Robotic arms doing open heart surgery?

Hey ALL.....

My Dad is having open heart surgery on wed....7/16th. I would appreciate you all keeping him in your prayers. He lives in Arizona and I am flying out there on tuesday.

The interesting thing is ....his open heart surgery is being done with Robotic arms and the are not opening his chest! Crazy huh?

He has 100% occlusion of one artery and that is being bypassed and they are using Robotic arms to do it....isnt it amazing how far we have come in medicine?

Please keep my Dad in your prayers! Thanks!

I will be praying hard coming from a family of bad hearts I understand a lot..

Not to worry my uncle had 3 open heart oppration and he lived a long long time after that..

I will be praying very hard for him and your family..

thanks all....I truely appreciate it. I will let you know as soon as I can how it goes. The surgery is at 10am on wed.
The bottom 1/3 of his heart is already dead as he coded 4 times about 14-15 yrs ago...but he has made an amazing recovery and has done so well since. Still it does make me nervous b/c at one time they said they would never do surgery on him as his heart was too bad. He has come a long way since then....

Hey everyone i jsut heard from KElly and she said her dad is doing very well he is off the vent and breathing on his own .. So everyone keep Praying that there is no complication and he gets to go home soon and heals up quickly ..
