In a speech today, John McCain basically hopped into an imaginary time machine and took us to the year 2013, and the end of his first term as President. Some of what he would have us to believe......

The Iraq War is over, Iraq is a functioning democracy; Al Quaeda in Iraq has been defeated; Bin Laden has been captured or killed; no major terrorist attack in the U.S.; Iran and North Korea have renounced nuclear weapons; the Army and Marine Corps are larger and better equipped; a substantial increase in veterans benefits; the genocide in Darfur has been stopped; the U.S. has experienced substantial and "robust" economic growth; Americans are confident in their economic future; the world's food crisis has ended; test scores and graduation rates are rising all over the country; health care is more accessible; Medicare and Social Security have been fixed with tax increases or benefit reductions; we're on our way to oil independence from foreign sources; the southern border is secure; illegal immigration has been brought under control; and last but not least, there are fewer fat kids plundering through P.E. class.

Seems like an awful lot doesn't it?? The first thing to notice was that he gave not one specific on how he plans to accomplish any of it. The second, and biggest thing is, it's just plain fantasy. The contradiction here is that he states that it's important for our candidates to lay out "what they plan to achieve not with vague language but with clarity." This trip to fantasyland has no map on how we're supposed to get there. I guess that one morning we'll wake up, pigs will be flying and things will be right with the world. This viewing of things through rose colored glasses runs counter to McCains brand as a "straight talker."

82 percent of the public is unhappy with the direction of the Country, and 68 percent are unhappy with the war. 75 percent are anxious about the economy, and McCain doesn't seem to understand any of it. He, or his fellow Republicans can't run on reality or their record for the last 7 1/2 years, so they have to run on fantasy alone. It's like Mr. Rogers and a beautiful day in the neighborhood in 2013. "I can't tell you how, boys and girls, but it will be. You'll just have to trust me."

The pig that was flying overhead fell from the sky, showed his McCain button and reminded me that Hamas wants Obama to win.

FIRST!
Yes, it sure sounds like pie in the sky. I would like to hear more "straight talk" from our future president. Plans that we can at least hope for if not believe outright.
It's going to be hard enough to mark a ballot in his favor without hearing fairy tales on the way to the polling place.
Once again we are faced with electing the lesser of two evils. Just once in my lifetime I would like to elect a viable candidate for the job. Haven't seen one since Reagan.

I believe we all read blogs & interpret them to our own desires. This blog I read not as fairy tales rather what The man hopes to acompolish during his 1st term in office.

Of course he cannot acompolish anything that the congress permits.

McCain makes me think of Reagan too.
They both suffered from disorientation at around the same age.

That speech was hard to listen to for lots of reasons.

If there was a big hairy mammoth standing next to them, not one of these candidate would acknowledge it. They are only experts at skirting around issues.

Race debates, baby bonds, weekly press conferences, mean nothing to most people. But all three continually bring trumped up issues to the podium.

Things candidates never talk about are bigger problems. I have not heard one candidate address the SPP issue, opening up drilling in the US, or the pork barrel legislation they still sign.

McCain is a Neo-con. Thats the name they have given themselves, thats their agenda. Just released, Rumsfeld On Tape: Terror Attack Could Restore Neo-Con Agenda Former Defense Secretary's conversation with military analysts on political problems - "The Correction For That...Is An Attack" Learn what a Neo-con is thru this video explaination, then you should hear Rumsfeld's declassified audio tape. This makes me sick to think they have put McCain up for president after hearing Rumsfeld suggesting another false-flag attack on us to correct our attitudes.

Listen to rumsfeld's declassified tape:
http://prisonplanet.com/audio/160508clip1.mp3
Transcript:
RUMSFELD: That's what I was just going to say. This President's pretty much a victim of success. We haven't had an attack in five years. The perception of the threat is so low in this society that it's not surprising that the behavior pattern reflects a low threat assessment. The same thing's in Europe, there's a low threat perception. The correction for that, I suppose, is an attack. And when that happens, then everyone gets energized for another [inaudible] and it's a shame we don't have the maturity to recognize the seriousness of the threats...the lethality, the carnage, that can be imposed on our society is so real and so present and so serious that you'd think we'd be able to understand it, but as a society, the longer you get away from 9/11, the less...the less...

These evil people are talking about attacking us again just like they did on 911.

So what do we do now?
... Laugh giggle and be called conspiracy theorists by the ones who dont believe what we have been saying?
Vote for McCain?

Its time to get serious, cuz they could kill more of us.

Well as pie in the sky as it may have been at least he articulated a vision.

Whats Obamas vision?

Universal healthcare, at what cost?

"Reasonable gun control laws? Just ask the folks in Chicago about it.

Negotiating with Iran Face to face just macho Obama and loony Ahmadinejad mano e mano.
The boy has is clueless.

