My name is Mauricio (Moe) Pineda Drpic and I was watching “Midday Sunday” with Tony Valdez on Channel 11 this morning in Valencia, Ca.  At first I saw an interesting gentleman Charles Wright that had a CD out called “Finally Got It…Wright” and his story was incredible.  Then, Thee Mr. Duran, shows up as happy as can be and his story was absolutely inspiring.  I would like to thank Tony Valdez and KTTV Channel 11, Fox, Mr. Duran and Mr. Wright for being on the right channel at the right time.

I sent Mr. Duran the same note but more detailed...........I was wondering if he would give me input on some music I made.

Just in case you wanted to hear and see it.  It's called love and hope.

You can see it at  http://moes-music-place.piczo.com

anyways, thanks and peace.

Tony,
When you get a chance, you'll have to tell the story about your Ipod on random play. How the right song tends to show up at just the right time for you.
Mine isn't quite so magical. My tastes range from Nine Inch Nails to Ella Fitz, it can be kinda jarring. Plus, I made the mistake of putting the Chipmunks Christmas song on there for my little one.
Now that's disturbing. Imagine hard industrial sequeing into ... ALVIN!

Susan:
A couple of weekends ago, I was driving down to Long Beach to to have a piece of Red Velvet cake at Jongewaard's Bake & Broil, when my iPod started to put together a wonderfully eclectic set of tunes. I ended up driving over to Belmont Shores, then back to Terminal Island just to keep listening to this "randomly" selected group of songs. I've gone through 5 iPods over the years and countless iTunes upgrades so I know it's not in the silcon or the software. For me, most of the charm is in going from Ernest Tubb to Seiji Ozawa and the Boston Phil, then turning to Machito and winding up somewhere between Charlie Parker's "Moose the Mooche" and anything by Leigh Nash or Leah Siegel. The transitions are never jarring to my ears. By the way, "The Chipmunk Song" by David Seville (aka Ross Bagdasarian) has always been on my iPod. It's all in the ears. Enjoy!

I like that story. I like that contrast too, because I surf the radio. I'll sometimes will not get out of my car until a certain song is over. I guess I like music that much. It's just a funny thing. Music is a good thing.

I was thanking Tony for having some stellar guests. I listen to as well as play music and sometimes the music fits the moment. In my case, I was watching TV. on a Sunday when I usually don't. And his guests that day inspired me to accomplish certain things. It’s just that simple.

And Susan is pretty funny. I got a good laugh. By the way, my first album I ever owned was Alvin and the Chipmunks
sing
THE BEATLES 1965.
