My stay-cation will be waiting by the pool hoping for a bone marrow transplant. I have posted my story here on this site and was ignored. I was forced to start my own website to try and get help. www.IHaveMDS.com due to the non effort from Fox, my family and friends have boycotted your station. Thanks for nothing

I am sorry to hear about your situation. Last I read, you had been diagnosed in Tomball and were being referred to Hermann or Ben Taub for treatment. Did that not happen? Bring me up to speed if you can. I remembered that you were uninsured.
Are you getting a strong response on your new website?

I am being seen at Ben Taub. My first treatment was a bust. It was injections of Aranesp. It did not help. Now they are going to try Revlimid, I am waiting to receive it. The only cure is a bone marrow transplant and without insurance I am sure to die. I just got the website up and running. I will probably be going to the emergency room in the morning for my 23rd transfusion. It is crazy. I feel I am fighting a disease and the health care system.

Roger,
I just went to your website and posted a comment. GREAT WEBSITe for someone who isn't internet savvy. What do people need to do to donate marrow. Is it a lack of marrow or lack of insurance that is preventing you from getting the help you need?
Let me guess, it's the insurance? If it'll make you feel any better, and I bet it won't, my docotrs have stopped taking my UnitedHealthCare insurance cause thier reimbursemtns take too long, so I am relatively uninsured myself and I work for Fox.

Lack of insurance and financial funds are the road block. They will not even begin to start the search for a match until I can provide funding for the transplant

OH GOD...........did they say how much money you need to put down for a deposit even? My family had to raise $150,000.00 for my cousins liver transplant or they wouldn't put him on the list either! By the way, we raised the money through public fund raisers until he FINALLY got the transplant. He's alive and doing well and STILL has no insureance. He's a farmer.
