Paris is what Paris is and news will be news. Just like when Anna Nicole Died and the Virginia Tech Massacre happened, the stories were largely televised but Anna Nicole took the spotlight. It's not right but hey it's THE NEWS!

We have heros here and abroad making daily sacrifices for the good of others, including their lives, and to think Paris Hilton, who has done absolutely nothing to contribute to society, except participating in a get out and vote campaign, in which she did not vote, should be excused from her piddly debt to the very society that has allowed a nobody like her to be famous, that our soldiers who have died in combat or the family of the officers who died in the line of duty this week, get as much newstime as the lotto numbers. PH NOT NEWS!! People who vote and watch the news don't watch Paris Hilton.

I think people (some at least) follow the Paris thing because in this world of injustice...we are seeing some justice done! If we follow the news of our boys and girls killed...and the anguish of our families left behind...well, to be truthful I get really depressed. It is not that I don't care...but there is just so much bad news...In fact a few days ago I got on this blog site and started reading the posts...and shut her down. All the posts were depressing to me (tho' I post depressing stuff also)...like Immigration, the War, etc, ect.....everything is depressing..because WE HAVE NO CONTROL!!.so someone getting their due, like Paris is exhiliating!!
