Stop  hating  George W. Bush to me.  Don't tell me anymore  bad news stories on the President.  I get it, I hear you.  Hating Bush to me is a turn off.  I know more want to hear about  how you hate  Bush anymore than I want to hear about  Clinton being a liar  or Jimmy Carter  being  a baffoon  for the  gas lines  of the  70s.   I hear you loud and clear.

If anything  I have  added respect for these people.  Why anyone  would  run for office  is   beyond me, but the fact is, someone has to do it.    Each day those of us who work in this  live  realm of  tv /  radio  get up with  great  plans  to execute the best of what we have to offer  and sometimes we fall short and sometimes  there is  breaking news  that throws everyone for a loop.  Each President has  his share of  "  breaking news "  events  that  often alter  the course of history.

I don't think  Bush went to Washinton to start a war in the middle east.  As a Texan I have to believe that  his  plan was to make this a better world  for people everywhere.  Somewhere down the line  those  ideas  morfed  into  an effort  to  protect the country  from terrorism, which is a  way of making a better world.

The clock is ticking  and  I feel  for the person who is going to move into the Oval office  next.   I pity   the  poor soul who is going to try and lead  with such hosltilies  in the air.    Why don't we all step back and give  Bush a  break  for a day.  How bad would that be?

It is really terrible to be the "leader of the free world"--KING for 8 years!!
Getting a paycheck like He does, being enamored, sucked-up to by everyone is bad--
Getting to travel all over the world on your personal jet, having servants at your beck & call--not good!
Having mansions/retreats in many locations--sucks--

Making mistakes on your job, I can see--
Taking Sadaams place--nah!

Have you saw the film clip on utube about the Free world agreement?
Interesting!

Harry Truman once said "Being President of the United States is like taking a bath at noon every day in the middle of Main street. It's a job only a fool would want."

Everyone is a critic and a judge. Not just some of us. Sure we may not agree with the President or perhaps we may not like him, nut he is the leader of this Country. It is a freedom to vote for someone else. How do you think it looks to other countries in this crazy world that we talk bad about our leader?

If it's on YouTube it has to be true! Not.

The main reason I like Bush is because he plays tough.

All Presidents anger us.

In contemporary politics it's an us or them mentality - savagery.

I expect someone to get conked on the head this go around.

I liked Bush at first--
I think He is a great speaker, a likeable guy, & he seems like a "take charge kind a person".
MUCH more a presidential candidate than a Clinton, Obama, or the rest running--maybe?

It is a "scary" thing when you contemplate all the actions taking place, & even THINK that they are possible.
We all have the same goal, & most of us just have a "modest" knowledge of ALL the events transpiring--
There is not enough time in the day to study every facet of every item, for working folks!

There are a lot of suspicious actions being taken.
The invasion of Iraq--the entry into Afghanistan, the price of gas escalating, the economy faltering, the invasion of illegals that is not addressed, the Patriot Act where a citizen can be imprisoned if He speaks out, all create a suspicion that could very well be true!----?

The utube clip appears to be "someone's putting all the evidence together"--in a INTERESTING form, & we casually dismiss it--as B.S.--?

There were 3 posts by portillo on these subjects, but due to the legalese form, most didn't read them, including me!
The Security and Prosperity Partnership & the North American Union are 2 profound & INTERESTING items!

I sincerly think we are being "taken for a ride to the poorhouse" & many do not know it!
Time will tell--
I think I would rather be one that saw it comin

coming, than one that didn't, even though we both ignore it!
Being a leader has a TREMENDOUS responsibility, but the pay/adulation is great!

Lanny, you took the words right out of my mouth. I am so sick and tired of everyone blaming everything on Bush. Heck, what other president did we get IRS refunds under? None. Certainly not the Democrats. It is true that no matter who is in office, someone will be bashing them. Late night shows build their entire monologue around the president, regardless of who it is, what they have done, or said. Obviously we didn't go to war in the middle east for the oil, or we wouldn't have such high prices at the gas pumps, because we'd be flooded with crude oil. Bush did not cause global warming, he did not allow the illegal immigrants into the country, didn't cause Katrina or Rita,(his fault he didn't go down there and personally give everyone a ride out because they didn't heed the warnings, and he certainly didn't get a hummer in the oval office, yet people want that caliber of president AGAIN??? It just blows me away.

Natalie Maines hit it right on the head, got villified for it, but guess what..SHE WAS RIGHT!

Personally, he may be a nice guy, but he's an embarrassment the way he sucks up to the arabians, the mexican government. What leader sucks up to everyone?

He needs to grow a pair..but it's too late for that.

Thanks Lanny - great words to read. I too, am sick of it and I just turn a blind eye and ear to the naysayers. Funny, people, (mostly libs) are the first to complain, but let's see them walk in his shoes. They can't and won't. I have always loved President Bush. I may not like some of the things he has done, but we do not see or hear everything that goes on behind closed doors. If 9/11 had never happened, our country will be in better standing. President Bush had great plans for the US and President Clinton had the opportunity to take out this mad man long ago. Things would be greatly different if Osama Bin Laden had been killed back in 1993 when they tried to bomb the World Trade Center. How funny, that many citizens have conveniently forgotten 1993 bombing. President Bush has never wavered and he does not SUCK UP to anyone! He does not have to. The only suckers are the dems, they want to suck more of your tax money out of your pocket! Congress will not even pass the permanent tax breaks that many of us require. I saw the State of the Union address last night - anything about taxes and you could see their undies and socks get in a wad!

