You all know that Tina Turner is from East St. Louis.... I knew that IKE would blow through here looking for her! They were "Rolling on the River" and IKE simply wanted to re-live his past! He did not find her on the river so he simply left his mark and scurried on! LOL
OK - I have not blogged for sometime now. BUT... I have noticed that every presidential election that I have lived through, creates a BLOW to our society! The democrats will manipulate the market - OR- the republicans will manipulate the market to have you vote for their side.
We continually get screwed on gas prices etc>>> while they play their game! As soon as the election is about to come forth......Everything will fall into place and correct itself.
Is it me? Or, do you all see the "high school" game that is played with our TAX DOLLARS AND OUR LIVES? Mark my words... Gas prices will come back down and the housing market will Zoom in November.
I still wonder why we separate ourselves into Republican and Democrat??? Why does this game continue? Why do we have two parties that "waffle"? Can't we simply vote for the person that can control our country?
United we Stand - Divided we fall..????? I hate the people bashing that goes on. It is sooo childish to me.. After all, we all want the same thing in the long run. JMO
Thank you for this recipe Margie!
I decided to try this for Christmas. I let my 6 year old grandaughter make it.
I wish I had pictures of it! It turned out like something you would see in a magazine! It was gone before I could find my camera!
Everyone doubted me because I brought it to my mom's house in the bundt pan. When I flipped it onto the plate, everyone was in awe! AND OH YES!!! IT TASTED AS GOOD AS IT LOOKED!! People were fighting for it! LOL. My brother-in-law actually grabbed the plate and ran to get away from the 30 people chasing him down!
What a great recipe and so easy to make!
I would like to share a recipe that I came up with, that is just as popular....
It is a brocccoli, cauliflour, cheese and rice dish that I named "poodle-adle". Don't ask me why I came up with this name??? Someone asked me and this was the first thing that popped into my head. LOL
You take four bags of "winter mix" (frozen broccoli and cauliflour) place in a large tin, cut a brick of Velveeta cheese into sections. Place cheese slices on the frozen winter mix and bake in the oven until the veggie's are soft. 400 deg. and keep turning and mixing so cheese does not burn. In the meantime, cook up two boxes of broccoli rice augratin rice-a-roni on the stove top.
When both are done, simply mix the two together and then top with Durkees's onions. (I usually use Schnucks brand because they are minced instead of whole.)
And voila!!! This a dish that I have been making for a few years that everyone loves.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Don't forget to try these recipe's, I guarantee that everyone will love them!
