Amezcua Named FOX 11 Co-Anchor

Carlos Amezcua has been named co-anchor of the top-rated KTTV FOX 11 10 p.m. newscast, announced Kevin Hale, the station’s Vice President and General Manager.


Amezcua is expected to make his first appearance on the program on Monday, October 1, 2007.

I love Carlos!!! I used to watch him prior to GDLA back in the early 90's. What happened to John Beard??

OMG I am going to miss John Beard. He and Christine were perfect together. I totally trusted him with my news. I am not going to accept this change.

What about John Beard??? I love him, his sense of humor, and his professionalism. I don't feel Carlos will be a good fit for channel 11.

I will certainly miss John Beard too.
Man He is the greatest male anchor on Fox11 news I feel. What a tough act to follow.
John I wish you the best I hope you move up to the Fox News Network.

KTLA did not want Carlos. I don't want Carlos. His face on ch 11 is as good a reason as any reason not to watch ch 11 news. Bizarre choice to be the face of a newsteam. Makes me wonder whose neck is going to get severed after this hiring decision!

Carlos Amezcua...is a fat faced talking head. In fact his neck fat folds over his shirt collar which is disgusting.

Looks like hes going to have a stroke with that tight neck collar and tie...maybe.

Carlos Amezcua?..Wow thats the best they could come up with as John Beards replacement?..I for one can't stand Carlos Amezcua, he's the sole reason I stopped watching ktla's morning show, and now the sole reason I will not watch Fox 11 news at 10!!

Good move Fox 11, whats next Carlos Amezcua on Good Day L.A....Geez, I sure hope that NEVER happens!

Hey, those knuckleheads at Fox just made a replacement without consulting with the public.

It's like...here...this is your new Co-anchor Carlos Amezcua...It's like... who's Carlos Amezcua?

O.K. Los Angeles, now your going to choke on this new Co-Anchor being stuffed down your throats.

It will take some time for the people to digest the verbage from a strange talking head.

I mean Fox should have had a competition for this position....like an American idol competition for news anchors.

Fox has a competition for everything else. Why not for a new Co-Anchor?

If I were Christine Devine, I would have requested it...and ratings would go through the roof.

I think this is one of Fox News darker days...Not a very well thought out management decision by those idiot Fox executives.

You Fox executives think you can't be touched...teflon huh...think again!

It's just like listening to your favorite radio station every day , then all of a sudden your favorite dj is gone . That's the way it goes , competition . I guess who ever makes these decisions must think it is the best way to go , for ratings and all . Who knows ?!?Carlos Amezcua is well spoken and always dresses professional , I for one, like him and I wish him the best !

I might be weak--I would not be watching FOX' 10 o'clock news when John Beard leaves the show. I hope he will be anchoring another news program, so that my family and I can keep watching him. We LOVE John Beard!!!!!

I like John beard and dont really care for Carlos but who know I might like him if he does a good job. I love fox 11 news
