NOW what has happened to the justice system ?

Isn't one child molester like the other. Shouldn't they all be arrested and registered as sex offenders?

Or is being a man of the cloth just like being a HILTON you get special treatment for your wrongdoings?

I cannot believe that they only made father mahoney pay restitution to those he scarred for life. And to top it all off It is not even his money that is paying for his dirty deeds. It is the churches money. Now just where is the lesson that this man that we as humans as children of GOd who put our TRUST in man who is there to guide us and make things better and show us the way to the LORD . What is he suppose to be learning from others paying for his mistakes?

May he get a heart and punishment for his actions. He needs to go to jail in order to pay for the criminal acts he has used against these poor people.

I AGREE THIS IS A HORRIBLE AND HUMILIATING THING TO HAVE HAPPEN TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ! HOW AWFUL! THESE PRIESTS COMMITED A CRIME AND SHOULD BE COMPLETELY CASTRATED AND HAVE THIER HANDS CUT OFF SO THEY COULD NO LONGER HURT OR TOUCH ANYBODY ELSE , EVER ! I AM SO SAD...IT'S AS IF WE CANNOT TRUST ANYBODY . WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PERPETRATORS ?THERE ISN'T ENOUGH MONEY IN THE WORLD THAT COULD BRING BACK THE VICTIMS CHILDHOOD .

JUST WANTED TO ADD : EVEN THROUGH THERAPY IT WILL ALWAYS STAY WITH THEM , I KNOW, AS I AM A VICTIM OF SEXUAL ABUSE . IT STARTED WHEN I WAS 5 YRS. OLD . HOW SICK IS THAT ? I AM GREAT NOW , IT HELPS TO TALK ABOUT IT WHEN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS COME UP .

It just bugs me that there really is no punishment for guys like Mahony and Cardinal Law in Boston. They don't defrock these guys, the let them go into hiding and let them resurface elsewhere and do the same things over and over again. And the Pope is totally lost on how to deal with this.

I'm not Catholic, but it seems like the church needs to fast forward to the 21st century on this issue.

I THINK THE CATHOLIC CHURCH FASTS FORWARD WHEN CONVENIENT TO THEM . YOU KNOW LIKE SETTLING THIS LAW SUIT . ITS AS IF THIS IS EXPECTED OF PRIESTS . GROSS ! Come on Catholics, set yourselves free from these pedophile priests, call for the resignation of Roger Mahony and try to regain what little credibility you folks had before this crime was committed against you.
