I woke up this morning feeling really  rested, I mean REALLY rested.  I took my sweet time  getting out of the house only to realize it had rained over night.  Rain?  I didn't hear a thing!   must be deaf.  Our yard is torn up, my streets had standing water, the car was soaking wet.  All along the way to work I passed cars that had flooded and had been abandoned.  I can't believe I didn't hear anything.  Everyone at work here is in a bad mood cause they were awake all night  listening to the severe weather that blew threw.  All the tvs in the newsroom are tuned to various  shots of flooding, limbs down, city wide destruction.......in short, a war zone, it appears.

I am not on the air this morning because we were going to round up the RenFest gang to promote their weekend auditions but mother nature took care of that outdoor shot!!

I know we are the Gulf Coast Weather Authority and all  but  I am GLAD  I slept through the storm.  It was nice not to lie in bed wondering  what swollen ditch I will be standing in.  Glad to see that job went to Chris Stipes............ah the new guy..............always make the newest littler in the bunch go stand in the water urging motorists to slow down.

Baby rabbits are cute... (moniker for new, young, green employees... so dubbed by Greg Groogan). Stipes, as always, does a great job!

Lanny, I'm not speaking to you. Well rested... the nerve.

Chris Stipes...hahahahaha....hahahahaha...Cute, young fresh face....hahahahaha....I could not help but laugh at him this morning during his broadcast....hahahahahaha....Those cars coming by spraying him with water.....What a way to break in the new guy.

Oh, and Lanny, I slept right threw it as well, only to wake up this A.M. and remember I left the window down on my car. I guess that's what I get for laughing at Chris.

i have always been a heavy sleeper. WW3 could start and i would sleep right through it. i really get a good nights sleep when it storms at night. for some reason the rain just puts me into a hibernation type sleep. i hope we get plenty of weather like that,at night, during this summer.

Just after I went to bed the storm rolled in and all of our kids woke up and they needed mommy and daddy. So we had a little storm party and while it was fun...I really wanted to go sleep through it!

Tracylynn, I'm glad you got a kick out of me taking a "shower" that wet and rainy morning. There's nothing quite like weather coverage in the wee hours of the morning. I think that car sprayed me on purpose!

I love my job at Fox, who else gets to see so much of Houston and meet so many out of this world people? What a gig!
