HI everyone,

I am sure we all have talked about this once or twice.  I am trying to find out the bill on the ballet this November about the "outlaw dog bill."

I know about the "pit bull" dog ban, yet my brother was telling me that they are having it outlaw all aggressive dogs.  We just aquired an Akita in May of this year.  He is five months old.

This makes me nervous.  Any dog can be aggressive it is only in the way one trains their dog.

If someone could explain or let me know where I can read about this that would be great.

Thanks ,

Hillbilly

Hello to you all,

I am just wondering if anyone has or had the experience with AT&T bundle pack? The home telephone phone, dsl dial up internet and dish?

AT this moment I am really disgusted with Time Warner and their channel line up they just did.  Channel 69 use to be CMT they removed it and replaced it with MTV2.  I do not watch that channel and do not care for it.  The only country channel they have now is 147 GAC.  Now, we have one dvr box and that costs us $3.99 a month plus the remote, which I forget what the cost is with that. IF I want to watch that channel or now that there is going to be a change in 2009 to have a converter box to watch tv we would have to put it on one of other our tvs. For a year we are paying $47.88 for the dvr.  That is crazy!!

My internet is roadrunner and that is $39.99 for now and our cable is $55.00 a month and the prices are going up again!!

So, our house phone is AT&T and that is $65.00 a month.  I have had dsl in the past and it was okay just slow.  Road runner is really fast.

So, I am paying about $160.00 a month for cable and my house phone. Two separate bills at this time.

I was wondering if anyone has the AT&T dish and what they think of the channels?

Did you have to pay for extra boxes to have them?  Because I would need three for our household.

Do you have a problem with dish going out when the weather is bad?

Do you like the channels you have on the dish versus time warner cable if you had that before?

I would just like some feed back on this.  I am tired of time warner and the same shows are on the same channels every month.  NOthing new.

Is there a golf channel on dish like on cable.  Gotta have the golf channel for my Big Daddy....

If someone has this please give me your advice on this.

Thanks lot blogging friends.

Kind Regards,

Hillbilly

I RECIEVED THIS AS AN E-MAIL TONIGHT.  I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS A TURE STORY.

I'M JUST PASSING THIS ON...

Latest Drug in Middle School - 'Dusting'

First, I'm going to tell you a little about me and my family. My name is Jeff. I am a Police Officer for a city which is known nationwide for it's crime rate. We have a lot of gangs and drugs. At one point we were # 2 in the nation in homicides per capita. I also have a police K-9 named Thor. He was certified in drugs and general duty. He retired at 3 years old because he was shot in the line of duty. He lives with us now and I still tr ain with him because he likes it. I always liked the fact that there was no way to bring drugs into my house. Thor wouldn' t allow it. He would tell on you. The reason I say this is so you understand that I know about drugs.

I have taught in schools about drugs. My wife asks all our kids at least once a week if they used any drugs.

I like building computers occasionally and started building a new one in February 2005. I also was working on some of my older computers. They were full of dust so on one of my trips to the computer store I bought a 3 pack of DUST OFF. Dust Off is a can of compressed air to blow dust off a computer. A few weeks later when I went to use one of them they were all used. I talked to my kids and my two sons both said they had used them on their computer and messing around with them. I yelled at them for wasting the 10 dollars I paid for them.

On February 28 I went back to the computer store. They didn't have the 3 pack which I had bought on sale so I bought a single jumbo can of Dust Off. I went home and set it down beside my computer.

On March 1st, I left for work at 10 PM. Just before midnight my wife went down and kissed Kyle goodnight. At 5:30 amthe next morning Kathy went downstairs to wake Kyle up for school, before she left for work. He was propped up in bed with his legs crossed and his head leaning over. She called to him a few times to get up. He didn't move. He would sometimes tease her like this and pretend he fell back asleep. He was never easy to get up. She went in and shook his arm. He fell over. He was pale white and had the straw from the Dust Off can coming out of his mouth. He had the new can of Dust Off in his hands. Kyle was dead.

I am a police officer and I had never heard of this. My wife is a nurse and she had never heard of this. We later found out from the coroner, after the autopsy, that only the propellant from the can of Dust off was in his system. No other drugs. Kyle had died between midnight and 1 AM.

