Did you see or hear about the 6yr old girl saved by the quick thinking of her Dad? He lost his life but saved hers. That is the link above to the news clip....

It is just so sad and it broke my heart. Sounds like maybe the Dad had led a rougher life before but had been straight for at least a year. They didnt even care that there was an innocent child on that porch...on his lap!

OMG! How Tragic! That poor baby! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family! I have a 6yr old granddaughter with the same name; Iyahna. Scary.

God Bless their family!

I'm sick about that story.

Those Black preachers in these areas have come on TV and said that they need to do something to change the attitudes of those people.
BULLLLLLLLLCRAP. it far more insidious.
its a life style brought on by THEIR Music, their films and the culture of NO SPECT.
You have children having children. what do they expect out a generation that self-raises itself. it uses the street as its play ground.
Its hopeless because of the nature of the beast (Racial)

Have a safe and blessed day

Cool. Only took seven responses before race was brought into it. Not a record, but close.
Dang man, it was a father protecting his kid. That is the story, not that he was a black man.

He is a true hero! And I hope they keep his memory alive for his little girl. I hope she will always cherish just how much her daddy loved her...

More than anything I want to bring out that this Dad was being a dad...he was sitting with her on the porch...playing with her, when this happened. Then he gave his life to protect her life...he is the ultimate dad!

and we are the world...black , white or purple, the world is in a sad shape. I can tell you plenty of white trash who listen to some really bad music and have no spect for themselves or others! It is not a color issue it is a human race issue.

If we want to change the world we need to stop seeing color and see ea. other as what we are...
Humans ...frail...living in sin....not caring enough about ea. other or the world we live in.
We have taken God out of the picture but yet we blame him for the mess we are in.

It is not white, yellow or black or red or brown....it is a human race issue and it is all over.

We-are-the ??????
Igree with you on one thing. That story makes me sick. That poor angel lost her father. For the rest of your comment. I am sure glad you used "generation" in your thoughts. Could have been completely correct until you blew off at the mouth and went "(Racial)". The only RACE that there is the Human Race and yes, we are messed up. Bullets do not know color. Only Scum Ignorant People do!!

When was the last time any of you saw on the news a drive by in Clayton, ladue, Chesterfield?
If you have a bag of rotten tomatoes and they were leaking do you just set them in the corner and believe that they will fix themselves?
all of you are like the commercial, You see the 400 hundred pound gorilla but you just ignore it.

Have a blessed day

You are not seeing the forest for the trees.
The story was about a man sacraficing his life for his daughter. What does it matter what color he was. You are so blinded by race matters that you can not see what this man did?
That is the important thing here.

ok..that sounds like an area thing. Lets talk about arnold and areas like that...the violence and the senseless killing isnt just in one area or with a certain color. You need to open up your eyes as well....
And I will say again...as long as we cont. to point fingers or use race (and this goes for all colors) we will never get anywhere and that is sad.
It is also sad that THIS story...on MY blog had to go racial...as Mechany said ...THIS story is about a Daddy who loved his daughter so much he gave his life for her....

Sounds to me kurkel that he thinks rich people are better than poor people.
My mistake, I thought he was a racist. He is a elitist. LOL
