Now this was funny! The Christmas greeting featuring Christine, Carlos, Mark & Rick definitely deserves a kudos in my opinion. The politically correct hug, the passing of a white elephant gift, the search for a last minute gift, and the passing of a gift that Rick can't use made me laugh! I take it that it was meant to take a jab at political correctness, while wishing us viewers a Merry Christmas, giving us a laugh too!

An account executive colleague of mine spotted this one in "Radio Television Interview Report", an industry publication for the radio and television industry: Barack Obama was Abraham Lincoln in his past life. This came from a clairvoyant from the land down under: Margaret McElroy clains that Obama was Lincoln in his past life, and that he has experience in being a future president.
This caught the attention of a number of my colleagues, not to mention a bunch of laughs. By the way, if you start hearing talk radio hosts interviewing McElroy about this, you first read about it here. Now what do you all think about this one? By the way, any of you Fox 11 employees see this in RTIR? It's in the early September edition (the current edition). I got a good laugh when I read the article.

I made a promise to Casey Jones that I would write a blog on American Idol for this season. I am making good on that promise...all along, I thought David Archuleta would be in the runoffs. And I had 1 reason to think so: He has been prayed over since the end of season 1, when he sang for Justin and Kelly. Some of the loyal viewers immediately began a prayer ritual to have him become one of the American Idol winners, when his time came to be on television. Well, now that he is in the run offs, I think the prayer has been answered...last night's performance spoke words about him.
Now don't get me wrong; I believe that David Cooke is also a great singer, and he will do very well in the industry. This season has had some of the most talented contestants ever! So, I hope everyone who is watching has a great time seeing the finale.
I'd like to read about any of your favorite moments this season, or any of the other seasons...one of my favorites in the past was watching Lisa Tucker compete. Lisa happened to attend my Alma Mater (John F. Kennedy High - Orange County California), so I kept rooting for her. One other famous celebrity was in my class: Paula Abdul's old boyfriend John Stamos, and yes I was friends with him before he became famous!