I found out that using Dust Off is being done mostly by kids ages 9 through 15. They even have a name for it. It's called dusting. A take off from the Dust Off name. It gives them a slight high for about 10 seconds. It makes them dizzy. A boy who lives down the street from us showed Kyle how to do this about a month before. Kyle showed his best friend. Told him it was cool and it couldn't hurt you. It's just compressed air. It can't hurt you. His best friend < /FONT>said so.

Kyle was wrong. It's not just compressed air . It also contains a propellant called R2. It's a refrigerant like what is used in your refrigerator. It is a heavy gas. Heavier than air. When you inhale it, it fills your lungs and keeps the good air, with oxygen, out. That's why you feel dizzy, buzzed. It decreases the oxygen to your brain, to your heart. IT KILLS YOU.

The horrible part about this is there is no warning. There is no level that kills you. It's not cumulative or an overdose; it can jus t go randomly, terribly wrong. IT'S NOT AN OVERDOSE . You don't die later. Or not feel good and say I've had too much. You usually die as you're breathing it in. If not you die within 2 seconds of finishing 'the hit.' That 's why the straw was still in Kyle's mouth when he died. Why his eyes were still open. The experts want to call this huffing. The kids don't believe its huffing. And that's why its more accepted. There is no chemical reaction, no strong odor. It doesn't follow the huffing signals. Kyle complained a few days before he died of his tongue hurting. It probably did. The propellant causes frostbite. If I had only known.

It's easy to say hey, it's my life and I'll do what I want . But it isn 't. Others are always affected. This has forever changed our family's life. I have a hole in my heart and soul that can nev er be fixed. The pain is so immense I can't describe it.There's nowhere to run from it. I cry all the time and I don't ever cry. I do what I'm supposed to do but I don't really care. My kids are messed up. One won't talk about it. The other will only sleep in our room at night. And my wife, I can't even describe how bad she is taking this. I thought we were safe because of Thor. I thought we were safe because we knew about drugs and talked to o ur kids about them.

After Kyle died another story came out. A probation Officer went to the school system next to ours to speak with a student. While there he found a student using Dust Off in the bathroom. This student told him about another student who also had some in his locker. This is a rather affluent school system. They will tell you they don't have a drug problem there. They don't even have a dare or plus program there. So rather than tell everyone about this 'new' way of getting high they found, they hid it. The probation officer told the media after Kyle's death and they, the school, then admitted to it. I know that if they would have told the media and I had heard, it wouldn't have been in my house.

We need to get this out of our homes and school computer labs. Using Dust Off isn't new and some 'professionals' do kno w about. It just isn't talked
about much, except by the kids. They all seem to know about it. April 2 nd was 1 month since Kyle died. April 5th would have been his 15th birthday. And every weekday I catch myself sitting on the living room couch at 2:30 in the afternoon and waiting to see him get off the bus

I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE AND CAN HAPPEN, THEN AGAIN MAYBE. THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE RECIEVED THIS AS AN E-MAIL

Cell phone info A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home.

Just at that time a call Came in and he answered it with the
Instrument still connected to the outlet.

After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud.

His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers.

He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cell phones are a very useful modern invention.

However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.

Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!

FORWARD THIS TO THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER IN YOUR LIFE!!!!

NEW RAPE SCAM!!!!PLEASE READ!!!!!

Please pass on to all your girlfriends, wives, etc. Just to be on the
safe side. Please be aware and pass it on to anyone you think this will
help.
This was passed on to me by a friend:

&g t; Sunday afternoon around 5 PM I headed into the Target in Wheaton , IL
where crime is VERY RARE and mostly it is with bikes being stolen!!

It was still light outside and I parked fairly close to the entrance.
As I got out of my car and began walking towardsTarget, an older lady
shouted to me from the passenger seat of a car about 30 feet away from me.

"Ma'am you must help me, help me please, help me Ma'am!" I looked at
her in the eyes and started to walk towards her when all of a sudden I
remembered an email my Mom had sent me a week or two ago about rapists and
abductions using elder people to lure women in.

