Now that LA is done and I am Finally moving on my Orlando building... the design and land purchase took forever in Lake Mary near the Airport.  But I will be in LA more than Orlando, so I was either going to have a place near the office or Downtown Orlando IF IT IS OK NOW. 

Last I heard was that they had some cool buildings there but are they safe to buy....... I also heard some are filing bankrupt status and worthless...... and CAN you tell me which are the elite buildings I should explore.?

I tell you what...truthguys..I have a nice spare bedroom..you can rent...I am near the airport and I can guaranteed clean sheets; clean room service; phone and internet..and delicious hot meals...what do you say????

Listen, Downtown, I work here..it is beautiful but quite crowded..the traffic is herendous and yes, I also been told those condos (which are very pretty - have gone under foreclosure) if you need an attorney to help you, please contact me and I can make some referral which I think you will be very happy with. I would also suggest look into my area..I am in a perfect location just 20 minutes from the airport BUT AWAY FROM THE HUSSLE AND BUSSLE..of daily life..homes are selling really nice priced...and would make an ideal for future investment. You got my email..feel free to contact me. Besides I think those condos downtown are going for like WAY WAY UP THERE.......I personally don't think you would be happy there..unless you love to party because that's one thing in Downtown you will feel like you are in the City at Night and during the weekends. I am really and truly happy for you..wishing you the best in all your endeavors......be safe. Now you want elite.....DEAR LORD......BALDWIN PARK......is beautiful!!!! If I could, that's where I would be...

heck if you buy close to me...just think of the possibilities..you would have some one..that would keep on eye on your property and help you out....with the cleaning...as you know, my neighbors call me the Cuban Mrs. Kravitz...for helping them .. very nice indeed and closed to the waterford Lakes area..which is really nice..lots of restaurants; movie theatre and just about every store you can think off...SORRY..I GUESS I AM TRULY REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU..........HOORAY!!!

Depending on how much time you're going to be in Orlando, and/or going back and forth, if Candy's Inn, doesn't work for you, lol, you may want to look into a Time Share Program. Right now, that market is wide open, along with a wide variation of negotiating extra time to go with it. There are so many Time Shares in and around Orlando right now for sale, you could actually stay in a couple of different places as you come and go. Glad to hear things are moving along for your company, hope everything works out here as well for you.

A couple reason I picked Lake mary and the Sanford airport site. I have that Biz jet so I planned to fly in from LA at times and then get a house near the land all over that area. I have a house in the Flyin in daytona beach, but I am sick of daytona so might sell that house. trouble is that it is too large and too expensive so not sure it will sell. Estate homes are immune to this housing downturn but not too many people in Daytona can afford it.

But anyway, thanks for the help..maybe that is what I heard, the foreclosures of the entire building.

Thanks YBS... but Time Shares not a good concept for me and actually am amazed that they are still sold.

All this is just an idea. I just hate driving and hate to drive to the night life in Orlando from Lake Mary. After 43 years in Central Florida, I think I might just stay at a hotel when I visit. But the office building is so big, i might put a nice apartment in my office area.... that would be cool.

I was also thinking of building a chain of small hotels with one near that area that needs beautifcation... and my community assistance might clean up that area too.

Thanks for the help.. I will be in town on May 23 so I might drive around DT to see who is selling. I want something really obsenely large and penthouse-ish.

I believe you just solved your own dilemma. I think if your building is large enough, why not build a small or as you mentioned, a penthouse-ish apartment size room in it some where. Construct it in a way to where you have a nice balcony to get away on. You would definitely save a lot of money in the long run. But should you find that large penthouse-ish layout, you be sure and throw us a "Blogger" party....lol.

Well the downtown condos have to be cheaper than LA. The Condos downtown are not much more than small apartments. And the workmanship is among the worst in the area, cheapest labor they could find.

YEP..truthguys I agree with YBSRobin....if the building is that large..HECK make your own penthouse..like in NEW YORK CITY......and I will still go and clean up for ya....I am a very good cleaner.........we can negotiate a price..LOL..in the meantime, my offer is still open............take good care and please be safe.

Truth...unless the building has a dual zoning for both residential and commercial, you have to petition the city in order to build an apartment in your office...I like the night life downtown, just wish they would open back up the improv, and I have been itchin to go back to the cheyenne saloon

rfeally Candy... I will email you on my private email you have ... I would love to have you do that. I dont want to sub out to people I dont know for security reasons.

Ory: I forgot that, but I am sure my builder will address that. I am not sure that is the way to go. I actually need a cool, large place here for the community things I plan that will have private parties, to do the things we want to do.

I did find out today I am not divesting of Daytona Beach as much as I thought... buying a bunch of property on the beach that resembles a blighted area right now. But A listers wont come to Daytona to see our Orlando plans.... thus the thinking on a large place in DT or Lake Mary.

I dont know what I will do yet. but a lot of good ideas... thanks.

Oh and all of you: if i added some clubs and resturants and things to DT will people go or is there a place they like to go now. And when I say clubs I mean like 6th street in Austin for example where they have normal night clubs, jazz spots, other types.
