After watching the presidential address, and the Democratic remarks after, All I can say is OH MY GOD! Does anyone realize what just happened. Our government publicy allowed the whole world to know that we are a country greatly divided!!! I have never seen anything so ridiculous in my life! Our enemies saw first hand on national t.v. the war that's brewing in our own land! We have just had a HUGE target placed upon our backs for all our enemies to see. I'm sure they are laughing at this moment for they are truly accomplishing what they've set out to do. Divide and conquer. I can't believe the tremendous divide Mr. Webb displayed for all the world to see! Nothing like airing your dirty laundry in public. I'm not upset if there is a dissagreement but if he thought he just put a plug in for the new takeover for the Democratic party I have to strongly dissagree. I believe he just showed our weakness to the world. A nation divided will surely fall.

These are not 1980's Democrats, to be sure.

This "New Liberal" is as ruthless and scathing as any home grown terrorist, and will stop at nothing to force their views of "social justice" on America, even at the expense of America itself.

They are power mad fools, indeed.

Libs are more dangerous to the U.S. than Al-Qaeda...absolute truth...

I feel like Chevy Chase in the movie National Lampoons Christmas when he realized he didn't get his bonus check for his pool. The out of control rant and rave from sheer frustration. Then holding his head in his hands asking for a tylenol.

I think our government is as well. I think the fear of my perceived danger we were just thrown into has pushed me over the edge for this evening. My brain cannot handle the over load. Thus the out of control rant. With my head in my hand, I know need a tylenol.

Taken from http://usawakeup.org/mainpage.htm

"Over time, the stress levels increase upon the 4 Instruments of National Power to the point whereby the people lose faith in the authority system governing the war. It becomes like a national nervous breakdown.; the anxiety levels of the people rise to the point of looking for a scapegoat: the two party system is fighting like children in a Cat & Dog fight; it is the current president's fault; no, it is the prior president's fault; no, it is our foreign policies over the last 50 years fault; the economic costs of war begin to break the value of the American economy because we must print more valueless fiat paper money to pay the costs, delaying the true costs to our children and grand children; in the chaos of rising anxiety, people will lash out and accept new values and relationships in an effort to resolve these stresses; the military will begin to resemble the forces of Vietnam, desertions, malingering, student protests, and resistance as will the American Families."
"This brilliant new strategy of the Terrorists has added a totally new dimension to the strategy of war in the modern world. They can beat us slowly by breaking our WILL WITH CONTINUED PRESSURE UPON THE 4 INSTRUMENTS OF NATIONAL POWER: POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, PSYCHO-SOCIAL & MILITARY. And they can wait until they have enough weapons of mass destruction placed in America to destroy the our way of life by full military force."

I am sorry but the rest of the world was clued in to the country divided along time ago. All they had to do was turn on any news program or any commentary program to be aware. Blaming past presidents for the situation today is ridculous. Mr Bush was aware of the situation when he ran for president and took office. If we have this problem now and we are through half of his second term, I would guess that maybe it is current government that should be to blame. But, excuses don't explain and explainations don't excuse. Stop with the blaming and find a solution!

I agree that rumblings of divide were all over the media. But know they've gotten it straight from the horses mouth. There's not even a hint of unity now. Weakness is not something we nationally need to share with the rest of the world. It reminded me of Jerry Springer or something. I feel they've stooped to that. I agree. Fix the problem. But don't air your dirty laundry to the world.

Unfortunately the rest of the world was ALREADY aware of the divisions that exist between party lines. This is not "breaking news". But when people make comments like "I HATE THE LIBS" doesn't this just further perpetuate division? Aren't you being a hypocrite with your comments?? How can we come together as a country with such intolerance for one another? The reason we are so divided is due to THIS PRESIDENT in case you didn't realize that. Do some research about the propaganda you've been fed by Karl Rove (who indeed leaked a CIA name as we have learned in the past few days). He is the greatest "puppet master" of all time, and Bush would have never gotten elected without his strategies, manipulations and of course the failed voting system.

Here's something to think about...Instead of blaming parties and boosting your ego by feeling "justified" in your hateful comments, why not envision us as a unified country that needs to come up with some real answers to our problems?

Even a majority of Republicans are opposed to the measure & expressed unease with the revised policy involving a war that has lasted nearly four years and claimed the lives of more than 3,000 U.S. troops.

This was printed just today:
"I am not confident that President Bush's plan will succeed," said Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana, senior Republican on the committee.

And check out Chuck Hagels comments:
"There is no strategy," he said of the Bush administration's war management. "This is a pingpong game with American lives. These young men and women that we put in Anbar province, in Iraq, in B

I am married to a wonderful man for 10 years. Between the two of us we have five children. Ages 18 thru 26. I enjoy gardening, yard work and taking care of my grandson. My most favorite activity when I have time is to sit by our little pond with my coffee watching our fish.