I paused, memorized the license plate and immediately headed into
Target to get a manager to come help this lady, just in case something was
up.
While th e woman manager headed out there, I kept a close watch just
because I was curious what was wrong with the lady and wanted to be sure nothing happened.

As the Target lady walked up towards the car and got very close to
the old woman in order to help her, the back door of the car flies open and a
large man with a stocking cap on, jumps out and sticks a gun to the lady's
stomach as he shoves her into the back of the car.

I yelled out "call 911" several times and just as I was saying that,
a policeman who happened to be on the other side of the parking lot! And
who, luckily had seen the entire thing happen, raced over to the car.

He was able to stop the car and arrest the male as well as the old
lady, who was involved in the scheme.

By God's grace everyone was all right, including myself, although I
think we were both shaken up.

Like many of you, I would not in a million years have left an elderly
person who was yelling for help if it weren't for the e-mail I had read
last week. So, I wanted to pass this along so you all can be aware and remember
that you really can't trust anyone these days.

You just never know when something like this could happen. I would
have never dreamed it to happen to me especially on a Sunday afternoon at a
Target in a safe area!

It definitely was not a coincidence that my Mom sent that email just
a few days before this all happened. Please, be careful and always be aware
of ; your surroundings.

Just because you individually don't go over to help someone doesn't
mean you have to leave them in trouble, but don't go ALONE, you really
don't know what might be going on.

I checked with Snopes.com - this is true - and they
Also use children to lure the victim

The stamp going up again, to .42$.

I thought the understanding was there would be a stamp that is called "forever stamp" and regardless of the cost of the stamp would only be one price.

Please if I am wrong please correct me.

So, now that the stamp is going up to .42$ will we have to pay the .42$ for the "forever stamp" or get it at the price of what it is now?

Does these questions and statements make any sense?

Gas prices going up,

food prices going up; milk, bread, even save-a-lot prices went up.

Everything going up, except our paychecks.

When does it stop?

Thanks for letting me vent.

Kind Regards,

Hillbilly

The Loving Case Loving v. Virginia was an important Supreme Court case, but it was also the story of a real couple.

Mildred Jeter and Richard Loving grew up in Caroline County, Virginia. They fell in love and decided to get married. Unfortunately, getting married was not as simple in 1958 as it was today. Mildred was black and Richard was white.

There were laws that forbade people of different races to marry each other. This was true in many states, including Mildred and Richard's home state of Virginia.

However, interracial marriage was legal in Washington, DC at that time. Therefore, they decided to drive to DC, get married, and return to Virginia to begin their life together. This proved to be a short term solution.

The law in Virginia not only forbade interracial marriage ceremonies, but it also forbade interracial couples from getting married elsewhere and returning to Virginia. One night, while they were asleep, the newly-married Lovings were awakened by the police in their bedroom. The Lovings were taken to jail for the crime of being married.

When they went to trial, the judge found them guilty and sentenced them to a jail term of one to three years. However, the judge told the Lovings that he would suspend the sentence if they agreed to leave Virginia for a period of twenty five years. Given the choice between imprisonment and banishment, they chose banishment.

The Lovings moved to Washington, DC. The Lovings were able to live together legally in Washington, but they did not have an easy time. They faced discrimination everywhere. They were not able to rent property in most parts of the city, and they were often the target of racist taunting. Also, they were facing the emotional hardship of separation from their families. Life was both difficult and unpleasant for the Lovings in Washington. They were having difficulty supporting their children. In desperation, Mildred sent a letter to Robert F. Kennedy, Attorney General of the United States.

Mildred's letter was forwarded from the Attorney General's office to the offices of the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) in New York. They took interest in the Loving's case and helped them find an attorney. Two lawyers, Bernard S. Cohen and Philip J. Hirschkop, also felt that the Lovings were entitled to be married and to live in the state of their choice. They agreed to work on the Loving's case for free.

Their case went through many levels of the justice system and their appeal was denied every time. Eventually their case appeared before the United States Supreme Court. The Court decided unanimously in their favor. Finally, after nine years of struggle, the Loving won the right to live together as husband and wife in their home state. In the words of Chief Justice Earl Warren, "Under our Constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides within the individual and cannot be infringed on by the State."