Lest you forget McCain has been a critic of how the Bushies have run the war from the start.
We may not have the best choices (again) but I would trust McCain over Obama or Clinton.

Tailtapper are really so insane that you think the US gov was behind 9/11?
Hell Al Qaiada can't stop taking credit for it.
As far as the Rumsfeld tape only a complete moron would interpret that as "them" (the Neo-Cons) planning an attack on the US or europe.
I don't recall anywhere in the constitution that declares a right to be stupid.

JUSTMEPA

Stupid is as stupid does ... and I bet you havent spent any time researching any of the evidence have you?

You just go along with the flow and listen to what they tell you and dont research yourself.

And I suppose the video above is a lie too right?

USA declassified documents say USS LIBERTY was a false-flag attack.

And the gulf of tonkin was a False-flag attack that got us into vietnam, That's admitted.

So our gov has done it before,........

Try to deny that, cuz if you do your absolutely WRONG ... Its admitted by our gov they attacked themselves then blamed the south vietnese to get us into vietnam.
Everybody knows that, so say it isnt true, then concider how insane it is to say usa attacked us on 911 to get the neo-con agenda rolling.

Your not very smart to laugh it off,

Paul81, phxjane can tell you the gulf of tonkin is declassified as a false flag attack too.

There is so much evidence that 911 was an inside job its totally ridiculous to think it wasnt.

Plus at the pentagon and in PA there was no wreckage from planes, so who is insane ?

And to think the most defended building in the world just stood there and was hit by something without a shot being fired.

100's of videos cameras onsight at the pentagon and the gov releases 5 still frames pictures that dont show anything as the convincing proof and refuse to release any of the videos. Why? Isnt it obvious?

Building 7 wasnt hit by a plane but collapses at free fall speed, all 47 stories collapse in 6.3 seconds.

None of it makes sence, but ok it doesnt matter anyways

jteamaz,
The most important thing that you quoted from McCain's speech is this:
'The Iraq War is over, Iraq is a functioning democracy'.

You say in your profile that you consider yourself neither Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative.

I'm about to let you in on something that nobody is talking about. It has everything to do with Iraq being a democracy. It is also the most brilliant plan that anyone was ever thought of.

Name me two democracies who have gone to war with each other?

The answer is that there has never been two democracies who have gone to war. When Iraq is a full fledged democracy along with Israel, what will begin to happen?

Other nations in the Middle East will see the fruits of democracy. They will see freedoms that we enjoy in the U.S. which don't exist in monarcy's or dictatorships. More Middle Eastern countries will move towards democracy.

The Middle East has seen hundreds of years of war and bloodshed. There have been numerous attempts to end the insanity of it all, but all have failed. There is though one plan that can end the bloodshed forever.

Two democracies have never gone to war with each other. You might not like McCain. You might not like Bush, but the strategy could change history.

Iran Intercepts U.S. Terrorists Plotting Attack on Russian Consulate

And JUSTMEPA says the usa gov doesnt commit terrorism. THEY JUST GOT CAUGHT.

Go read about it FOX wont report this: http://www.infowars.com/?p=2187

You have to understand, it sucks but our gov is committing the acts of terrorism so they can blame others so they can attack them, get $$$ in funding and achieve world dominance in order to build the 21st century empire of dictatorship over the world.

Thats what they wrote as their agenda in the PNAC (Project for a new american century) documents.

McCain is all part of the master plan, all 3 candidates are. So it doesnt matter who wins, they are playing all of us right now.

FUGICA

America isnt a democracy anymore.

The founding fathers hated the idea of a democracy anyways thats why we were originally a "CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC"
Say the pledge of alliegence if you doubt that, cuz its in there.

The politicians have converted a constitutional republic into a democracy by establishing a 2 party false system of choice.

Now they are working on a consolidated 1 system dictatorship, thats why they want to take all your rights and make you their slave boy,

The gov ignores and violates the constitution everyday and your accepting of that?

Thats un-american, no balls to fight for your freedom cuz you trust liars with it.

Our gov is mirroring exactly what adolph hitler did, Historians know this to be true.

And they will end up the way Hitler did too.

The question is, will YOU survive ???
Will you be exterminated in their FEMA camps?
Will you get lucky?
Will you join them and accept enslavement?

Its a cruticial time in history, but its up to you to research the facts and maybe you'll live to tell the next generation of children how to identify this ever ongoing threat to freedom like the survivors of the holocost have told some of us in this generation.

Not much to say actually. Just a normal kinda guy. I drive a truck delivering groceries for a major food chain here in the valley. Try to keep educated on local and national events especially those concerning corruption and moral ineptitude by our "elected officials." Very much for protecting our freedoms and rights, always open to new ideas and discussions. I don't identify as Democrat or Republican, and don't like to be labeled as liberal or conservative. Just try to stay responsible and informed as possible.
