Honestly, now...which one makes the hair on your neck stand up?  I still say #1.  As you can see, Mom, Dad, baby sister Noah were all there, and the shoot was not in some seamy little room, but outdoors with a full crew.  I didn't post  "THE PHOTO" for two reasons..one, everyone has seen it, and two, I don't know that FOX would let me.

Yes but all those pictures, except for the first one are NOT going to be in the magizine. HOWEVER, there are much more that are not so nice, these are the PLESEANT ones, they took down the others with her and her father. When I seen the site they had a few others. Also, did you watch the video?

Not yet on the video, will probably in a little while. And I'm sorry, but I don't think #1 is pleasant at all. I NEVER laid all over my daddy like that...and he's a liberal!!

Number one is bad but yesterday they had worse that they took down, on the video it look like they were about to make out, thats what got my blood boiling

The first one does creep me out a bit. But these pictures aren't bad at all. I do take issue with the one that surrounds the controversy, though.

Dad and daughter look a little too cozy.

I saw the video that WWP is talking about. I can see where he would be creeped out, and they do look a little too close for my taste. Maybe its different with other families..I love and hug and kiss on my daddy, but there were boundaries with us. I don't see those boundaries with them. Is that why some of the shots with Miley & Billy Ray make me nervous? Maybe.

geez...a professional photographer set up these poses and took these photos!! The whole point of this magazine is to get people to look at their photos and they know how to graze the fine line of what some people deem 'appropriate' (remember naked pregnant Demi Moore??)...( 12 yr old Brooke Shields?)...Obviously, this family made a decision that they were comfortable with the poses... it appears to be that this family is embracing their daughter's beginning steps of transition into womanhood.
I, personally think that the first photo is a beautiful, retrospective, reflection of a father who respects his daughter..
Any nasty comments about the little one on his lap?
It sounds like some people are reading too much into these..tsk tsk..

I agree, Pam..I think the backshot of Miley (tee hee, I saved it as 'the shot heard round the world') is beautiful, and I would love a smiliar shot of my daughter when she's on the cusp of womanhood.

But at fifteen, I personally feel that Miley is too old to be draping herself across her daddy like that, and that her daddy should be gently discouraging that. Part of the transition into an adult, you know, changing boundaries, leaving some childhood behaviors behind-but that's just my opinion.

Her daddy is may be having just as hard a time 'letting go' as she is...and as a mother, I can't blame him for that.

I wonder if she was "draped" across her mother's lap, if there would be such a fuss.??
We want father's to play loving nurturing roles in their children's lives. Unfortunately, if they do,sexual inappropriateness is immediately suspected...true, yet sad..very sad

With a young child, it is appropriate..but with a teenage girl who is closer to being a woman than a little kid? Raises eyebrows.

Along the same lines..if it were a teenage boy draped across his mother like this, or even across his father..would you feel the same?

I've been watching all the various blogs and forums about this picture, and the europeans are laughing their bootys off at the prudishness of the USA. All this fuss over a backless picture. If she were wearing a halter top, it would show the same..and you wouldn't hear a peep about it.

Wow, I'm way late on this, but wanted to say my part anyway :)

I think she looks like a typical teenage girl. I'm just glad that her and her father ARE that close, then maybe, JUST maybe she won't be like all the other stoopid little girls in Hollywood getting into trouble! I say you go Miley and don't worry about what everyone else thinks...be yourself!

My daughter is VERY close with her father and I wouldn't have it any other way! NO, I don't believe there is sexual contact. I think it's father and daughter contact which there shouldn't be an issue with AT ALL! If more father's loved their children that way then maybe they wouldn't be looking for it elsewhere!

The first photo is disturbing and would be looked at in an odd way with any daughter and father.

Frankly, "The Photo" wasn't even all that flattering of Miley...her face looked a little disproportional and she looked very pale...much like the joker.

Also, in "The Photo" it looks like the back of a dress a girl her age would wear to an awards ceremony!

But Miley has done many other things that would make that photo look bad...a reputation stays with you!

Nah, Miley behaves like a normal 15 year old girl. On her youtube show, the Miley & Mandy show, she reminds me of my niece and her best friend in their mannerisms, their speech, just the crazy things they do. The pictures? Show me a 15 year old girl who doesn't take pictures of herself.

I think most people know that she is, after all, just a kid...and kids screw up.