The Loving's case not only won them their freedom to love, but it also granted the same freedom to every interracial couple in every state in America.

At the time of the Loving decision, sixteen states from Delaware to Texas had laws banning interracial couples. Loving v. Virginia (1967) made it illegal for these states to enforce those laws.

This ended a long era of laws that were enforced in forty-two states over the course of American history. These laws did not only apply to black people and white people; many states also restricted relationships with Asians, Native Americans, Indians, Hispanics, and other ethnic groups.

The freedom to love is something most of us take for granted. Like many other freedoms, the right for interracial couples to be together was fought for and won as a part of our civil rights. Many people see this as the longest-lasting part of the legal segregation that used to rule our nation. The Lovings, like Rosa Parks, played an important role in freeing us from laws that punished people for no other reason than the color of their skin.

I saw this on the Oprah show Monday while she was celebrating Martin Luther King's day.  I thought this was amazing story, because this applies to my family.  My husband is black and I am white.  We have a biracial son who is 21yrs old.

I only faced a few racial situtations with the 23yrs I have been with my husband.  I have faced this head on with my own family.  My father, who chose not to meet my husband for years, due to his color.  When, my father did finally meet my husband, my dad said to me,"your husband is a wonderful man."  I looked him straight in the eye and said, "I know he is."

My husband is loved by many people.  They judge him for his character and not by his color.  When I look at my husband I do not see color.  I see a man who I fell deeply in love with 23yrs ago and a wonderful father who loves his son with EVERY  piece of his body.  My husband made a life for us and worked hard at and still does.

I wish what Martin Luther King wanted many years ago to really come through for all colors of the nation.  Yes, in some cases america has come a long way, yet there are still most people (I say most because that means more than 50% of the population) is not where we should be.  People still judge blacks for their color.  The black race is against their own race, white's againist their own race, etc.....  God did not put us here on earth to fight with one another.  He put us here to live and love one another.  He made us in his image.

WE need to love one another the way God wants us to.

Thanks to the Loving Case that my husband and I can be married and live our lives the way we want to and our child can live without fear of being killed, beaten or just because.

Kind REgards,

Hillbilly

I'm an attorney, And I know the law. This thing is for real. Rest assured AOL and Intel will follow through with their promises for fear of facing a multimillion-dollar class action suit similar to the one filed by PepsiCo against General Electric not too long ago.

Dear Friends:

Please do not take this for a junk letter. Bill Gates sharing his fortune. If you ignore this, You will repent  later. Microsoft and AOL are now the largest Internet companies  and in an effort to make sure that Internet Explorer remains the most widely used program, Microsoft and AOL are running an e-mail beta test When you forwa rd this e-mail to friends, Microsoft can and will track it (If you are a Microsoft Windows user) for a two week time period.

For every person that you forward this e-mail to, Microsoft will pay you $245.00 For every person that you sent it to that forwards it on, Microsoft will pay you $243.00 and for every third person that receives it, You will be paid $241.00. Charles S Bailey General Manager Field Operations 1-800-842-2332 Ext. 1085 or 904-1085 or RNX 292-1085 Thought this was a scam myself, But two weeks after receiving this e-mail and forwarding it on. Microsoft contacted me for my address and within days, I received a check for $24, 800.00. You need to respond  before the beta testing is over. If anyone can afford this, Bill gates  is the man.

It's all marketing expense to him. Please forward this to as many people as possible. You are bound to get at least $10, 000.00 We're not going to help them out with their e-mail beta test without getting a little something for our time. My brother's girlfriend got in on this a few months ago. When I went to visit him for the Baylor/UT game, she showed me her check. It was for the sum of $4,324.44 and was stamped 'Paid In Full'.

I FOUND SOMEONE'S CHECKBOOK YESTERDAY.

I went to my local store yesterday and I pulled into the parking spot.  Well, I always look when I pull in on the ground for glass, sharp objects, just a habit.

Well I saw a black wallet.  I pulled up and when I got out of the car I reached under the car and pulled it out.  I opened it up and saw the name and the address on the checks.  I had seen no ID.

I thought well they live on the way home.  Or do I go to the police station?  I thought this person could be going crazy right now looking for their checkbook.  Or maybe they have no idea they lost it. Do I take the chance and go to their home and give it back?  What if they want my name and then accuse me of writing a check on their account or stealing from them?  You never know these days.

