Help us track the major weather change tonight across the FOX 2 viewing area!
The FOX 2 Weather team says a powerful cold front is sweeping from west to east Saturday night. This cold front will bring an almost immediate 20-30 degree temperature drop along with a round of fast moving thunderstorms.
Behind the front, along with dropping temperatures, winds will gust from the west at 30 to 40 mph at times. As the temperature drops below freezing, there will be a brief period of time where enough moisture may be around to get some sleet and brief bursts of heavy wet snow. Accumulations, if any, will be light...and mainly confined to areas along and northwest of I-44 in MO and west of I-55 in Illinois.
Help us track these fast changes by posting temperatures, precipitation type (snow, sleet, freezing rain, etc) and how strong the winds are in your neighborhood. Are trash cans blowing down the street? Limbs coming down? Any of the snow sticking? Let us know so we can pass that information along to our viewers. You are a valuable part of the Fox 2 weather team!

You can get a real time lightning tracker for the entire country.
And all of this can be localized with the touch of your mouse. You have to check this out. You owe it to yourself.
To find it click on the weather tab, and look to the left for the blue "Winter Weather" button. Or

There are still hundreds of you logged in, so if you're cleaning up snow or have damage to tell us about, leave your comments in this blog. Think of it as a chat room. Share your photos and stories here, or start your own blog. Either way, we're here for you. -- The Web Team
Just a quick note of thanks from the FOX 2 web team to all of you bloggers who've sent us photos and registered today! We've been absolutely bombarded with stuff and we love it! Because we've been so busy, it took a little time to get everyone's pictures approved, but you'll be happy to know that it's done! Also, if you're asking specific questions of the weather personalities, it's unlikely that they will be able to respond. Not because they don't love you guys :-)
They're all just busy making sure the forecast is as accurate as can be!
Thanks again for the photos and the love!
