The second wave of severe weather is moving over St. Louis right now.

FOX 2 Meteorologist Chris Higgins is chatting online and explaining the conditions on our live stream.

You can chat with Chris, ask him questions, or hear him explain as the wave passes over.

A third batch of energy is in Texas and could be in St. Louis as early as Thursday night or Friday morning.

Help us track the major weather change tonight across the FOX 2 viewing area!

The FOX 2 Weather team says a powerful cold front is sweeping from west to east Saturday night. This cold front will bring an almost immediate 20-30 degree temperature drop along with a round of fast moving thunderstorms.

Behind the front, along with dropping temperatures, winds will gust from the west at 30 to 40 mph at times. As the temperature drops below freezing, there will be a brief period of time where enough moisture may be around to get some sleet and brief bursts of heavy wet snow. Accumulations, if any, will be light...and mainly confined to areas along and northwest of I-44 in MO and west of I-55 in Illinois.

Help us track these fast changes by posting temperatures, precipitation type (snow, sleet, freezing rain, etc) and how strong the winds are in your neighborhood. Are trash cans blowing down the street? Limbs coming down? Any of the snow sticking? Let us know so we can pass that information along to our viewers. You are a valuable part of the Fox 2 weather team!

We thank every one of you for taking time to blog/comment about the weather and help make the myFOX community the best it can be. I'm putting out a reminder about a few features on the site to help you through the storm:

WEATHER BUFFET
You hear us saying it, and now's a good time to do it: Bookmark the Weather Buffet! It has everything you need to get through the storm.  We love it, and we want you to use it.

LIVE DIGITAL DOPPLER XT2 RADAR FEED
We have our live doppler radar feed online. Not just screenshots of the radar, but the real deal. It will run LIVE 24/7/365 on this page. NOTE: We also share this link with SkyFOX, so when SkyFOX is over breaking news, we interrupt it.

INTERACTIVE WINTER WEATHER MAP
Our online weather tools are the best in this city! You can zoom in on a Google map that shows street level weather conditions. It's an amazing tool, and you should spend some time here. Click here to play.

SEVERE WATCHES AND WARNINGS TICKER
See the latest from the National Weather Service, including winter storm watches and warnings. This ticker feed updates constantly.

SHARE YOUR STORY
Start your own blog and share your story with all of St. Louis. We created the blogs just for you, and you'll be surprised at how many people like to leave comments.

TAKE PICTURES!
Get out your camera! We wanna see snow everywhere in our photo gallery. Snowflakes, sled riding, snowfall measuring sticks, snow angels, snowmen, frozen tongues, your favorite ice scraper. If you snap it, we want it! Please send as many pics as you can. You may even see them on our broadcast!

REPORT SNOWFALL
Meteorologist Chris Higgins gives you tips on how to measure snowfall, and there's a form where you can tell us the amount! This really helps out the weather team, especially when it's coming down quickly! Click here for that page.

SCHOOL WATCH CLOSINGS
Here's a link to the school watch page. We update it every 2 minutes, 24 hours a day.

Thanks everyone, now go get your bread, milk, and eggs and blog away! Don't be shy about leaving comments! The community is here for you!

Show us what you get!

So first we got a little snow, now on Monday we're getting ice and we're expected to get more Tuesday.  FOX 2 Meteorologist Glenn Zimmerman says we could even get cold enough for snow Wednesday night!

Tell us what the conditions are like at your house, your work ... wherever you are.

If you take some pictures of the ice and nasty weather where you are, post them here.  We want to use them on air!

Do you love the weather? Do you love winter? Do you hate winter? Either way - we've got the thing for you. Track what's coming yourself. Our new myFOX winter weather tools are groundbreaking.

Seriously.

You won't find winter weather coverage like this anywhere else.

You can track snowfall forecasts over the next three days anywhere in the country.

You can check out ski hills all over the U.S. and mouse over them to see how much powder they have, and see detailed trail maps.

You can get a real time lightning tracker for the entire country.

And all of this can be localized with the touch of your mouse. You have to check this out. You owe it to yourself.

To find it click on the weather tab, and look to the left for the blue "Winter Weather" button. Or click here to see the Winter Weather section.

You like?

Just a quick note of thanks from the FOX 2 web team to all of you bloggers who've sent us photos and registered today! We've been absolutely bombarded with stuff and we love it! Because we've been so busy, it took a little time to get everyone's pictures approved, but you'll be happy to know that it's done! Also, if you're asking specific questions of the weather personalities, it's unlikely that they will be able to respond. Not because they don't love you guys :-)
They're all just busy making sure the forecast is as accurate as can be!
Thanks again for the photos and the love!

Hey weather bloggers, this is Patrick, one of the Web producers for myFOXstl.com. I like what I've been seeing on the blogs the past few days. The personal forecasts (stlweatherfanatic, snowbunnySTL, stlcardinalsfan721, and steve-oweather) have been fun to read. Exciting stuff. We thank every one of you for taking time to blog/comment about the weather and help make the myFOX community the best it can be.

I'm putting out a reminder about a few features on the site to help you through the storm:

LIVE DIGITAL DOPPLER XT2 RADAR FEED

SEVERE WATCHES AND WARNINGS TICKER
See the latest from the National Weather Service, including winter storm watches and warnings. This ticker feed updates constantly.

SHARE YOUR STORY
Start your own blog and share your story with all of St. Louis. We created the blogs just for you, and you'll be surprised at how many people like to leave comments.

REPORT SNOWFALL
On the Weather Buffet page, you'll find a button where you can report snowfall. This really helps out the weather team, especially when it's coming down quickly!

SCHOOL WATCH CLOSINGS
Here's a link to the school watch page. We update it every 2 minutes, 24 hours a day.

MORE TO COME
We'll be adding more wintry graphics and maps for you in the next couple of days, so keep checking back in the weather section of the Web site for the latest from your myFOX team.

Thanks everyone, now go get your bread, milk, and eggs and blog away!

Don't be shy about leaving comments. We read each and every one of them.