Well, I decided to go to their home.  I pulled up and this young lady answered the door.  I asked, their last name, if this was their home? She said yes.  I said I found this in the parking lot of the store.  She is like "oh my gosh, I dropped this from my purse."  She had no idea she dropped it. Her husband came to the door and she turned and looked at him and told him the story.  She looked at me and said "there are still honest people in this world. I still can believe."  I said  "you don't me from a hill of beans.  I have lived here all my life and I am a honest and practicing christian.  I am doing what God has told me to do."   She just looked at me and the same with her husband.  And told me many thanks.

I could hear a little baby in the background crying.  They have a lovely home.  I said anyone could and try and take it away in any minute. Because her checkbook was on the ground and they did not return it or give it to the police.

I told them the story of me losing my wallet, everything I had it in, pics, all of my ID's, credit cards, money.  I was so upset that I lost my wallet.  I went to the police station to make my report and when I was  filing out the paperwork the dispatcher buzzed for  the sgt. to come to the front.  He came back for me and here was this man who found my wallet in the store and brought it right to the police station.  I was so happy!!!!

So, I know what it is like to lose your valuables and be sick about it.  Today we do not have enough honest people in this world.  Then, you may never know until you are in that situtation.

I just thought I would share this with you. I am not looking for a pat on the back.  I am only doing God's work.  I totally honestly believe that.  So, maybe someone reading this would think and do the same thing if they found something that belonged to someone else.

God bless you all.

Kind Regards,

Hillbilly

I recieved this as an e-mail today.  I am sure you have seen this before.  You can go to website www.snopes.com to get the information also.

Who is Barack Obama?

Very interesting and something that should be considered in your choice. If you do not ever forward anything else, please forward this to all your contacts... this is very scary to think of what lies ahead of us here in our own United States... better heed this and pray about it and share it. We checked this out on 'snopes.com'.

It is factual. Check for yourself. Who is Barack Obama? Probable U.S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was s born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita, Kansas. Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii.

When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, 'He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school.' Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that he is not a radical.

Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta.

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.

ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran. Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegiance nor will he show any reverence for our flag. While others place their hands over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy. The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!! Please forward to everyone you know. Would you want this man leading our country?...... NOT ME!!!

Here we go again with a parent killing there kids!!

My heart is so sick to type this.  Just on the news a father in AL throws, his four children from the age four years old to four months old,  them off the bridge!!!!  My heart is sick....

Just because he was fighting with his wife for two days.  He first told the story some woman took his kids.  He has a history of drug abuse is what Bill Martin stated.  I am sure more will come out later.  Those poor kids had know idea why they were being thrown into the water.

Why didn't this father just give these kids to someone else?  OH my gosh.  What does one say.?

The authorities still have not found the bodies of the children.

This mother is going to need so much support.  God bless this family.

A very sad story on the news tonight.

A young man, who was on leave from the service, came home to see his family and friends was doing nothing wrong at a bus stop on 71st and Superior.  From the story the young man was waiting for the bus and I believe his sister was with him, do not quote me.  A robber came up to him and asked for money and he did not have any.

This young man signed up for the service to protect our country and he would have a much more serious fight on his hands being in Iraq.  Yet, he is home to enjoy his family and he is gunned down by some creap who wanted to rob him for some little amount money, so he can get a quick fix.  Now, this young man is fighting for his life by a gun shot to the head.  By some thug.  Who did not care who he was going after.

The aunt said her nephew is fighting for his life and possible be paralized on his left side for the rest of his life.

What is happening to our world?  Why so many killings?  What is wrong with people getting a job and making their own money? For goodness sake, get a job at McDonald's making $7.50 an hour.  Are they above and beyond that?

I do not remember this young man's name or the aunt.  I want to give them my deepest sympathy and wish him a good recovery and hope he does not suffer too much.  I will pray for the family to give them strength and encouragement to get through this tough time in their lives.

I hope this thug who shot him will get his one day and hope that none of his family members ever have to go through what he did to that young man. He has a long time of recovery.

God bless your family in the this suffering time.
