I am personally glad that Lori Drew has to deal with the consequences of what she did. I think the others involved should too....but she was the supposed "adult!"

There is a lot more to this story than is being told..... Not defending Lori Drew but it takes a lot to drive one to suicide.... Not just one incident......

There is more to the story...for one thing the girl involved has a history of depression. Not just teenage depression but struggles with real depression...problem is Lori Drew knew this! Megan was even on meds for the depression.

Lori Drew...the adult and family friend who not only knew about this whole thing, suggested it...and sent comments as "Josh" the made up boyfriend. There is a serious problem with Lori Drew. And I firmly believe she needs to deal with the consequences of what she did.

Lori Drew pushed Megan over the edge...that is all it takes sometimes. No coincidence that "Josh" told her that the world would be better off without her in it....and then she went and committed suicide....hhmm. You dont mess with a young girls mind that way esp. one who is as troubled as Megan was.....

ok...the issue is not the Megan Meier had issues ...she did

The issue is that Lori Drew as an adult pulled the trigger that sent her over the edge. And as the adult who knew her...should have known better....

Sorry ...I feel you all are just giving Lori Drew excuses...jmo

HANG HER! She's a menace to society and should be dealt with accordingly. The Drew will go into either hibernation and/or move out of the midwest!

Sure, a lot of blame to go around. But, this was a young girl with some problems. Adults should not act like spoiled 13 year old brats. We are supposed to know better and even if you are not the parent, be there to help the troubled kids.
I am with Speedy. Hang Her. What a female dog. Sorry to all female dogs.

I don't think Lori Drew would like it if I poised as an attorney who wanted to represent her free. I can say I won all these big cases in California, will get her off scott-free, and get her a large wrongful suit judgement in her favor. The lady says yes, I make like I am doing all these things for her case then BAM night before the trial tell her the joke is on her. That would be SICK of me but Lori would know what it is like to be on the other end of the stick.

True, Drew deserve to pay for her silly and childish act. She was not alone thou. There are many other reason that Megan killer herself.

Her parents her divorcing. Can you say TRAMA!!That alone is a far better reason to kill yourself. Kids always blame themselves.

Megans suicide could have been a ploy to keep her parents together. She may not have ment to kill herself, thinking someone would walk in and stop her. Other kids have done it.

She had just had is big fight with her, maybe that was the reason. Maybe Megan felt that mom didnt understand her or wasnt listening to her. Maybe Megan thought "I'll teach you I'll kill myself, then you'll be sorry"

Yes-- I'm just guessing but so is everyone else. Even her mother doesnt really know.

Who knows. Only Megan.

I thought the divorce was something that was the after effect of the suicide. Divorce wasn't in the picture prior to Meghan's death.

Her parents are just as much a part in all this. Its easy to blame Lori. Heck, why not....
But, what kind of parent lets a knowingly depressed 13yr old girl online with some guy (regardless of his made up age) WHERE WAS THE PARENTS THRU ALL THIS? Too busy with their own lives I guess!!! The parents should have been paying attention to their daughter PLAIN & SIMPLE!!!!!

Once again I reinterate that I am not defending Drew..... She is the mother of the B's to have done what she did..... But I believe that Meghan was needing help long before this and nobody gave it to her.... I can spot a depressed kid all the way across a gymnasium..... Sometimes kids just need to talk to somebody..... Was that even an option for her.....????

Good arguments on both sides; she was on the edge anyway...no parental monitoring...yet an overt act by Drew undercover as someone else...The Judge has to make a ruling on "intent"...you have to also consider the "timing" of the suicide...it was right after this incident with Drew....if she was depressed before why did she not hang herslf earlier????

How do we know if she has tried suicide before this? We dont. I still want to know why the parents werent getting her help and involved with her more being they knew she was depressed and had problems...

Are suicides "reportable"?...I don't know...I mean would Mrs Meier allerted police? or a psychiatrist/psychologist? can this info be released? any 911 calls?..I suppose the courts may have access to most if not all that info...there are alot of puzzle pieces missing...i think this info is pivotal to the case...

I am a mother and I would NEVER pull the kind of prank that Lori Drew pulled. She makes all mothers look VERY bad. Lori Drew is an over weight harlot that has the nerve to be raising a child. The world would be a much better place without her. Curt Drew I know is standing behind his family which includes Lori Drew but how can this man support a woman of this kind. She needs to be locked away for life. Lori Drew refuses to take responsibility and be a woman. The Meiers need take her to civil court and sue her and her family for everything that their worth.

Lori Drew deserves the maximum sentence the law will allow. Adults are suppose to know better. She has an evil heart and was probably laughing hysterically all the while. I'm sure she'd not be laughing if it were her daughter laying in a cemetary never to see her again. She'd be out for revenge.
As for Megans' parents not getting her help, how did she get a prescription for the depression medication if her parents didn't take her to a doctor. None of us lived in that house to know what went on.
I hope a day doesn't go by that when Lori Drew closes her eyes at night she sees the face of Megan Meier.

I am someone who loves the Lord...who loves my family, and who loves my friends. I love warm days and sunshine....I love oceans and beaches....I love spending time watching my boys have fun....I love watching my Daughter become a beautiful adult and friend... I love spending time with my best friend and soul mate. I love friends...and I have some REALLY good friends! I have some friends that I have had for 15 yrs and some I have had less than a year! But I love them all just the same and love spending time with them. I will be there for you my friends...just ask! HUGS to you all!
