Rick: I love your Rick's Picks. What an awesome job you have! Thanks for sharing your view of the sights with us, it's a temporary "get-a-way" for all of us in the midst of all the bad news.

You're so cool.

Nothing surprises me anymore, but I must admit I was mildly shocked upon hearing the allegations against Rod Bernson. I've watched GDLA for years and remember him clearly: retired sergeant, no less; appeared to be a straight laced guy and now this. This world gets sicker by the moment! It just gives even more creedance to what I've always believed: Police officers are just regular dysfunctional people, some sicker than others, plucked out of society to do a paid service job. They are no more above the law of ethics and morals than anyone else and their history nationwide, of corruption and cover-ups just prove it.

The sad thing is, the world is in such a demoralized state that we have become desensitized to everything and noone seems to live up to any set of code of ethics or morals. There are no boundary lines anymore and it's really sad, especially for the impressionable young generation.