Skyder, you're right at the moment. But guess what? If Obama wins the Presidency, and he surely appears to have a great shot at it, you won't see the kind of bashing you've seen in the past. People will cry racism if a drawing depicts Obama with bulging eyes or big lips (they do it to white Presidents though). Any attack on Obama will not be seen in its true light, but rather filtered through the racism card. As far as I am concerned, that deck is used up and needs be discarded. Looks like next weeks shuffle ought to give us more of an idea, eh?

I'm tired of people complaining about Bush and not trying to be pro-active for themselves. Bush can only do so much for this country - we have to HELP make it a better place. That goes for anyone who may be president after him - one person can only do so much.

acc55star: Bush SUCKS UP to the middle east by saying Israel needs to give in to Palestinian demands. We have ALWAYS backed Israel. ALWAYS. But due to the middle east (aka MUSLIM) control over the oil supply, he cowtows (sucks up) to them and sides with them.
Bush SUCKS UP to the Mexican gov't by not demanding they do SOMETHING about their drug cartels, their coyotes, and their enabling of illegals out of their country into ours. He does NOTHING about the water debt and monies involved with border farmers. He does NOTHING to back up our border agents and ICE. What does he do? He kisses Mexico's [...] and does everything he can to erase/eradicate the Mexico/US border.
And don't you DARE speak to me about 9/11. My SIL was in the WTC BOTH times it was bombed. Clinton wanted to go after OBL, but could not get approval from the houses. My own rep, Phil Gramm, told Clinton flat out, "We're not gonna do anything about Bin Laden, so just shut up!!"
Maybe, just maybe, if Bush concentrated MORE on BIN LADEN and less on Iraq, OBL would be dead by now.
And taxes? Please, it was just as bad when the GOP had control. Even big time Bush kissers these days are trashing him.

Hmmm
All you have to do to rob the country & give everybody a small paycheck/tax refund--?
Seems like a good business venture!--?

Geez, Don't some people understand that "someone" has to pay for these checks?
You can only rob "Peter to pay Paul"--so long!!
Pretty sooon Peter runs out of money--maybe?

Mik1of3... seems like you are a little delusional. Are you implying that a state rep can just "flat out tell" a president, the commander in chief, what can and can't be done??? Wow. As far as the border... didn't Mr. Bush come up with the idea of a wall??? and I believe that he is the one who authorized the deployment of National Guard troops to back up the border agents. And while 9/11 was a tragedy, I find it amusing that YOU have the audacity to command that one does not "DARE" talk to you about it. I'm sure you are not the only one with relatives, friends, etc who were at the WTC. Not only did Clinton do NOTHING about the WTC bombing, but did NOTHING about the USS Cole when it was bombed either.

StandUpGuy... I agree that will probably be the case. If so, there is a prime example of denying the right to free expression, and the Democrats continuing to try and strip us of our constitutional rights. Personally I don't care if he's orange... if he's good, then so be it, if he's not, then let them play whatever card they like, he'll still suck

Great points, Skyder. Clinton had Bin Hidden in his plams but refused. He's a peacenik coward and a sexual deviant. His wife is an arrogant, loudmouth opportunist with no regard for decency. Any respecting woman would have canned that [...] long ago. But her greed for power and socialism far outweighed the shame she has and will continue to endure as millions snicker behind her back.

Gee Milk 1 of 3 - why don't you run for President smartie pants! Half of what you said is not true! Who was sucking up before Bush became president regarding Mexico? The Mexico/US border has been like that forever, so blame Bush, so easy for you. But do not dare blame Clinton, oh no, he was too busy having Monica under the desk. It has been AN OPEN BORDER LONG BEFORE BUSH AND CLINTON BECAME PRESIDENT! Mexico is not going to do anything regarding our borders, drug cartels or not. It helps their economy, just like the illegals coming over here to work. You think they are doing to stop it? Nah, won't happen.

Yes, I agree with you, I am pissed he did nothing about the border agents arrested and the border itself, but face it, the border has been there forever, and not one president has done anything about it. So, yes he has failed in this regard for me. Does that make you happy? That does not make me hate him.

Palestine? He sides with them? Are you kidding me? He loves Israel. He like all Presidents, wants to settle their plight before his presidency is over. Clinton did the same thing. It will never be solved, ever! There is only one way, bomb the hell out of Hamas and Fatah and get rid of them. Many Palestinians want to live in peace, but Fatah and Hamas are the ones making it difficult. They will never give in, so they should be destroyed. Bottom line!

I had friends there on 9/11, too, so shut up! Congress had to approve, pleazzzze! They only approve of something if it was money in their pocket, due to special interests. Phil Grahm is a joke. And why
