Last Thursday night I attended the Life Rolls On fundraiser, at the Paul G. Gleason theatre 6520 Hollywood Blvd. I had the pleasure of meeting stage and screen actor Paul G. Gleason, who is also the owner. Mr. Gleason is one of those rare 'do-gooder' types, and is known around town for his philanthropy and good will.

Mr. Gleason hosted three bands, "Displaced People," "The Aaron David Gleason Band," and "The Keaton Simons Band," to raise money for the Life Rolls On Foundation.

Life rolls On (LRO is a non-profit 501(c)3) Foundation that exists to be a grass roots resource and an advocate on behalf of young people who have sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI). Life Rolls On instilling in people that life with SCI does indeed roll on.

Life Rolls On is comprised, in part, of former professional athletes, like motocross star Rickey James, & Aaron baker, and pro. surfer Jesse Billauer, who sustained life- changing spinal cord injuries due to their sport.

Displaced People displayed their usual professional poise and perfection. Lead singer Michal Hoffman's vocal tone and harmonic brilliance shined as she sung "crying in my head." In addition , sister Liat Hoffman 'cracked the crystal,' and hit the high notes in "Faded Girl."

The lead singer in the Aaron David Gleason Band is the son of owner Paul G. Gleason. Their music exudes a strong sense of Alt/R&B/Pop, and is storming onto the music scene. Aaron belted out some serious tunes while playing keyboards. Moreover, the crowd went crazy and the girls swooned the band after the last song.

The Keaton Simons Band was the last band of the evening. Were they saving the best for last? Their unique style of rock/blues/pop songs 'raised the roof' till midnight. They were great! I thought the fire dept. might be called due to occupancy limits. The overflow crowd danced to the music, on the sidewalk, outside on Hwd. Blvd.
Needless to say the old cliche'...a good time was had by all.

The only thing I want to know about the Kardashian's is what Robert Kardashian did with O.J. Simpsons suitcase, which he put in the trunk of his car on national television. I believe all of the Kardashian's are cursed due to their fathers indiscretions.
Other than that...I feel for Bruce Jenner and wish them success in their new series "Keeping up with the Kardashian's.
