Just go to www.Kiva.org to find out more.
Kiva it's a nonprofit organization that allows Americans to lend money to people from 3rd world countries so that these people from 3rd world countries can expand their businesses. 100% of the loan is paid back to the lender, you can email back and forth to see how the money is being used, and people in the 3rd world countries from Kiva monitor and check up on the loans. It's a great way to change the life not only of one person but a whole family, community and with people like you a whole country. I found this website through Frontline on PBS.
I just wished that Kiva existed in my country El Salvador because people over there would really benefit from these small loans to create a better life for themselves and family. If anyone knows a way to get it started Kiva involved in other 3rd world countries like Central America. Please let me know.
