Not a free lunch, but a free prostate exam. Hey guys, it's a very common cancer and early detection can make a big difference. Doctors suggest we start getting the exams at age 50.. at age 40 if you have a family history of prostate cancer or are African American. Here's a chance to get a free screening that could save your life.. and here's the information.

IT'S SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH.. FROM 8AM TIL NOON AT MISSOURI BAPTIST.

FOX-2 AND THE ST. LOUIS MEN'S GROUP AGAINST CANCER.. ARE TEAMING UP WITH MISSOURI BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER AND UROLOGY CONSULTANTS, LTD.. TO OFFER THE SCREENINGS. OR CALL 996-LIFE OR 1-800-392-0936.. TO REGISTER.

You can also check it out on the hospital's website.. missouribaptist.org

I can hear the snap of the rubber glove already...lol

I'm due for a colonoscophy soon so I guess I'll get a prostate exam at the same time...

How does the saying go......

""" While You're in the Area """

Do they have a location with drive thru service?

Ok, on the serious note, yeah age 50 is the target. I have 6 more years and looking forward to it. Not.

ALL
As a Prostrate C... survivor, and a veteran of MANY such exams, I would say RUN do not walk to this event.
The findings are quick, the exam is not bad, the blood test is a sure method and the eventual choice of what to do or NOT is still yours.
I am functioning today, after 5 years, and do not regret any of the exams.
Better to be above ground, functioning, healthy than the alternative.
end

My husband just has his annual physical. His prostate test was a simple PSA blood test. No gloves.. no prob.. Non invasive.

Nothing to the colonoscopy either, mr_wild. Didn't care for the prep..but the procedure was a nice 15 minute nap.

I anchor the 5pm and 9pm news at Fox 2. This is the career I chose when my dreams of playing professional baseball faded into reality. Should I coach or go into the news business? I made the right choice. But I have played sports all my life and remain an avid sports fan. When I'm not working, I enjoy working out, riding my motorcycle, playing golf and doing a little fishing.
