Why does it take so much money for anyone running for PRESIDENT or any other office in order to get votes?
Shouldn't we want to vote for someone who can raise the money like the candidates do who is willing to give the money earned in their campaignes which is in the 100's of millions to help with the crisis' which are occuring NOW in our BEAUTIFUL UNITED STATES instead of paying out the money for stupid election buttons and banners and all the other needless paraphenalia used for an election that should be about the person we are voting for and not how much he/she can riase to keep in the race?
Voting is not anout the actual person anymore it is about who has the most people to back him/her with $$$$$ and how much you can raise for the campaigne.
Does this money put the candidates up in posh living quarters and lavish them with expensive meals and expensive wardrobes?
we all see those commercials that say ti only takes $1.00 or less to feed the children and we see the devistation done around the world and still there is only one thing important to those who want to lead us out of poverty and to give us affordable insurance and work but they still can't stop needlessly spending the BIG BUCKS on frivolous things such as MILLION DOLLAR $$$$$ campaignes.
Is this a case of our leaders letting others over charge them and how blinded our govrnment is to allow people and big company's to over charge them with our money?

McCain had an affair !!!!! (gasp) OH MY!!!!
Alright so you thought he would admit to it??
HE WILL NEVER ADMIT TO SUCH A THING UNLESS YOU HAVE WITNESSES OR PROOF.
Are we really shocked that an elected official is having or had an affair???
I THINK NOT....
And for anyone to think he will admit in front of his wife is a fool.

I think people need to stop looking for skeletons because they mean nothing to anyone anymore.

The people just want these elections over with . STOP the grade school fingerpointing and get on with it.

Where do those $$$ millions actually go when they raise this money for their "CAMPAIGNS" ?
Why don't they put their money where their mouth is and give some or all they had raised to the causes they are supporting?
we are to believe that the $$ millions they receive is all used for campaigning. but What costs are there that are so great that it takes $$ millions (CHA CHING ) TO campaigne?
They have people who support them like millionaires and billionaires and they even use their own money for these things.
The only thing that to me could cost so much is for the dirt digging and paying off of others in order for them to yalk dirt (true or not) about the other runners!!!
And what them out there eating pizza and bowling and mingling who is paying for these outings? Most likely people supporting them .
I just don't get the reasoning for any of these people to spend so much for a vote !!
OK !! It does cost to travel but i am sure they either know of someone with a private plane or motorhome or something or even own their own in order to lessen the cost and to donate most of these donations to worthy causes.
and we wonder why we are so poor.
JUST LOOK AT HOW THEY SPEND THIS MONEY. IT IS JUST LIKE OUR HARD EARNED TAXES WE PAY DAILY . IT'S NOT THEIR MONEY SO WHY WORRY???
I WOULOD LIKE TO TRAVEL AND HAVE A PAID VACATION TO DO ALL MY TRAVELING AND VISITING. NO PROB.

I think that McCain is going to win . I feel that he was chosen long ago to be the winner by others and that OBAMA and HILARY are only getting so much coverage because of her gender and his race .
I have been watching McCain and he seems to be another BUSH . His manorisms movements away of speaking are the same. He just seems to be the one who will come from behind and give us all a suprise win.

MY THOUGHT IS THAT BOTH HILARY AND OBAMA LOOK TO BE THE ONES WE ARE ALL CONCERNED ABOUT BUT IN THE END THEY ARE ONLY IN THE NEWS BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN AND HE IS AFRICAN-AMERICAN .

I FEEL THAT ONE MEANS AN DWILL TRY HARD OT FULLFILL HIS/HER ISSUES THAN THE OTHER . AND THE OTHER IS JUST GOING TO RUIN US WORSE THAN WE ARE NOW.

BUT AS I SAID IN THE END I DON'T THINK THAT EITHER WILL MAKE IT AS PRESIDENT OR EVEN VICE PRESIDENT..
THIS IS JUST SPOTLIGHTED BECAUSE OF THE UNIQUENESS IT IS ....

