Did anyone else see the news last night concerning the abuses of the Cleveland city hospitals and ambulances? This is a prime example why I am so outraged about government moochers. Who the heck calls for an ambulance because they have (hymoroids)? Everytime one of these people call for an ambulance for something ridiculous it costs the tax payers well over a thousand dollars, and there's thousands of them doing it. Not to mention the fact that someone who actually needs an ambulance and needs to go to the hospital can sit and wait. This is one of the many reasons our health care costs are out of control. These people should be ashamed. That one woman had no pride what so ever telling everyone that she left the hospital after waiting too long to go home and call an ambulance for something ridiculous only to get there again and wait again! People are treated by emergency status. Not first come first serve. Our hospitals are over run with moochers who clog up our health care systems with BS.  I personally am not interested in paying for an ambulance ride and a hospital bill because some moocher has wax build up in there hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wait until those people get their “free” health care. They will be visiting your government assigned regional doctor for those minor issues while your major health issue is put on hold because the doctor doesn’t have the time to see you for six weeks.

the lady had wax in her ear. If people had good health ins., it is possible that they might go to a regular doctors. it is crazy what people will do.

These people have been doing this a very long time... a friend of mine is a leutenant Cleveland firefighter and according to him, this is an everyday thing! They call 911 and when they get there, there is not an emergency but they needed a ride! It's about time the news did a story on this so that EVERYONE can see what really goes on!

That's already happened to me. I took my husband to Bedford hospital writhing in pain. It was so bad that he was on the floor. We had to wait over an hour to be seen. In the mean time there were several young pregnant girls patiently sitting there for a check up and a man with a small cut on his finger. Needless to say those people were called before my husband. I was never so mad in my life. My husband ended up having a kidney stone. Which he was finally treated for. Oh and did I mention the nurse told him he was acting like a baby! What a disaster that hospital is. I wouldn't take my dog there. That's an example of what government moochers do to a hospital. They are so over whelmed with the BS that they don't even care anymore regardless if you're a paying customer or not! Which we are.

Republicans will search for any excuse to blame the poor people and demean them.

POOR PEOPLE RISE UP AGAINST YOUR REPUBLICAN OPPRESSORS!

Republicans hate poor people.

I have to disagree. I don't hate poor people. I do not like moochers who abuse the system that was set up for people who really need it.

NEVER EVER Even if youn think your dying, go to Bedford hospital.
What I don't understand is why the 911 operator even alerted EMS?

i disagree as well gorbash. not hating poor people, just the ones who choose to be that way and EXPECT the taxpayers to take care of them.

wannabe, i believe the 911 operator is not permitted to pick and choose which calls get passed on. they have to, no matter how stupid it is. as well as the ems personnel, they are required to waste their valuable time & energy on any call not matter how ridiculous it is. i would say it would be a terrible burden on both people to be in the position to choose.

Geez Gorbash! Did you NOT see the story aired about this? It has absolutely NOTHING to do with republicans or hate for the poor or any of what you continuously insist on throwing in our faces. This has to do with OUR rights as taxpayers being taken advantage of by inconsiderate scum of the city who have no regard for anyone else. I work hard, pay my taxes and therefore, I feel I have every right to pitch a bitch when I see stories aired like this one. The people displayed on the story were totally disrespectful and are the kind that feel everyone else owes them. It's just sickening - I don't care for WHICH party a person votes - democrat or republican. It's just a display of a bunch of pathetic low-lifes who continually take advantage of the system and run MY costs up the wazoo!

I think it's "here! here!" Yep - wazoo is probably as decent a word as I can find to post on here. Character it is and, frankly, these scumbags HAVE no character whatsoever. These people should be fined or jailed for doing what they do!

It is related to public policy, and when Right Wing Republicans try to use instances like this to try to derail, undermine, or termite Universal Health Care Programs for all Americans, which would be a good and morally decent program is wrong.

Sure, anyone who has caused trouble in the system and abused public programs should be caught and punished, but to use this as an excuse to demean poor people and call them animals and scum is wrong!

Poor people do not deserve your contempt or hatred, and they have done nothing wrong, these people in the investigation have done wrong, but that does not give anyone (republicans) the right to attack poor people.

yes, but cleve, if that were to happen, then the bleeding hearts would be trying to save their sorry "wazoos" with all their wahwahwah we feel sorry for the poor downtrodden who are supposed to be treated with dignity regardless of what low lifes they are.......& somehow blame it on the republicans........MOST of these so called "poor" (not all) are exactly where they chose to be.....in one way or another.

I do not hate poor people - just those who feel they deserve total hand-outs when, in reality, there is nothing wrong with them doing what I have done every single day - go to work and earn a living - no matter what it takes. Most of these people are too happy to just sit back and let the system support them. I'm not saying ALL poor people are like that because I do know there are some out there who are genuinely in a pinch out of their control, but this story is a perfect example that there are those who do it and don't care because they feel WE owe THEM.

I believe you totally misread my statement - I was calling the particular individuals who pull this sort of thing scum. Anyone who takes advantage of the system is scum. Those who genuinely try, are law-abiding decent citizens - whether rich or poor - are not considered scum in my book.

And, again, I am NOT A REPUBLICAN!

no, i agree with you 100% cleve, sorry i led you to believe otherwise. and yes, i already know you are definitely NOT a republican, that was a reference to gorbash's comments. no offense intended.

yes, even tho i am a republican, even I recognize that there are poor people in this world that we should all help. it's the ones who take advantage of the system that I have a problem with, just as you.

I am married to a wonderful man for 10 years. Between the two of us we have five children. Ages 17 thru 26. I enjoy gardening, yard work and taking care of my grandson. My most favorite activity when I have time is to sit by our little pond with my coffee watching our fish.
