of the wheel.

If someone hits you, or you are going out of control, it's only gonna hurt worse if you don't let go of the wheel.

I can make wine from fruit juice. Want to taste it? LOL

It's bad to have your comments censored, and here every little thing is WRONG! You can't even joke around. Might hurt some one's wittle feelwings. Some don't mind it, and appear to be having fun with it. You never know? LOL

Even when I complain about this place, I still come back. ???? :) :P

Hello FOX comment approver!!! I'm still waiting for my last post to appear. When you say 24 hrs. to post you weren't kidding. Still no response to my e-mail asking why/what I did to get on your "bad" list.

Norty, I'm about ready to jump ship with FOX blogs. Do you have any recommendations as to where one can go to have the lively discussion I used to be able to participate in?
