What do you do with the influx of political mail / advertisements arriving almost daily in your mailboxes during election time? Do you read them or just file thirteen them? I don't know about you, but my mailbox is inundated with political ads currently. This is a very costly project for all the political candidates running for election. I wonder if people really pay attention to them or not. I get a lot more for a few particular candidates than I do others. I mainly scan some and then trash them. It sure seems like a waste of money to me, but maybe not, who knows. All I know is I will be glad when the election is over so I can go back to my regular "junk mail" that I receive.

Has John McCain really got a winning ticket with Sarah Palin? I don't think so! I believe it's a little, too late. Sure, John shocked the nation Friday with his pick for VP, and I'm sure Sarah brings a lot to the table, but not enough, in my opinion to beat the socks off the Democrats this year. I believe this
IS the year for
CHANGE with Obama and Biden. Eight years of the Bush (Republican) regime are enough! This country and our country's image are in sad shape, IMO. What are your thoughts? I'd be interested in hearing all comments, good and bad either for the Republicans or for the Democrats.

I can't believe anybody had the brains to figure this out. This is one of those, "how did they do it?" configurations.

There IS a difference between being brave and having sense. These people who are staying behind in their homes and going to ride it out because they've lived in their houses for five generations or something like that, I say, "Who cares?!" There's such a thing as having the good common sense to LEAVE -- while they can. These will be the same people who will have to be rescued off their rooftops. You just wait and see! Stupid people, in my opinion.

Please excuse my ignorance here. I'm still not exactly clear on how this whole story came about on Spitzer. Can someone fill me in, please? It's not the "breaking news" that I need information on - I know the story. It's the "how it came about" that I need. I'm sure one or more of our bloggers can fill me in. Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Do you sometimes wish you never heard of e-mail? I get so tired of "having" to go through my Inbox and read all of my e-mails. But if you don't clear your Inbox for a week or so, look out. You'll be on your computer FOREVER reading all the "important" things your friends sent you. E-mails take a lot of my time and makes me wonder WHY I do it. After all, for the most part I'm only forwarding jokes. Nothing much of any real importance.
And what about those chain-letter type e-mails where if you don't forward them you'll be put in jail or something to that effect. One thing I don't do is forward them.
Does anyone else feel the way I do about e-mail?

How many people have a webcam? I'm in the process of buying one now. Is there anything I should know before I buy one? Hints, tips, etc.
How about a microphone? Is there one that's any better than others or are they all about the same? What should I be looking for with a microphone?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I need your assistance. I have an AARP card, but I don't use it for anything. I'm wondering whether to continue with it. I believe somewhere along the way someone told me they used it to purchase things at Walgreen's. Besides travel discounts, is there anything, any where that I can get discounts on with my AARP card? I'm just not sure of the need for it. Plus, I NEVER read the AARP bulletins/magazines. Any body out there have any news, opinions on this?
Thanks much!
