HERE'S WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES...

This in the country of Dubai back in 1990

Here's what the same street looked like in 2003

This One Was Taken Last Year

Dubai currently has 15 - 25% of all of the world's cranes

This is the Dubai Waterfront. When completed it will become the largest waterfront development in the world.

All of this was built in the last 5 years, including that island that looks like a palm tree.

The Palm Islands in Dubai. New Dutch dredging technology was used to create these massive man made islands..

They are the largest artificial islands in the world and can be seen from space.

Three of these Palms will be made with the last one being the largest of them all.

Upon completion, the resort will have 2,000 villas, 40 luxury hotels, shopping centers, movie theaters, and many other facilities. It is expected to support a population of approximately 500,000 people.  It is advertised as being visible from the moon.

These are the World Islands. 300 artificially created islands in the shape of the world.

Each island will have an estimated cost of $25-30 million.

The Burj al-Arab hotel in Dubai.  The world's tallest hotel.

Considered the ONLY '7 star' hotel and the most luxurious hotel in the world.

It stands on an artificial island in the sea.

Hydropolis, the world's first underwater hotel.

Entirely built in Germany and then assembled in Dubai, it is
scheduled to be completed by 2009 after many delays.

The Burj Dubai.  Construction began in 2005 and is expected to be complete by 2008.

At an estimated height of over 800 meters, it will easily be world's tallest building when finished.

It will be almost 40 percent taller than the current tallest building, the Yaipei 101.

This is what downtown Dubai will look like around 2008-2009.

More than 140 stories of the Burj Dubai have already been completed.

It is already the world's tallest man made structure and it is still not scheduled to be completed for at least another year.

The Al Burj. This will be the centerpiece of the Dubai Waterfront. Once completed it will take over the title of the tallest structure in the world from the Burj Dubai.

Recently it was announced that the final height of this tower
will be 1200 meters.

That would make it more than 30 percent taller than the Burj Dubai and three times as tall as the Empire State Building.

The Burj al Alam, or The World Tower. Upon completion it will rank as the world's highest hotel. It is expected to be finished by 2009.  At 480 meters it will only be 28 meters shorter than the Taipei 101.

The Trump International Hotel & Tower, which will be the centerpiece of one of the palm islands, The Palm Jumeirah.

Dubailand. Currently, the largest amusement park collection in the world is Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, which is also the largest single-site employer in the United states with 58,000 employees.

Dubailand will be twice the size.

It will be built on 3 billion square feet (107 miles) at an estimated $20 billion price tag. The site will include a purported 45 mega projects and 200 hundred other smaller projects.

The Dubai Sports City.  A huge collection of sports arenas located in Dubailand.

Currently, the Walt Disney World Resort is the #1 tourist destination in the world. Once fully completed, Dubailand will easily take over that title since it is expected to attract 200,000 visitors daily.

The Dubai Marina is an entirely man made development that will contain over 200 highrise buildings when finished.  It will be home to some of the tallest residential structures in the world.

The completed first phase of the project is shown. Most of the other high rise buildings will be finished by 2009-2010.

The Dubai Mall will be the largest shopping mall in the world with over 9 million square feet of shopping and around 1000 stores. It will be completed in 2008.

Ski Dubai, which is already open, is the largest indoor skiing facility in the world.

This is a rendered image of another future indoor skiing facility that is being planned.

Some of the tallest buildings in the world, such as Ocean Heights and The Princess Tower, which will be the largest residential building in the world at over a 100 stories, will line the Dubai Marina.

The UAE Spaceport would be the first spaceport in the world if construction ever gets under way.

And ... The Dubai Metro system, once completed, will become the largest fully automated rail system in the world. The Dubai World Central International Airport will become the largest airport in size when it is completed. It will also eventually become the busiest airport in the world, based
on passenger volume.  There are more construction workers in Dubai than there are actual citizens.

And finally, this is the world's first moving skyscraper. Construction is already underway in Italy and all parts will be transferred to Dubai soon.

It is rumored that the United States has discovered the WORLD'S LARGEST OIL RESERVE, right here at home in the Rocky Mountains.

Think about Dubai the next time you fill up. Think about the possible ocean of oil that sits right beneath our feet and think about the third world toilet our country is quickly becoming thanks to our open border system while Arab nations are poised to become the Superpowers of the future.

Yup, green river valley I believe.

Funny thing is, we import more oil from Canada then anywhere else. Guess what produces much of that oil? SHALE, just like whats in the green river valley.

Dubai is becoming a Euro jet-set haven.

Wonder what will happen to all of this when the crude runs out?

I hear the Dubai forcibly evicted Michael Jackson. He walked around in a "burka" and they couldn't take his sh#t anymore. Especially those pure white kids of his who were fathered in a test tube.

LOL I'm jealous. Have you seen parts of North Philadelphia?

We need to build ourselves up, not tear others down. If we're too stupid to develop alternative energies and create our own markets the way we did in the past, then we deserve to suffer.

As they say in business: innovate or die.

First of all, if you knew anything about Dubai, you would know that oil accounts for LESS THAN 6% of the country's annual revenue, and that they don't have that much oil. (Country around it do though) They get most of their revenue by trade, manufacturing and financial services.

Also you would know, that all these projects are aimed to make Dubai a tourist destination in the future, when that 6 percent of Oil runs out, but mostly when the oil in the surrounding regions runs out and their economies go bad. Dubai actually has already become a tourist destination for Europe, Asia, and Australia since some of these projects have been completed.

Regarding Michael Jackson (I know it was a joke), if I remember correctly, he moved to Bahrain not Dubai.

So let me get this straight. People from around the world were dying to visit a barren strip of desert in the Middle East and turned Dubai into Las Vegas in less than a decade? And most of their money comes from trade? Of what? Magic carpets.

The investment firms you speak of didn't pop up out of the sand and were funded by the "10% of the country's revenue" that comes from oil". Our's is much less than that.

And no my friend, it was Dubai, not Bahrain.

According to google news, he lived in Bahrain, Dubai, and Ireland, and is now in Vegas. But thats besides the point. lol

Dubai may have had more oil in the past giving them all their riches, but now they don't, and the little they have is running out. I think on National Geographic (about Dubai) they were saying their oil is going to run out completely around 2020 or something.

The ruler of Dubai saw that, and decided to build all the stuff you put in the opening post and change the countries source of revenue for the future. Currently though, like I said, only 6% of their annual revenue is from Oil and natural gas.

And yes, Dubai has indeed already become somewhat of a tourist destination thanks to these projects, and they are trying to build that much bigger. Of course it is not a tourist destination for Americans though....

I'm a proud American patriot who doesn't like unwelcome criminals from south of the border breaking into my house and illegally stealing my property.

I've done two tours of duty to protect the land I love and now I'm sworn to the mission of protecting our borders from foreign criminals and terrorists who choose to use my land as their toilet. I will do everything humanly possible to make sure illegals are never given amnesty for the crimes they've committed.

You want citizenship? Move to the back of the line just like my grandfather did. Then learn English FLUENTLY and get a skill so that you can contribute something to this great land. Mowing lawns and selling oranges on the freeway doesn't qualify, nor does selling drugs or prostituting yourself.

Come here legally, we'll welcome you with open arms. Otherwise America will treat you like the criminal scum that you are! If you're an illegal, don't say I didn't warn you because despite what Bush has told you, your life is about to become a living hell. Electrify the fence!
