I was just watching a news segment from Houston.

A reporter interviewing a woman, that has one small child in her car, and a baby in her arms. Residents have been told to stay home, if they are there, because of the flooded streets, and Yet she says, she has been out drving all over town looking for gas, though reporters have said that, most stations, are out of gas, or have no power to pump gas. Now why would you just drive aimlessly around, looking for gas(wasting gas as you do), and then say you need help! that it is an emergency! This person ,didn't say she had to get the baby or other child to the doctor , or that she was ill. If it was an emergency, wouldn't you call 911, instead of wasting Your gas?

Then you have the people that were told to leave, decided to stay, then do call 911, during the storm, looking for help. DUH!

Please people, use your brains, and think ahead, prepare the best you can.

Or maybe it is easier to think you can get free help.

I prepared (and I am in Dallas). I filled my tank Friday, and bought beer. Glad I did fill when I did, gas is up 20 cents today, with more increases to come I am sure..........

Stayed in my PJ's all day yesterday, too. I LOVE storms.....(not killer ones, but "good ones"). Can't wait til we get a good thunderstorm in the evening, but I want to be home and comfy (with lit candles) when it happens!
