I just read the following news article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I sure hope it isn't gonna happen, but I guess it will. Earlier I had read that Rick Edlund and Karen Shipman have both been let go.
TV TALK: About 30 people are expected to lose their jobs today
between KTVI-TV (Channel 2) and KPLR-TV (Channel 11) as the stations
combine newsrooms and share services. Spencer Koch, GM of KTVI, said today that once the dust settles he will be in charge of both stations. Koch
was at KPLR's offices near Page Avenue and Lindbergh, where he said he
was trying to help the human relations department handle the firings. Bill Lanesey, who was VP and GM of KPLR until about a week ago, has been named GM of the FOX affiliate in Cincinnati, Koch added. Koch declined to say whether any more on-air personalities will be let go, but said that Audrey Prywitch, who currently heads the news at KTVI, will take over that responsibility at both stations. Sheldon Ripson
who was the news director at KPLR has been fired. Koch also confirmed
that the combined stations will be headquartered at the KPLR studios,
and that KTVI will vacate their offices on Berthold Avenue in St. Louis
despite Mayor Francis Slay's efforts to keep them there.
In my personal opinion, I think they need to keep the station at Berthold, at least its centered in the city. There are enough TV news stations close to town now.

What the heck is going on with our justice system. This so-called mother watches her boyfriend drown her 3 children, and gets out on parole after less than 5 years of a 10 year conviction.
DWIGHT, Ill. -- A central Illinois woman convicted in the drowning deaths of her three children is free on parole.
Illinois Department of Corrections spokesman Derek Schnapp says Amanda Hamm left the Dwight Correctional Center just after 9 a.m. Dwight is 55 miles northeast of Bloomington.
Hamm was convicted of child endangerment in 2006 in the deaths of 6-year-old Christopher Hamm, 3-year-old Austin Brown and 23-month-old Kyleigh Hamm. She served almost five years of a 10-year-sentence.
Hamm got credit for the time she served in jail while she was awaiting trial.
Hamm's boyfriend, Maurice LaGrone Jr., is serving a life sentence after being convicted of first-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Hamm and LaGrone plotted to drown the children in Clinton Lake. They claimed the deaths on Sept. 2, 2003, were accidental.
In February 2007, DeWitt County Judge Stephen H. Peters sentenced Hamm to 10 years. With time served -- she had already been in jail for three years -- and standard time off for good behavior, the judge knew that she would probably be paroled within 14 months, according to her lawyer.
The prison sentence drew considerable outrage. The father of one of the dead children shouted an obscenity and stormed out of the DeWitt County Courthouse just moments after the sentence was announced. The father of another of the children bitterly dismissed Hamm's tearful plea for mercy at the sentencing hearing as an attempt to "save her own ass" after failing to save her children.
Hamm stood by while her boyfriend drowned her three children.

This blog is dedicated to my late wife Debra, who passed away 1 year ago Aug.29, 2007. Debra was a lung transplant recipient who was doing so well, then when she was due to celebrate her 5th year as a recipient, she went into total lung rejection.
If anyone out in Blog Land would like to put pics of their late loved ones, be my guest. I will be having another blog in Sept., to celebrate Debra's birthday.
Inside the blog, I will have several pics of Debra celebrating her life after her transplant.
She wanted to live like she never lived before.

As I read Mr_Wild's blog about his dad's passing, I was thinking that it would be nice if FOX2 had a category for people who have lossed a loved one, whether it's a family member or close friend.
FOX could title it... In Loving Memory
It could also be used to remember a loved one's birthday or any special occasion one would like to remember and share with others.
It's just a thought and I was wondering what others in the blogging community thought of it.
The first anniversary of Deb's passing is coming up and also her birthday : and I would like to blog about it; and put up pictures of her; but wouldn't want to put it in any of the already offered categories. I know there are a lot of us who have recently lossed loved ones; and I just think 'In Loving Memory' would be a good place to go and remember and share.
Let me know what you all think.

