WATCH OUT FOR SCHOOL BUSES and KIDS!!

Just wanted to remind everyone to be EXTRA CAREFUL when driving through subdivisions and school zones now.  Children are back to school and the school buses are stopping to pick them up!  AND don't forget to slow down in those school zones LOL!!  I know that during the summer months we drive our normal 40-45mph-but when school starts, that speed limit goes down to 20mph!!!

I get passed in school zones all the time. I do 20 and some imbecile who cannot obey the law always feels the need to fly past me. Why do they do that?

Kagua2, I know what you mean. I think they are most likely on the phone not paying any attention to signs or Flashing Lights! That's just one more thing they will get busted for in some of our areas. Memo to the IDIOTS or someone that can read this to them:
Hang up the phone, Both eyes on the road, Both hands on the wheel, and watch the signs.
Kids are quick, they can dart out between cars at any time, Be ready for this.

As an ex bus driver there is one thing I was always concerned with. On early dismissal days students are getting out at about lunchtime and there is NO law about cars going 20 at these times. As a careful Katy I.S.D. bus driver I always did 20 on these days as well, although other bus drivers drove 35 as that was the posted limit for that time of day. Please be careful, EVERY child is someones' Treasure.

I think FOX26 has the best news "family" around-and yes to most of us they are just that "FAMILY"! Keep up the great work FOX-and can't wait to see more and more positive changes for the station (as long as nobody leaves-your bloggers will stay happy LOL!)
