 Good Morning...

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. So much has been happening with Cassidy and Carter. Carter is getting bigger by the day. He's 7 months old and just started sleeping through the night... yes!  That is huge because Cassidy started sleeping through the night shortly after I went back to work.. I'd say about 4 months. What can I say Carter is a growing boy! He loves to eat. We are still waiting for the first teeth to come in and he is already starting to pull himself up on his toys.

Okay .. here we go!! John and I are reading to start potty training Cassidy. The big question is .. is Cassidy ready ??? She will be 2 in August and thought we'd give it a try sometime this month. Are boys harder to train than girls or is it the other way around ?? I would love any advice on this one. What worked for you and what didn't work?? How long did it take from start to finish?  What's the best kind of starter potty?? Thank you in advance and don't forget to check out my latest pictures. Looks like I need to do a little spring cleaning. Those albums are getting a little full.  Talk to you soon :)

Hey Traci, Thank you for the updated blog, we have missed you telling us about the kids.
Good luck on that training, to some it just comes easy. Cassidy will do fine if she is ready, and look at it this way, potti training now, drivers training later.

Traci, I think girls are easier to train than boys. Let Cassidy know she is ready to become a bigger girl, let her help choose her potty, training pants, etc. Read a book to her to help her sit still for a few minutes on the potty, praise her for trying even if she doesn't do anything. Take her often, she'll let you know if she's ready and you'll know also. Good luck

Hey Traci,
Loved the pictures of the kids isn't life beautiful. As far as, training Cassidy use a bell or a whistle to celebrate all the goodies she will deposit in potty each time. Turn it into a parade and get the whole family involve. Trust me she will continue use the potty just to see the joy on the family face. It worked for me (let's party!)

About Me: I was born and raised in Copley Township. I get up at 2 a.m. every morning and I hit the road while most people are still sleeping. This is the second time I have worked at Fox 8 News. I started here as an intern in the mid 90's while attending Kent State University. I basically started at the bottom and worked my way up. My first job at Fox 8 was ripping scripts for the Ten o'clock news and running the teleprompter for Tim Taylor and Wilma Smith. By the time I left Fox 8 for the first time I was producing the 8 a.m. morning newscast. I left for a short period of time to work on my skills as a reporter. I worked for a year and a half in Erie, Pennsylvania and spent time in Columbus before coming back to Fox 8. In 2000, Fox 8 hired me to launch Studio 8 at Summit Mall. Today, I am the morning co-anchor along side Wayne Dawson for Fox 8 News in the Morning from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. I love the fact people start their day with us. When I am out and about and I meet a viewer they always make me feel like I am part of their family. My work hours are great for raising two young children. I enjoy every minute I have with my husband, Cassidy and baby CJ. Oh, I can't forget our two big dogs Sam and Nikko.
