Okay, I've been trying to understand each candidate's "promises" for Presidency.  However, I'm really stumped on one issue and maybe you Obama supporters can enlighten me.  What change, exactly, is this man talking about?  I mean, what CHANGES does this man keep talking about which can benefit the U.S.?  So far, I see NO benefits and all I keep hearing is "Vote Obama for Change" but I never really hear from any of you as far as what CHANGES provoke your support!

Universal healthcare?  I don't see a change for the better!  I don't believe in it (sorry) and especially if I'm expected as a middle-class working citizen, to give others a free ride while I work so hard each day.

Raising taxes to send overseas?  How does that benefit us?  I mean, don't we have our own issues right here that need attention?

Education - I don't see anything he has said which will benefit our declining educational system.

What about gas?  A temporary cut?  Won't work!  The cut is only in the taxes, but these companies will continue to raise their prices to make up for it.  And, why is it temporary?  Why not do something permanent?

Going "Green" - well, that's all fine and dandy if the man can lower the cost to do so.  Right now, I think going green costs way too much and if he feels that it would better benefit this country, why wouldn't he do something to control the pricing?

These are just a few of my questions.  So far, the only "change" I see benefits either the ones who refuse to work, other countries, or the gas companies and research companies for what I see as a total gimmick!

I'd love to hear from some of you who fully support Obama in detail.  I mean, FULL detail as to WHY you feel he's the man for the office.  I'm tired of hearing "because he's about change."  Please elaborate!

good morning cleve! nice to see you again!

sadly, you are wasting your time. none of the obamaites have any answers for you. all they will do is worship him blindly & then call you a racist when you don't.

i have asked these sames questions here, there & everywhere many times and not ONE of them had REAL answers.

btw, the exodus from the "cult" has begun. many many of his blind worshipers are opening their eyes & seeing this fraud for just what he is. an empty suit with pretty speeches & nothing else.

it will be interesting to see if you get any response from the "cult", & if you do, it will be the same rhetoric.

Universal healthcare, Lets see, It will be controlled by the Government, If you can afford it you will pay for it, If you can't afford it then the people who can afford it will also pay for you, We don't have free healthcare anywere in the world and we can't just print money when the bill comes.... this is Universal healthcare.

Gas, sorry to say it, but it's not going down, and it's not going to stop going up, if you watch C-SPAN you will understand why, The Denocrats want the prices to go high, thats how they are fighting global warming.

Well, I guess it`s up to me. Yes, there is an exodus from the cult, but it`s the Bush cult. Even John McCain doesn`t want to be associated with that one. I am not a fervent supporter but our` 2 party system has us in the position that we either accept 4 more years of the quagmire we are stuck in, or roll the dice and hope for a break for the American working man. That`s the best explanation I can offer.

well, casey, your explanation certainly doesn't answer my specific question. What, exactly, does Obama think he's going to "change" to make life better here in the U.S.? I want specifics as to why you people are so taken with this man who only talks "change," but doesn't really state what his idea of "change" is. Once again, your answer is like all of your others - just some way to meander a way in to bash Bush because you have such a hard on for this man.

casey, I think we all are stuck in a catch 22.

You only have to ask yourself one question, will you vote with your heart or your brain??

I would have to say keep your beliefs in order and what you stand for, stay on track and vote for who has the same issues as you or the closest.
McCain may be old but he is still alive and ticking and he is going to give a good fight, I don't think he will be the same as President Bush.

Obama has some good points, I'm just having a problem with the Muslim issue, is he or isn't he???? one will never know.

I will wait for the race to start, to see if anymore dirt airs.

Do you REALLY think Obama is for the working man? I mean, the regular, middle-class hard working individual? I don't think he's for us, I think he's USING us with some of his ideals. After all, the working class person IS the one holding this country together and paying out the wazoo in taxes to support those who do not wish to better their lives and are content to live a free ride. Oh, and don't forget that the working class ALSO seems to pay for situations in other countries in one fashion or another.

Yes, the working class is the backbone of our` society. But during the last 8 years they have had nothing but heartache. They have been exploited, manipulated, and lied to, from both sides of the aisle. So what kind of a choice does that leave us at the polls ? Do we believe John McCain, after finding out what he did to the Native Americans ? Or do we believe Barack Obama on his` promise of change ? Another indicator may be who will they choose as running mates ? America faces a " damned if you do, and damned if you don`t" election.

What changes is Obama talking about? The only change that I hear is higher taxes. If I sell my house I will have to pay 50 percent to the government under Obamas plan, why.

He is talking about squandering billions if not trillions of tax dollars on useless wars and rebuilding these 3rd world oil-rich nations that we tear up. He is talking about the citizens having a voice in government again. He`s talking about protecting our` working class from big-business predators. He`s talking about restoring the respectability of the United States of America in the eyes of the world. He`s talking about looking up to, trusting, and respecting your` president once again. He has his` work cut out for him.

casey, yes he is talking, but that's all he's doing.

he talks, the blind followers believe & then he falls in line with "politics as usual".

it's all talk & nothing more.

I hear ya` Mrrick. You conservatives ARE consistant in your` beliefs. that`s what bothers me. When things come up to prove your` beliefs wrong, you`re still in denial. Bottom line, I don`t believe what you believe. I respectfully decline your` invitation. Thanks, but no thanks.

You know, dprin, I was thinking the same thing. I asked for a detailed explanation from these Obama supporters as to why they are so for him and what his "change" is about and got absolutely nothing! That sure shows me that none of these people can explain WHY they are so for him other than the fact that they all seem to be going with the flow of the prince of media's followers!

cleve, i been there. i've asked repeatedly as well. not just here, but in other place too.

i either got NO answers, or got more of the rhetoric from obama's playbook.

there's still 4 months until election day though, and the star over the "messiah's" head keeps dimming daily........lol

i got one for ya cleve........here's something to chew on LOL

Money Talks

Barack Obama has vowed to make equal pay for women a priority if elected president and even told supporters in New Mexico last week, "McCain is an honorable man... but when you look at our records and our plans on issues that matter to working women, the choice could not be clearer. It starts with equal pay."

But Cybercast News cites a report from the secretary of the Senate which says women working in Obama's Senate office were paid, on average, about $6,000 less than men. And, of the five people in Obama's office who earn more than $100,000 a year, only one is a woman.

But in John McCain's Senate office, the average pay for women is $2,500 more than men.

hmmmmmmmmmmm he SAYS he's for equal pay for women...........but yet, the women who work for HIM don't get equal pay.........all empty promises in a nice suit LMAO he's so stupid that he has no clue what he is saying most of the time. pander & lie and sadly, i don't even think he KNOWS the truth.

pathological liars get like that, even THEY believe their own lies after awhile.
