Some Thoughts for the New Year:

Probably no other complaint is voiced more often than not having enough time.

"I don't have time to pursue my dreams or to even know what my dreams are. I don't have time for me, for my family or friends. Basically, I don't have time to live my life."

PASSION is the ultimate time management tool for 2 reasons. First, when you are doing what you love, who cares about time? When you are with someone special, or listening to a great piece of music, or painting, or volunteering, doesn't time fly by? Second, when you are doing what you love, if often gets done faster.

The way we spend our time is the way we spend our lives. Can you slow down enough to get "in synch" with Life, Nature, and most importantly, Yourself? Tune in to your rhythm and natural pulse. Take off your watch and give yourself a day off from time. Eat only when you're hungry and sleep only when you're tired - so you can discover who you are, what you need and what works best for you.

Make a date with yourself, every day if possible. Even if for only a half an hour, carving out time for yourself is a great act of generosity, to you, your family and your job. Your work can usually wait a half hour, but your spirit can't!

Whether we like it or not, the clock keeps ticking - so live fully - every second of every day. Learn the true joy of doing less and having more as you experience each day as priceless. Fill your life with as many precious moments and experiences of joy as you humanly can.

When you "catch yourself in the act" of doing something that doesn't serve you, you can choose to change it, thereby literally changing your life!

"Rest is not Idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a Summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time!"            John Lubbock

""Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn."    Elizabeth Lawrence

If you can`t find the time to do it right the first time, when are you going to find the time to do it over ?

How many times during work do you think of the things that make you happy??? I can say alot for me...

The best part of the seasons, and the best part of the day???
for me spring and summer mornings, a cup of coffee and a view of my yard, the birds I see, the critters I feed, and my wife by my side, the trees, the grass, my pond, the fish splashing, the sound of frogs, just the beauty of nature.

Just stop, look, and listen, and you will know what I mean.

and the pleasure I get viewing girscout's pictures, she brings the world alive with them.

that was trutly inspiring. when was the last time we stopped, and just took time to be a kid again. to stop & play and smell the flowers,or enjoy a smile from an elderly person, the wag of a tail from a dog. or to discover your self again, for time has a way of changing us almost with out our knowing it. this was a piece of art - nicely done girlscout.

I can only say that I don't ever take any time for granted anymore after nearly losing my husband to a severe brain injury in May of 07. I try extra hard now to live each day to the fullest and live it the best I can because you never know when it may be snatched away from you. Very profound Girlscout good for you.

Everyday is special in it's own way and what we make of it our own decision. My daughter wasn't supposed to make it and when she came out strong and healthy I knew I was blessed so now I take my time with everyday so that I can enjoy every minute that I can with her. Unfortunatly it takes something tragic or almost tragic to open our eyes to what is really important and cause us to slow down to enjoy the little things.

Ricky stop being so negative. That's part of the problem, we focus on the negative to much and not on the positive. Sometimes I think people are happier when they can complain and put others down.

LIFE is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out and proclaiming, "WOW - WHAT A RIDE"!!!!!
