I wonder if the writers are actually working now or are they sitting back trying to recoup from their many months of picketing???I have a couple of questions about when they were doimg their picketing .

1) were they able to keep thier houses and cars and were their utilities ever interupted like any of ours (the public) would of been disconnected in the next month.
2) Will they offer or have they offered to repay the stars or others who supported them through their strike that they created for more money?
3) Are they going to give us something good to watch after all this CRAP of wah wah wah for more money?

I hope that the union who settled the strike and the writers guild are going to recieve something impressive for all this crying and belly aching that was interupting all our lives.

OH MAY WE NEVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN. IF THEY EVER STRIKE LIKE THIS AGAIN I HAVE JUST ONE SUGGESTION TO THE WRITERS GUILD..

DON'T RENEW THEIR CONTRACTS JUST HIRE NEW WRITERS THIS SHOULD BE VERY EMBARRASING TO ALL INVOLVED.
AND TO THE WRITERS GET GOOD LAWYERS AND MAKE SURE THEY COVER YOU FOR ANY AND ALL FUTURE WAYS OF MAKING MONEY...

PLEASE

they make 250,000 a year and were collecting residuals while they were picketing ..they came out just fine after all said and done they got newline media other than that they got nothing just put a lot of people out of work who unlike them don't make their kind of money or collect residuals..not to mention during their absence television producers replaced shows with non union reality shows even more hurting all the other people who work in the industry including actors who stuck up for them..most said they didn't get what they thought they deserved but wanted to get back to work in actuality if they did not take the offer they were given the WGA would have most likely dissolved..but for now kick back and relax to your favorite show ..you have 3 years til the next writers strike

Hit or miss. Many of the writers I have talked with are getting back to or have returned to productions. Some productions that were heading south anyhow, remained canceled. The one's that were doing so-so to great are back in or going into production. Don't worry Craftyguy, you should find lots of work soon, just hang in there.

Oh, one other note. Many writers, a good amount of them are in the 30K to 60K and that is actually the high end at 60K per year give or take. Yeah there are others who do make more, but they are far and few between and the million dollar writers are even more scarce to locate. Cheers!

Not this year, perhaps within about two years if things go right. The project will be based on my Technological Terror Tale CalHouse and it could be a big budget feature. Things like this take a lot of time to get together. People think that a couple of guys sit down and make a film, not true. It is a business and can come apart at anytime. A friend who once controlled some big studio funds had their studio at the time evaluate CalHouse in 1998 as a viable project. At that time and with the FX and models and computer CGI at the time, it was estimated at 83 million dollars and they decided to forgo the project. But technology has changed significantly so we shall see what happens. http://www.sebar.com/calhouse until they do something later...

I know that all you writers are hard workers and you are people just like the rest of us , it just seems so people like me that are not in the "BUSINESS" that all of "HOLLYWOD" is so GRAND but all in all i do feel for anyone who has to walk those picket lines and not do the jobs yo are so proud of and that you have a passion for. i am happy to hear that you an the others are geting back to your lives and i hope and pray that in 3 years things are better ! I mean no disrespect in my "blogs" they are only one persons opinions and i just have to vent as we all do. The 2 of you took all in stride and i commend you for that. We the UN-HOLLYWODIANS know nothing of your business , we see it all through movies , tv shows and the celebs that portray your characters.
One last thing "CHEERS "on your settlement and may the next 3 years be much more lucrative for you !! I would love it if you would keep in touch and let me know ho you are doing. GOOD LUCK in the future and take care.
