We have all had a few true friends....!!

unconditional.jpg unconditional image by LibertyBellePA

A true friend in life is a rare opportunity...... We are all blessed with a few and some of us are given the opportunity to have more than others..... A true friend always looks out for you..... Will help you out when you get in a jam..... Knows right from wrong and will make sure that you walk on the right side of life and speaks out when you don't...... Instills values in you and sets examples by deeds and actions..... Always has time to spend with you and keeps your time occupied......  And no matter how strong the dissagreement will always love you and be willing to forgive you....... Well last night I lost such a friend..... The man that taught me how to hunt and fish...... How to work on cars...... How to farm....... The importance of God....... And the most important thing in life....(Manners)......  The values of one great man will live on in nine kids and many grandkids and great grandkids..... Dad would have been 84 in December.....

May he rest in peace.......

I'm sorry to hear abut your father. I will be praying for you and your family. I understand the pain of losing a parent. It sounds like he was a wonderful man!

I know that you are aware that I am a songwriter. I often share songs/lyrics with those who have recently lost a loved one.

I hope these lyrics will bring comfot to you and your dear family...
God bless you.

(written for a friend's funeral)

On Your Angel's Wings

Here am I Lord
It is me, I have come home
I see your face as I kneel beside your throne

You took me...on your angels wings
You took me...and Lord you brought me home

Here am I Lord
I am dancing in the sun
My love and I...I waited oh so long
Then you took me...on your angels wings
You took me and Lord you brought me home

Here am I Lord
I am happy where I am
No pain for me as I hold my Savior's hand
Cause you took me...on your angels wings
You took me and Lord you brought me home

Here am I Lord
Looking down from above
I see the face of everyone I loved
Please tell them...I'll see them all again
Cause you took me on your angels wings
You took me and Lord you brought me home
Now, I'm really home

I wrote this for Father's Day but I think it is appropriate to share with you as you reflect on the wonderful memories of your dad

The Greatest Memories

The greatest memories that I've had
Are the times I've shared with my dad
Oh God, I thank you for his love

And on his special day today,
I hope he knows I feel this way
Oh God, I thank you for my dad

Cause he has given me.. all these memories

Sorry I ran out of room. Let me try this again.

The Greatest Memories

The greatest memories that I've had
Are the times I've shared with my dad
Oh God, I thank you for his love

And on his special day today,
I hope he knows I feel this way
Oh God, I thank you for my dad

Cause he has given me.. all these memories
I am grateful for all of his love

Oh I remember good and bad
Some days were happy some were sad
Oh God, I thank you for my dad
Even though some times were rough
I always knew I had his love
Oh God, I thank you for my dad

Cause he has given me...all these memories
I am grateful for all of his love

Now one day when the angels come
And take him to his heavenly home
Oh God, I'll thank you for his life

And I will always try to be
The example that he set for me
Oh God, I thank you for my dad

Cause he has given me...all these memories
I am grateful for all of his love

Oh the greatest memories that I've had
Are the times I've shared with my dad
Oh God, I thank you for his love
Oh God, I thank you for my dad

Tommy; I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your father raised a fine human being in you; as I'm sure he did with the rest of your family. That was a lot of work; 10 kids; so now he is enjoying eternal peace and rest after all the work he did here.
May God Bless You and your family; and give you peace in knowing your dad is doing well and living a wonderful; peaceful new life that will last an eternity!