OK , so we here all the talk from the people who want to run our COUNTRY , but do we really have a choice on who is going to run it??
It seems that all these BIG WIGS do is bad mouth eachother and talk like little kids who are pointing fingers saying she / he did it .
How are we suppose to know exactly what issues they are for if all we are hearing is accusations about eachother?
I have lost interest in their child like squabbles a long time ago.
My own children never argued that bad and neither did me and my siblings.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF BARING EACHOTHERS FAULTS IF YOU HAVE FAULTS OF YOUR OWN ? ONE IS NO BETTER OR WORSE THAN THE OTHER.
I FEEL THAT EACH APPONENT IS TELLING HALF TRUTHS AND WE WILL NEVER GET A TOTALY HONEST PERSON TO RUN OUR COUNTRY . EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN AGENDA AND EACH ONE HAS SKELETONS IN THEIR CLOSET.

THE ONLY THOUGHT I HAVE IS THAT THERE ARE SOME WHO ARE MORE SINCERE IN SOME ISSUES THAN OTHERS AND THERE ARE THOSE WHO ARE THERE FOR THEIR OWN GAIN , NOT FOR THE PEOPLE HE/SHE IS FIGHTING FOR THIS POSITION FOR. .
WE ARE BUT A COUNTRY WITH MANY OPPORTUNITIES BUT ALL OUR OPPORTUNITIES ARE BEING GIVEN TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT CITIZENS AND ALL WE AS AMERICANS HAVE FOUGHT AND WORKED HARD FOR IS BEING TAKEN AWAY FROM US LITTLE BY LITTLE.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF US PAYING TAXES IF OUR MONEY IS BEING GIVEN AWAY TO OTHER COUNTRY'S TO MAKE UP FOR SOMEONE ELSES MISTAKE AND OUR CHILDREN ARE SUFFERING I OUR SCHOOLS BECAUSE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH MONEY IN THE BUDGET TO SUPPLY THEM WITH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES OR , TEACHERS , BOOKS , GRANTS , OR THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE WITH ALL THAT WE AS A NATION HAVE WORKED FOR??

I DON'T KNOW THAT IT JUST A THOUGHT .
I USUALLY DO NOT VOTE BUT THIS YEAR I AM GOING TO MAKE IT A POINT TO VOTE. I HOPE THAT THIS YEAR WHEN THEY DO THE COUNTING OF THE BALLOTS THAT THEY GO BY ACTUAL VOTES AND NOT BY POPULARITY !!!

when you play the lottery don't you have to show some kind of "LEGAL FORM OF ID" in order to collect your winnings??
I have noticed when changing the channel that there are many non ENGLISH SPEAKING people who need translations in order to play those games on the "BIG SPIN" run by the CALIFORNIA LOTTERY.
And last i remember these monies put into the lottery were paid by us TAX PAYING people who worked to support this lottery.
Now i am all for everyone having some luck and enjoying it but i feel that this is a kick in the pants to those of us who never get the chance to win like those who are not from here and do not contribute to our great STATE (CALIFORNIA) by paying taxes.
I remember years ago i got a scratcher that said 'BIG SPIN " But i never got called .
Why is it that most of those winners DO NOT speak ENGLISH and where did they get the ID'sto claim their prizes and do they pay taxes??
WHAT THE?? This makes no sense to me!!

If they give free medical insurance to illegal immigrants and my taxes are paying for it i do expact for them to give us AMERICANS our due and supply us with free medical insurance too. Especially since this is one of the issues that supposively our poeple who are running for office are fighting for and especially since WE ARE PAYING THE TAXES .

Ilegal immigration is such a kick in the face to us AMERICANS !

ok they are humans like the rest of us and yes i believe in helping people but when these immigrants come to our country to collect SOCIAL SECURITY and WELLFARE and MEDICAL and we are paying for it and they just come to CALIFORNIA once a month to collect these benefits jut to take it back to MEXICO to live the high life off our taxes i find this insulting.

Where is the control of our money ? They don't seem to keep an good eye on the whereabouts of our tax money very well.

There should be some sort of law that makes them stay here in the US in order to collct this money. Like ankle bracelets or something.

They seem to keep better tabs on the ordinary joe off the street than they do the immigrant who is stealing right from under their noses.

I would just like to know who gives the o for the fnding when these people show up to apply for these benefits and what excuse do they have for this getting out of hand??
