K-Ville-

Insulting and more insulting to anyone who is from Louisiana. Even more insulting is that Hollywood can’t find an attractive and good looking African American. They always have to be over weight and sloppy-like Anthony Anderson. Who told Hollywood that an over weight actor with a 2 tone complexion should be used in every part that calls for a black male? Is Hollywood so racist that they pretend that there are only 2 black actors and 3 rappers to cast in every black part?

It’s just another racist brain child of some white producers who want to slant New Orleans and being crime ridden due to the evil-doers-which always appear to be young black makes.

Being from New Orleans there are plenty and plenty of ‘villes” but lets see if they deal with the corruption of the N.O.P.D. Lets see if they deal with the fact that the FBI over the years have had to bust up crime rings of police officers who are responsible for about 50% of the crime in the city. Let’s see if they deal with the racism and even the Klan.

I don’t think so-everything will get scapegoat on the evil young black males and this is more Hollywood propaganda against black male youth. The same ole same ole that comes from Hollywood.

It is getting so old and redundant.

Anyone who knows anything about New Orleans knows the real root reasons of crime and anyone who is trying to rebuild knows that Hollywood being on location is an obstacle to rebuilding.

Hollywood brings pollution, and politics that are often anti-native and racist along with their production.

Plus, I haven’t heard one good thing about the show even though 9 million watched but that was just to see what kind of racist stunts Hollywood was going to pull.

No matter how you spin it-New Orleans was left unbuilt due to Hollywood studios and city officials wanting the ruins and misery of people's lives to act as a backdrop for such shows as K-ville.

Well I spoke to many different people from New Orleans(who had already predicted the racist story lines of this show) plus with a family active in Hollywood and Louisiana politics-the city officials and many countries that have majority black and brown people-place outsiders and Hollywood above the stability and rebuilding of the city. This is also happening in the Dominical Republic. Hollywood is paying off officials to run off thousands of Dominicans to build soundstages. The sound stages for K-ville were built over historic black areas while white areas are untouched.

The reason why many lower income housing was not rebuilt is due to a bill the Mayor of La. signed that would give tax breaks to productions. These productions signed another pact to destroy the homes of tens of thoussands of blacks-that were liveable-all so they could make New Orleans into some white man's play ground.

The New Orleans training programs at UNO (University of New Orleans) didnt train the young black males or females to work as production they brought in untrained white boys from Texas, Alabama and MIssissippi to train them-and this is what Barack Obama was speaking about. So, blacks arent even getting the jobs being brought in by the productions due to racist in Hollywood unions and training programs,

America has had an issue with slim, attractive black males since slavery. This was the issue with Isiah Washington. He was too good looking. Whites love fat black dumb people-on television.

The black image needs to change and to say that whites arent afraid of young, physicaly fit black males is to be in wonder land.

So, we always get these fat, unassuming blacks who whites can feel superior around. Look at how stupid his lines are on the show.

Just hate the way the media portrays people of color. Anyone and I do mean anyone who lives or have lived in New Orleans knows that it is like South Africa. The white minority uses the black cops to terrorize the black majority and keep them a level above slavery. The cops work with the KKK judges and D.A.'s and they keep the blacks in poverty. The only reason why America hates Fidel castro is due to him not wanting to stay in a white-only hotel in New York and instead he went to Harlem. So all the white cubans were brought over and some Hispanics think they are white but to be realistic about America. Black males and blacks along with black-hispanics are targets of the same hate speech and media that Hitler used to kill off 6 million Jews.

Do you remeber the Antionette Franks case-the cops who robbed and killed everyone in the room?? Do you remember the FBI breaking up the KLAN rally of Gretna cops? Do you remeber the cops constantly on their radios saying lets "hand a Nig*ger today" in New Orleans-aka K0ville? Why isnt the network (fox) telling the real story instead of just knocking on blacks?

Dont you see all the news reports where cops just went around on armed possses and shot blacks on sight-remember Danziger bridge incident. They had a field day killing blacks. If it would not have been for Gen. Honefre then the National Guard was ordered by Gov.Blanco and Bush to kill blacks on sight or excuse me "lock and load"

I cant even understand how dumb and late some black people are. I guess they think that Katrina was cuased by a break in the levee and not planned to flood out the black areas to drown blacks and not save whites just like the government did in the 1960's during Hurricane Camille.

Oh So I guess now that just because this is a Fox show that they are scared of anyone who tells the truth about how boring dumb and racist this show really is.

a few corrections by an african american who worked on k-ville in the production dept:

i aint saying it's a good show, cause it aint, and i'm not saying it's realistic or honest, cause it aint that neither.

yohot:
1. there is nothing 'sloppy' about anthony. i watched him run down the street, take after take, in 104 degree weather. never complained, true professional. Plus, cops here can be kinda large- this aint LAPD.

2. i worked on the first 4 episodes and only saw 1 black badguy. the rest were white folks, mostly men. that aint to say TV isn't racist, i'm just saying...

3. I haven't encountered racism on any local productions. I have been on shows where the majority of the crew were black (a good man is hard to find- shot in Baton Rouge) and on many productions were there were alot of people of color. we are also well represented in our union. we also work first before out-of-towners and the majority of the crew on K-ville are locals and not just LA locals, but NO locals.

ABCcity:

4. k-ville isn't filmed in a sound stage. they are renting a warehouse space. there aren't any true soundstages anywhere near NO. And the warehouse is in an industrial part of town that i doubt was ever residential.

as far as the rest of what you all say i don't disagree and you make some very interesting points.

LETS KEEP IT REAL ON WHATS GOING DOWN IN HOLLYHOOD. The reality of Hollywood is often different than the "reel-ality" that studios, network, PR people, Talking heads and actors try and prentend on T.V.-there's racism, sexism, manipulation and violations in America's most glamorous town-in fact it is down right all an illusion. I'm just exposing the truth without fear. Favorite television: South Park, Sopranoes The Cosby Show, Seinfeld, Big Love. Favorite film: Pulp Fiction, School Daze, Harlem Nights, Fame, Mr.&Mrs. Smith, American Beauty, Hell up in Harlem. Favorite Music: Coltrane, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis jr.