Before I start with the blog, the next time I will hire someone to take notes.
Sue and I left Friday morning to head to Truman and Jeanette's for a fun filled weekend.
Once we arrived in Desloge, we stopped at WalMart to get a few items that would be needed while visiting. We then headed down to Big River to do some fishing. The area we wanted to fish at was too shallow, so we went to see Brenda to find out where some deep water was in the river. She told us to go to Leadwood. So, we did. We fished there for about an hour, and gave up. Not that it was too hot to fish, but the water was no deeper there than the other spot we wanted to fish at. Anyway, we went to Jeanette's, got out the sleeping bag, and rested some under a shade tree till the stupid bugs started to irritate us.
We still had an hour or so before Truman and Jeanette get home from work, so we decided to head to town to kill some time.
Yep, we went back to WalMart. We decided to grab a sub sandwich while we were there to have for supper since I knew Jeanette wouldn't feel like cooking after getting off work.
After we ate, we decided to go to some yard sales. We were about to leave, when Brenda brought Ryan down for a visit. Needless to say, Ryan's visit is more important and fun than going to any yard sale.
After their visit, Jeanette and Sue had to get on the puter to play their games.
While they were doing that, I decided to use the other puter and find out who was on line to chat with. Well, Harp came on, and she asked if we were coming down for the weekend. I advised her that Sue had to work, and that I was waiting for a call to go to work. Of couse she was not happy when she found out that we couldn't come down. Once Jeanette and Sue were done playing their game, we decided to hit the sheets cause saturday was gonna be a busy day.
Saturday morning rolls around and its 6:30 in the morning and yes, Sue is still sleeping. Willie is on line and I chatted with her for a few minutes, then harp decided to chat. So, willie had to sign out cause we did not want Harp to know what we were talking about. While Harp and I were chatting, Jeanette comes on line to chat also. We all chatted for a while, til Harp had to leave to go somewhere. ( Like I said earlier, I need someone to take notes on our trips). Anyway, Saturday afternoon rolls around, and guess who shows up, MARLEY. We chatted some and the we decided to start to get things ready for the fish fry we were gonna have with the fish I brought down.
Truman was gonna try to get off work early and he did. I had just dropped the first batch of fish into the deep fryer when Truman pulls into the driveway. Perfect timing. What a great meal. Besides the fish, we had fried green tomatoes, sliced green peppers, cucumber and onion salad, fried okra, sliced tomatoes, fried sqaush, cole slaw, and sweet corn that Marley brought. ALL the veggies we had, were grown in our gardens. NOTHING store bought except for the cole slaw. The fish are the ones that we caught at the lake. (Sorry Mr_Wild, maybe next time).
After we all ate, we all decided to head to town. Yeppers, WalMart AGAIN!!
This time, I got Sue a swim suit for when we go swimming.
Truman picked up a new saw, Jeanette got a couple of clothing items, and Marley got nothing, which is a shock.
We then headed back to the ranch, and yep, Jeanette, Sue and Marley decided to play games on the puter.
Couldn't believe that Sue was still awake at midnite.
We get up Sunday morning to a cloudy hazy sky. I think it was like 80 degrees at 8 am.
We had some breakfast, then headed to Farmington to get things ready for Harp's party.
We get to CiCi's around 11am or so. We had to get the party room ready. While doing that, I looked outside and saw that Danny, Jana, Misty, Mike, baby Kyle, Stephan and Catalina all showed up. I went out to get some pics, and Sue followed. We were all inside the party room when I noticed that Willie was at the counter. So, Jeanette and Truman went to meet her. They paid for their food, and we can hear Willie tell Harp to go into the party room, and she said no, cause it was for parties only. Willie told Harp to go in any way, and she did. You should have seen the look on Harp's face when she walked in. Boy, was she surprised.
The pics will tell the story. Hopefully this blog isn't tooooo long.
P.S.
Rosie, this party was on a SUNDAY, WHERE WERE YOU????
