Give me a break!

My hat is off to Oklahoma. The Sooners beat the Tigers on both sides of the ball Saturday night. They deserve to be Big 12 Champs and they deserve to be in a BCS bowl game. But Missouri doesn't? They went from the number-1 ranked team in the country to out of the BCS bowl picture? Even with the loss they finished 6th in the BCS standings! I'm happy for the Illini, but the Tigers beat Illinois and they beat Kansas. They're both slotted for a BCS bowl game and MU is not? The bowl bids definitely show a lack of respect for Mizzou.. but also expose the flaws of the BCS. Maybe they should consider dropping the C out of those initials.

I agree! I don't think Mizzou would have had a chance for the Championship game, even if they did win. That was planned for Ohio State all along. It's all about TV politics.

The comment from the Orange Bowl that it was a tough decision between MU and KU is a flat out lie. Those eggheads had their minds made up before the opening kick Saturday night.

In some way, they're better off going to the Cotton Bowl. Dallas is much closer than Miami anyway and the closeness of the two schools to one another should make a nice little rivalry.

I anchor the 5pm and 9pm news at Fox 2. This is the career I chose when my dreams of playing professional baseball faded into reality. Should I coach or go into the news business? I made the right choice. But I have played sports all my life and remain an avid sports fan. When I'm not working, I enjoy working out, riding my motorcycle, playing golf and doing a little fishing.
