BOBBY D'S BLOG

Our country seems to be mesmerized by the primary elections, especially the fight for the Democratic nomination. Perhaps inspired by the notion we may soon have the nation's first African-American or Woman president, Americans seem to be following the campaigns more than ever before.

It's the ultimate reality show, and the networks are raking in huge profits. Someone cleverly dubbed the Texas and Ohio primaries "Super Tuesday II, " everyone ran with that title, and it captured larger audiences than the "first" Super Tuesday. Hillary won the two states, and now she's "the Comeback Kid."

Funny thing is, this was the Clinton strategy all along. After Super Tuesday, her campaign admitted they would look forward to March 4--knowing they would probably lose most of the states in-between. But in the weeks leading up to Super Tuesday Deux, pundits seemed so surprised when Barack Obama won 11 states. And now, they're neck and neck. It may not be settled until the Democratic Convention in August. Months more coverage and more money for the networks.

I'm a political junkie, and I have to admit, I don't mind all the hype--- I'm addicted. Are you enjoying the coverage? Or are you ready for this to be over already?!

Bobby D.

P.S. Many thanks to all of you who sent me nice note after filling in for Steve this week on Good Day LA. It was a blast!

Bobby D...great job doing sports Friday. You looked like a pro at home plate.

My question for you is that do you think the media has started to be a little tougher on Barack? I'm thinking that the treatment they got on SNL might have encouraged them to change the way they dealt with him.

Bobby D!

Great job all this week...gotta show Mark Thompson some of your moves so when he fills in for Maria Quiban, he'll have some new moves to groove with! As for the politics, I take it you heard about what Rush Limbaugh urged his listeners to do, and how he is taking credit for what happened in Texas and Ohio. I did a 2 part blog, and got some responses from the bloggers on the MyFoxCleveland site (My sincerist condolences to the Obama Camp). Part 2 is the real clincher, and maybe even a bit comical.

Oh yes, nice swing at bat today!

(SALUTE)

(Lieutenant) DeCastro:

Hello, Sir.

I'm glad things are going good for you. You deserve it.

I hope you like the YouTube I picked out for you. Not sure if you're aware of that TV series that came out in the 1960's, but it was hot!!!

Love the Theme Music. I think it fits you. Well, in my mind anyway. The series was a hit in Europe and the Theme Music was as well.

MAJESTIC!!!!

IT HAS THAT TONE OF MILITARY AUTHORITY!!!

I CHOSE IT OUT OF A STRONG FEELING OF RESPECT AND REVERENCE FOR YOUR MILITARY BACKGROUND.

bobby d, YOU DA MAN, BRO!!!

chat later.

hey guys!

To answer some of your questions:

ddain: I think it's been easier for the media to go after Hillary cause she has a much longer voting record and history. I think the media following Obama are reporting what they see-- huge, energized crowds. And up to now, Obama has been pretty good about answering questions quickly and deflecting attacks. He probably needs to do that, he's built his campaign on transparency.

mystere: I think a lot of conservative pundits are trying to take credit for Clinton's win in Texas. At the end of the day... not sure if those votes really made a difference.

Thank you again for all of your kind words! I have to tell you, the whole crew at Good Day LA made me feel comfortable sitting up there in Steve's chair. Dorothy and Jill were awesome and fun! The producers, director, the crew behind the scenes, and our wacky camera crew were all great. What's so cool about this show is... what you see is what you get. Honestly, what you see on t.v. is genuine. If everyone disliked each other you would see it. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I've had enough of politics - this coming from someone who hasn't missed any opportunity to vote in 28 years. I suppose I just keep seeing that same thing over and over again occurring. Different faces but the same promises. They'll spit in your face and tell you it's raining. This election I have no inkling to vote. I just assume that by NOT casting my vote will validate who I don't want in office.

But knowing who I am,...this will be the first time I'll probably vote for the party and not the person.
