Hi...this is my first post....so be gracious, ok?....lol

I work at a hospital directly off 40....so it has greatly impacted my daily commute. But I have found a new path to take and it has only increased my time by about 5 mins with good traffic and 10 with bad. Things I have seen that I think will help is the extra lanes they are making on highway's like 70.

I think if we all leave with plenty of time to get to where we want to get to....and we keep cool heads and good attitudes, we will all be fine. I am sure it is not going to be easy always but I think we can all make it bearable! What do you all think?

But how about cell phones being put away while we are driving? Oh ok....I guess that should be another post!.....LOL...thanks!

Highway 40 is moving better than it ever has in the 40 years I've been driving it. I really save a lot of time on my commute these days. There may be a slow down when there is a lane closure but for the most part it moves great.
Closing the west bound Hanley entrance was the only change that was really needed. They could stop the project right now and I'd be happy.
When they close 40 it's going to make a real mess. The County needs to get busy making the lights timed better. When you have turning traffic with no where to go because the light one block up has traffic backed up... something needs to change.

Yes Nailer....and turn signals at lights that arent used to getting such heavy traffic, that need to be changed so they are longer and dont skip a cycle so you have to sit thru 2 cycles before you get to go! I think alot of people have already changed their traffic pattern so we have lighter traffic on hwy 40.

The friends we have in Mexico that live there say the accident rates are not high...they are low. But when they have an accident it is really bad ..... but really that is what it looks like, what you showed in that video clip.
